Chapter 415 - Her Plan Of Vengeance

Just as Raylene and Beatrice had expected, the gossip about Topher's thirteenth birthday celebration was spread all over the Capital city, Amarthea.

Every noble family heard the news of how grand the heir of Duke Tanner's birthday banquet was.

With this information, another piece of information was also being wildly propagated among the people of Amarthea.

The rumors about the genius daughter of the St. Claires being on her deathbed were completely discredited due to the accounts given by many witnesses who had attended the party.

Not only was she proved to be in perfect health, but there was also talk about how close she was with the second son of the Duke.

The boy was hovering around her the entire time and everyone present could bear witness to this.

There was also talk about how well she played the piano on that special occasion.

Some people who had heard that she was a pupil of Governess Lester and claimed to have completed her course decided to get some confirmation from a legitimate source.

Thus, for the next few days, Governess Lester began receiving letters from many Madames in the noble society about the authenticity of this news.

Being the prideful lady that she was, Governess Lester sent the same reply to each of these letters that she had received in quick succession.

{Does the Lady doubt my competence as a tutor?}

This single statement was enough to stop any further doubts about Yvonne St. Claire being an exemplary pupil personally taught by the stern yet proficient Governess Lester.

Once this development came to light, three things were ascertained about the mysterious daughter of Earl St. Claire.

First, she was a musical genius who was able to finish her piano course sooner than the rest even though she was learning under the tutelage of the Governess who was a true perfectionist.

The second was the fact that not only she but her mother was also close to the Duchess and their family.

Finally and the most important information that everybody was now sure of was that the rumors about the little girl being fatally ill were inaccurate.

When Yvonne heard this progress from her tutor, Marquess Samed, she smiled as her mother's plans had come to fruition.

Though she was happy for her mother's success, she had yet to put her plans into action.

Her plans of teaching the culprit a proper lesson for meddling in her life had not yet begun.

But before she could set any plan into motion, she needed to know certain pieces of information.

The identity of the mastermind behind the origin of her rumors was still unknown.

She first needed to find the culprit and for that, she already had an idea in mind which she had shared with someone.

Thus the task of finding the culprit was left to her tutor, Marquess Samed, a trusted man whose expertise laid in obtaining information through his intricate web of spies he had planted in various households.

As Marquess Samed had promised to help her find the person who had dared to tarnish his favorite pupil's reputation, all she had to do was wait.

Wait until he figured out the identity of the person behind this mess.

Once she obtained a name, she could then make sure that the other person was taught a proper lesson for wrecking her efforts of staying away from the eye of the public for so many months.

__

Marquess Samed did not disappoint his pupil as within a week, he had found out the identity of the person who was at the center of the rumors about the little girl.

Right now, the man with silver hair sat on the opposite side of the couch and waited for her to finish reading the detailed report that he had prepared concerning the job that she had entrusted to him.

The task was a little complicated which was the reason why his spies had taken much longer before giving him any useful information.

However, just as he had promised, he delivered the reports to his pupil at the end of a week.

Yvonne read through the file and when she reached the last line, her eyes flashed with menace when she read the name of the person who had caused her harm.

Marquess Samed had not discovered this change in her as the file was covering her face and blocking his view.

'So it was you…' She smirked as she was aware of this person's identity.

After all, she had met this person before and if her memory served her right, there seemed to be some bad blood between them.

Since she had never done anything to offend this person, it could be assumed that their grudge was against the previous owner of this body before Yvonne had taken control of it.

'What a mess…' She shook her head as she put the file away.

Sullivan had been waiting to see how she would react but was disappointed to see that there was no change in her expression.

"Where is the anger? The frustration? The death threats?" He muttered to himself but the silent room ensured that his words were crystal clear and had traveled to her ears.

Tilting her head, Yvonne raised her eyebrows in amusement at how his mind worked in strange ways.

'He's been watching too many over-dramatic operas.' She sneered in her mind before clearing her throat to gain his attention.

"Does the Marquess have something to say?" She inquired while displaying a practiced smile.

Sullivan coughed when he realized that he had spoken those words out loud instead of them just being his inner thoughts.

Therefore, he decided to divert her attention elsewhere.

"What do you plan to do with this information?" He prodded to know what might be on her mind.

Though Yvonne had understood the meaning of his actions, she did not expose him and moved to the next topic that he had brought up.

"Are you going to bring this to the notice of the Earl?" Sullivan shot out another question before she could answer the first.

Yvonne smiled at her tutor who got excited at times, especially when gossip was involved.

"Of course it is to take revenge, Marquess." She revealed her thoughts without any qualms as she knew that he would also be eager to witness that.

After all, what better gossip than to see two families fighting against each other.

Just as she had expected, Marquess Samed's face lit up after taking in her declaration.

"And to answer your second question… No, Papa will not hear about this." She continued which brought a frown to his face.

"Not now at least." Her final addition to her answer succeeded in neutralizing the frown.

If she was going to avenge her poor strategy of staying out of the eyes of the nobles which was now dead, then she would have to come up with a proper plan.

For that, she would have to figure certain things out before her plan of vengeance could be executed.

She also needed to be careful about how they dealt with this matter as making a move right now would raise many questions.

"So what do you plan to do now?" Marquess Samed inquired after taking a look at her contemplative face.

He had figured out that she might have something big cooking in that crafty little mind of hers.

This only meant that there would be a lot of fun for him to witness in the future.

Yvonne, in reply to his query, smiled and looked at her tutor who was eager to hear more.

"Now, we wait, Marquess." She disclosed the first step of her plan.

'Wait until I have the perfect plan then execute it at the perfect moment to cause some proper damage.' Yvonne decided and was sure that she would conjure a foolproof plan soon enough.

Now that she was aware of who the culprit was, she could formulate the plan to take down the one who had brought this chaos upon her.

"Patience is the key." She muttered as striking without preparations would result in a backlash which she most certainly wished to avoid.

She also knew that to strike now would only garner unnecessary attention towards her once again.

Therefore, she would wait until it was the perfect moment to land her blow.

Once she had come to that decision, Yvonne looked up at the man who could come in handy for one more task.

"In the meantime, Marquess, please tell me everything you know about the Blaises." She requested in a sincere tone.

The glint that flashed across those amethyst eyes proved that she was keen to learn about this particular family.

Marquess Samed glanced at the last line of the report which had the same name and nodded, following which he began to disclose everything that he knew about the family of Earl Blaise.
