The sound of chirping birds met Cole, nature in all it's splendor seemed to whisper words of encouragement and peace. If he had to be honest he almost felt the need to relax, and fall asleep, but then that was not his way. There was a buzz of notifications in the background, but for now Cole pushed it to the back of his mind as he observed his location.
He was on a hill overlooking a wide plateau. To the east he could see the ocean, and right in the middle of the plateau was a great walled city. But the city itself was not just sitting on the flat lands, in the middle the plateau rose up to create a massive hill that said city was built around. And top of that hill was a very beautiful castle with white alabaster walls and black flags with motifs of golden griffins on them.
The wind blew as Cole noticed patrols of knights/soldiers down on the plateau, patrolling past small farm houses that were outside the city. They all rode massive mechanical looking horses, and had swords and bows strapped to their sides. Cole raised an eyebrow and shifted his eyes to the skyline of the medieval city, noticing airships/dirigibles floating into and out of the city while ships sailed away and towards the city from the horizon.

This was the first quest Cole had ever failed, but never the less the rewards for delivering Peronico and his family to Meros would have been nothing more than some heartfelt thanks, and unfortunately Cole did not roll like that, not even for the bloody system.
Now that people were getting much stronger, freaking skills that could take a persons life both here and in their reality were showing up. He could take some quest and end up being dog food or something. He might have thrived on the 5th floor, but that was because he was lucky. The standard of strength for the 5th floor's gold rank was probably very weak.
Much like how the standard of strength on the third was really high that Cole could barely survive the attacks from the Banelings, and most were of equal or even lesser strength than him. It has taught him not to underestimate any of the floors he might find himself in.

Cole for one did not give a shit about sierra Corp. They were right in the middle of this somehow, they might not be responsible for the system deciding to eat their reality, but their existence doesn't add up. If they were enemies then Cole needed to know.
Of course apart from when he had won the shares, and when they had sent him his personal security team, Sierra corp had not really showed themselves in any way or form. But Cole knew they were there, waiting in the shadows, moving things in place and plotting.
He needed to know how they got here, and why they built Titan Rising Online and made it possible for people's souls? To travel across the fabric of reality, gain a body here and get strong. All of the answers that a person could possibly want about all of the shit that has been going on. All those information lay in the hands of Sierra Corp board of directors, and Cole needed to either bring them down or get them to give him and the rest of humanity some answers.
"Well I wont be getting those answers while I'm standing here. Will deal with that once I get back." Cole mumbled to himself as he took one more careful look around.
Other Aspirants had showed up, funny enough none of them seemed to be Raens. Looks like it was right back to being randomly thrown in different places. Plus with the influx of new aspirants, there would be too many unfamiliar faces. He waited a bit, even making sure to get a vantage point just to see if he could spot anyone he recognized, or any Raen, but there was none.
After that he wasted no more time and began to make his way towards the city, then thought better of it and just logged off. The next part of his adventure would be in his reality and he needed to be ready, after all...the apocalypse has started."
