Both bullets seemed to dance around themselves, a fiery blaze of black flames and black ice. The path that they took to get to Cole's target was completely desolated as massive chaotic scars of flames and ice seemed to scour the very earth under their feet. Eze stacked as many more shields around himself as he could, no matter what it was, it was not just that this guy wanted to stop Cole's attack, he wanted to stop Cole from winning.

Cole might not have known this but he was now something of an urban legend. He has never been truly defeated, he might have retreated from a fight before, as is evidenced by his adventures in the first floor and fourth floor, running from aliens and a massive undead abomination. He knew how to pick his battles, but he still has faced off against impossible odds, and had always seemed to find a way to come out on top. Because of that reputation amongst the aspirants of this event and the many other players who have been getting ready in order to come join the event, many of them had made Cole the bench mark of power.

He was an example of the pinnacle of human achievement and prowess, and anybody who was able to bring him down would become the undisputed number 1. Cole might not have checked the ranking list for a while, but since the second floor Cole has not left the number 1 position, even when someone had gotten to the fourth floor before him. He was the strongest and defeating the strongest wouldn't just make you the strongest, it would make you a freaking legend.

But today was not Eze's turn to be a legend. It could not be denied that out of everyone that Cole has ever face, he was the only one with the potential to beat Cole, in fact Cole knew that as he was right now, Eze could beat him, but right now the difference in their strengths was coming down to one thing and one thing only….. equipment. Eze's staff for all it's gaudy look, even his axes and the armor he had on, were just at the iron rank. Perhaps they were a bit higher, but compared to Cole's guns, they were powerful extremely powerful for their ranks, growth weapons against what was probably mass produced magic staffs.

They could not match or meet up, so the barriers broke apart like thin sheets of glass. Each one of them resounding across the Glade like a symphony of a thousand bells. Eze tried to teleport, something that Cole had prepared for as [Gravity] suddenly Increased around Eze and his own shadow seemed to develop hands that held him down in place. It was an eerie sight as Cole's hands had also seemed vanish, Eze raised his head to cast one final spell to withstand the onslaught of the attack in front of him.

The attack was rapidly breaking through all of his shields, so he raised his staff, about to cast another spell, when two gun shots were head. A bullet went through his left foot, and another through his back, and out his lower right chest, straight through his lung as he took a deep breath, only for it to be filled with blood, as he crumpled to the ground, his attention broken as the last shield he had raised around himself had been destroyed by Cole.

"Shit!"

*BOOM!*

The Explosion itself was nothing short of spectacular as a shockwave was released and Cole himself was blasted backwards. A storm of black flames and black ice seemed to grow and swallow the entire Glade. Causing black chaotic ice to spread across the pillars and patches of it's beautiful landscape to catch on fire, burning away for what was seemingly an eternity. What Cole could do with [Chaos Blast] and his weapons was nothing short of chaotic, and it seems this would only just be the beginning.

The storm dispersed, just as suddenly as it had appeared. In it's wake was Eze kneel on the ground, half his body burnt black to a crisp while red veins snaked around it, the other half had jagged black ice growing out of his own body as blood dribbled down his lips while his eyes glared at Cole. Even with all of that the guy was still alive, and as far as Cole was comecr3d it was quite the shock and quite the achievement, in the end it's looking that more and more Eze truly was worthy of the respect that Cole afforded him.

"So you win this round….. and with it everything that I've been trying to build for the last month." Cole shrugged, still a bit wary seeing as Eze was still able to speak well, even with the massive extent of his injuries. But never the less he was wary, not afraid as he moved closer until he was standing in front of the kneeling man.

"I like that you said this round, because we will fight again, and again, but maybe next time not to the death. We humans of earth have a saying, Iron sharpens iron. You will not just be my general, you will be a grindstone to make sure I do not get dull, that I remain the blade that will continue to cut a path forwards. I will also do the same for you, but only if you're willing. Our bet aside, I would still humbly ask that you join me." Cole said as he stretched out a hand to help him up.

"And I told you that I would only do that if you can defeat me. I'm still breathing you bastard, there's still life in my broken body, it means I am still not defeated. Finish it!" Cole blanched for a second, both eyebrows furrowed and raised as he looked at Eze, then he nodded his head as he said. "I see."

*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*

Cole proceeded to riddle his body with bullets, poking him full of so many holes you could probably use his body to catch fish(probably not, but still…..a lot of holes.) Eze's body crashed to the ground with a loud crash a rather garish scene exposed to Cole's eyes for a few seconds before he vanished. Cole shrugged his head as he went around picking up the remaining dormant darkling core's, then making his way to one of the pillars, then he say down to wait for the fifteen minutes to be up.
