Chapter 333 – Coming Back to Life
A waiter walked into the room in the nick of time, causing Gu Yi’an to heave a sigh of relief.
This waiter was a god-send!
Though no one said anything out of the ordinary during their meal, the atmosphere was still rather awkward, and Gu Yi’an felt quite uncomfortable during the entire meal.
Su Jincheng insisted on following Luo Qiqi back after that, and Luo Qiqi was rendered speechless at how thick-skinned he was.
Su Jincheng was thus able to enter Luo Qiqi’s home on the very first day he arrived back in the country.
Gu Yi’an was nothing but impressed with Su Jincheng’s persistence. It’s no wonder he was able to steal Luo Qiqi’s heart.
Su Jincheng and Su Jinyu slept in the same room that night. Su Jincheng had initially wanted to be with Luo Qiqi, but she refused to open the door for him.
Su Jincheng had no choice but to return to the boy’s room to think of a strategy.
He finally came up with an idea which he felt would definitely work. All he had to do was to ensure that the little boy stayed with him. Seeing how Luo Qiqi loved her son, he would definitely be able to get her back like that!
He silently thanked Gu Yi’an after arriving in their apartment and looking at their living arrangement.
Gu Yi’an must have been the one who took care of Luo Qiqi during and after her pregnancy.
Su Jincheng was determined to get her back.
Luo Qiqi would never have expected Su Jinyu to start calling Su Jincheng ‘Daddy’ after just one night together.
What did Su Jincheng do for her son to like him so much!
Su Jincheng had actually shown the boy his childhood photos and told him that he was his biological father before asking for the boy’s help to get Luo Qiqi back so that they could be reunited as one happy family.
The little boy believed every word Su Jincheng said and decided to help his dad get his mum back.
Apart from Luo Qiqi, Gu Yi’an was also surprised to hear Su Jinyu call Su Jincheng ‘Daddy’ the next morning.
“Lele, who are you calling ‘Daddy’!”
“Isn’t he Daddy? I look exactly like Daddy when he was younger!”

Of course, Su Jinyu didn’t tell her that this was what Su Jincheng had instructed him to say.
After finding out from the boy that Gu Yi’an and Luo Qiqi were nothing but friends, Su Jincheng treated Gu Yi’an totally differently from before.
Luo Qiqi tried her best to ignore him for the few days Su Jincheng stayed with them, but Su Jincheng simply refused to leave.
Xia Zi called one day to invite Luo Qiqi and Su Jinyu to hang out, saying that she and Guan Zixuan were visiting A City for a while.
Luo Qiqi had yet to tell Xia Zi that Su Jincheng was back. Both of them were busy with their children and there were many things which they just did not have the time to share in detail.
Xia Zi knew that Luo Qiqi had given birth, and the two of them usually chatted through WeChat. However, she didn’t even know that Luo Qiqi was living with Gu Yi’an now and that Luo Qiqi’s health was not great.
Luo Qiqi didn’t want to share these details with Xia Zi initially because she didn’t want her to worry, but who knew that fate would have everything made known.
Gu Yi’an decided to join them since Guan Zixuan was going to be there, and he wanted to ask about Guan Zijue.
Gu Yi’an’s feelings for Guan Zijue had never faded in the past few years.
Luo Qiqi, Su Jinyu, Su Jincheng and Gu Yi’an headed for the restaurant to meet Xia Zi at about seven in the evening.
The sight surprised Luo Qiqi as she opened the door to their private room.
Guan Zijue was shocked to see Gu Yi’an standing right beside her as he looked up.
Imagine seeing someone you loved appear in front of you again when you thought he was dead.
Surprise, joy, and anger seemed to fill Guan Zijue at the same time.
Guan Zijue had to use all his mental strength to stop himself from getting up and asking Gu Yi’an why he lied to him.
Guan Zijue had not planned on visiting A City, but Guan Zixuan convinced him to come along since he just so happened to be on leave. Guan Zixuan thought traveling would probably do him some good since Guan Zijue was rather down in the dumps for the past few years.
Guan Zijue thought that it would be nice to visit A City since it was where Gu Yi’an used to stay, but he did not expect to see Gu Yi’an alive and well.
Gu Yi’an knew that his cover was blown the moment he spotted Guan Zijue.
Luo Qiqi looked at Guan Zijue and Gu Yi’an before turning to Xia Zi and her daughter, Guan Ruolan. She then walked into the room silently.
The eight of them were finally seated at the table, but no one spoke.
Guan Zixuan was the first to break the silence. “Lele, you’re getting more and more handsome! You’re just like a tiny gentleman!”
“What do you think about having your Ruolan marry my son?” asked Luo Qiqi.
Guan Zixuan stiffened at this, while Xia Zi laughed. Guan Ruolan was Guan Zixuan’s precious baby. He wouldn’t allow anyone to take her away from him.
He would have rebuked anyone else, but he didn’t say anything only because it was Luo Qiqi who spoke.
On the other hand, Guan Zijue had been staring at Gu Yi’an the entire time.
Guan Zijue asked as he pointed at Su Jinyu, “Who’s child is he?”
Gu Yi’an was the first to answer. “He’s my son, with Qiqi!”
Su Jincheng’s expression turned stormy.
Luo Qiqi then said, “That’s right. Our son is already four!”
She quickly pinched Su Jincheng, signalling for him not to say anything else.
Though unhappy, Su Jincheng could tell from the atmosphere that something was wrong, especially when someone as calm as Gu Yi’an acted so out of sorts.
Guan Zijue then said, “I don’t know you. I only know Luo Qiqi. I haven’t seen you before!”
This surprised everyone present.
No one would have expected for the two of them to meet like this!
Gu Yi’an said, “Well, I guess I should introduce myself then! My name is Gu Yi’an, and I’m a freelancer!”
Though Guan Zijue looked calm on the outside, he was already overcome with emotions. The man he loved wasn’t dead, and he appeared with a child!
Luo Qiqi felt rather uncomfortable throughout the entire meal. It felt as if everything they did was for naught and that everything returned to where it was initially.
The two young children were the only ones who seemed to enjoy the meal.
Xia Zi suggested karaoke after that, but Guan Zijue refused and said he had somewhere else to be.
There was a palpable sense of relief after he left.
Unable to suppress her curiosity, Luo Qiqi asked, “A’zi, what’s going on? Why is he here in A City?”
“We thought some traveling would be good for him, but who wouldn’t be shocked if you saw someone you thought was dead appear right in front of you? I was definitely shocked. It took a while for me to realize that Gu Yi’an had actually faked his death...”
She then glanced at Gu Yi’an.
Luo Qiqi shook her head. “I thought I wanted to give you guys a surprise by taking Gu Yi’an with me. But it backfired.”
Instead of going to the karaoke, they decided to go to a teahouse before going their separate ways.
Once back home, Gu Yi’an locked himself in his room while Su Jincheng pulled Luo Qiqi into her room.
Su Jinyu watched them in confusion. Am I being ignored?
