"That bitch…..she cut my delve short, then again that was understandable, she wouldn't want me to go through all of her army before I get to her, she would have noticed I was a lot stronger than what ever she would throw at me. But more than she noticed….she noticed [Sin Eater]" Cole said to himself as he stepped forwards to the mermaid receptionist in a tank.

He skimmed over his notifications first, he was definitely walking into a fight, he needed to be ready and prepared things would be hitting the fan. Nimue has proved she was a lot more analytical than Garudon and dealt with things with a bit of guile. However Gaudy hallway, let him know that both dragons shared a love for posh representation and life style….to cut the long story short….she was as greedy as Garudon or at least vain.

Cole walked forwards to the massive double doors in front of him, the swung open of their own accord, letting Cole into a small stream pouring out from a waterfall, with trees, flowers and jagged rocks that rose up into the air, and wrapped around one of those rocks was a massive Asian dragon.

Her eyes were like storms, blazing and glowing as she stared back at him, a sense of power evoked from her body. But ultimately it was just that, a sense of power, not real power, because the dragon he was looking at was already dead. Her silvery blue scales were dull, and her whiskers hung down lifelessly from her massive corpse.

"Well this is a problem…..a very, very big problem." Cole said as he turned to face the second dragon in the room, a blue dragon but with a mane of fiery red hair and bright golden yellow eyes that Cole had seen in one other dragon's eyes before.

"You have got to be kidding me…..is Garudon your father per chance?" Cole asked as he observed the dragon, noting that it was smaller, way smaller than the colossal size that was Nimue.

"Yes, the red one is my sire…. but I have no connection or business with him. And neither do I have any quarrel with you. So there is no need for you to fight me. As you can see my mother is dead, I have all the access to her treasures and I have her prism. We can come to an agreement and as a matter of fact a deal. The dungeon is not what you think it is." fre(e)webnovel.com

Cole looked at the baby dragon then back at the mama dragon and growled to himself. Shit just got complicated, he just lost a boat load of stats with the death of this dragon, and this baby dragon wasn't worth shit, it might talk a big game but Cole could feel it was mainly still in the silver rank, with perhaps only a single stat in the gold rank…. this dragon is not a threat.

"whats going on here then?"

"My mother was losing her mind, she could never get over the fact that my own father had betrayed her, took power for himself and took everything she holds dear. And as for me…. all I could be to her was a reminder of her greatest failure. The dungeon has life in it, a pocket universe within the universe, apart from the first floor which you slayed simple dungeon creatures, the second floor which is actually the 17th was a place of learning and with good people.

And you slaughtered them all, granted this was my fault for making the call to send you there, thinking they would have stopped you and you would have been another source of energy for the dungeon. Now I am left with no choice but to ask that you help us survive the sapphire sea.

All of the creatures or rather most of them are pulled from the dimension pockets that encompass the dungeon. These are perhaps instances of reality that has been lost to the void or given form by the omnipotence of the soul realm. But in the end they all have life, they're are people, and families and they deserve a chance to be alive to live. With my mother dead, we have been running the dungeon, continuing to build her army to deter anyone from attempting to claim the tower and using her voice to deter the really strong from coming here.

All of the two methods we use to deal with people of your strength has not worked. So I'm asking what you want in exchange for keeping our current arrangement a secret, and perhaps offer us three favors that we can call upon at any time. We need time to truly grow strong and into a power that can protect itself from the other powers of the sapphire sea, will you help us?"

"Well I am something of a mercenary for hire, I don't have much time here but for the right price I can help you, which of course is inclusive of your dearly departed mother's prism. And then among other things too, however I do have a counter offer, how about you and this dungeon swear allegiance to me, then you become my property and I will get you in touch with a growing techno-magical space age demonic civilization."

"Is that what you are?" The dragon asked, probably wondering if it was race that made it possible for Cole to slay be absorbing the stats of other beings. The only answer for that was.

"Yup."

The dragon fell silent for a moment, deep in contemplation as he asked.

"this civilization, I assume it's being born from the aspirants of your home world? Which means for at least a 100 years we will be safe and protected, at least until the integration has been fully completed. Right?"

"Uh-err- sure. I cant say I know how long an Integration lasts, but a denizen would be protected by acclimating to my civilization. You would be part of a wider network and have the chance to learn and grow, but you should also be ready to give back in whatever way you can….. we help ourselves and we listen to the boss unequivocally."

"Okay….what do you want me to do?"
