The woman in the spotlight was nothing to him, unlike Mikena, who was quite a useful tool.

'Heh, you're so easy to manipulate…' Victor grinned looking at Mikena's condition, but his words really were true. He didn't care about that woman, he was just interested in spectating an incident that happened only in novels.
It was about two hours after the first batch of cultivators was gone, with two new ones coming to replace the one that had gone, and so it went on every time. Victor was in no hurry to take part in the first selection, because there were too many people crowding around the stele.
He couldn't leave the square either, since he didn't want his place in line to be taken by anyone else, so he did what was rather pleasant - flirting with Mikena. The various phrases and hand motions that caused Mikena's face to be completely flushed red gave him an indescribable sense of pleasure.
Just when Victor lost his patience, he heard mocking voices around the man next to the stele. Seeing who the man was, Victor dragged Mikena with him to the center of the noise.
As he approached the stele he noticed a woman on it who had previously garnered his interest, not physically, of course, but simply out of curiosity. This woman clearly stood out from the crowd because of her appearance.
She had jet black hair, brown eyes and a pretty good figure, but compared to Mikena she was pretty mediocre and that was one of the reasons why Victor didn't care about her at all, in his opinion there was nothing special about her that would make her stand out from the crowd.
For example, Chu Yuechan was not only an appetizing mature woman but also gave him a sense of comfort, while Mikena was quite cute like a cat, but this woman had nothing but beauty.
"Hey, that's Victor! What are you doing here?!" - Suddenly an arrogant voice from behind interrupted Victor's musings.
He turned around and noticed a small crowd of young cultivators with three men and two girls.
At the head of the group was a young man about the same age as Victor, he had a rather mediocre appearance but despite this people in his group were quite respectful to him as it was evident from their posture.
But, Victor didn't seem to notice him at all as he focused his gaze on one of the girls in his group.

The girl he noticed was none other than Mu Bing Yun, he was a little shocked that he met her again as he didn't want to meet her anymore. This girl though had a beautiful appearance but was quite arrogant and this character reminded him of a girl from his second life.
So he wanted to at least reduce their communication or better not to see her at all anymore.
'She must take after her father.' Victor pinched his chin, as her mother Chu Yuechan was the complete opposite of her, she had a "fluffy" atmosphere around her and was pleasant to talk to, which cannot be said about Mu Bing Yun.
The difference between them was like heaven and earth.
She was a little embarrassed when she saw the strange look in Victor's eyes, because she was also surprised to meet him again, especially at the sect selection.
"Are you following me again?" - Suddenly she looked him in the face.
"Huh? Are you out of your fucking mind?" - Victor was taken aback by her words for a while, he spoke directly as if to tell her to stay away from him.

"So ex-fiancée…" Mikena's eyes gleamed with a cold glint for a few seconds before becoming normal again.
She was a little curious as to how she looked because before, Mikena did not look at this crowd at all, except for Victor all the others in her eyes were ants who were barely worthy of life.
"She's quite attractive for an ant." At the sight of Mu Bing Yun's appearance, Mikena felt an overwhelming urge to kill her for a few seconds, but shook her head trying to put the thought out of her mind.
It was unwise to kill the Mu Clan heiress now, because if she did, Victor could end up suffering the ire of the Mu Clan, which she wanted to avoid at all costs no matter what.
Mu Bing Yun was stunned for a while, Victor's words were like being struck by lightning in her head, because since her birth, no one up to this point had dared to address her so disrespectfully.
"Bastard…" - She muttered, looking at Victor's back, when suddenly her gaze stopped on the woman he held by the hand.
When Mikena turned around and looked into Mu Bing Yun's eyes, she saw Mikena gaze at her too and was stunned yet again.
She was now almost certain that the woman next to him was the one he had rescued from the bandits and later fucked in his room.
'Is he an idiot?' She thought contemptuously of Victor's relationship with Mikena.
