Chapter 30 – We Belong In Different Worlds (1)

After leaving Chunfeng Alley, Yu Duo still didn’t go to the hospital.

She had the chauffeur took her to Panlong Cemetery and walked by herself to Fu Sinian’s grave site with a bundle of lilies that she had picked up on her way there.

The scenery was nice next to his grave site, having mountains and water. It was a good spot as one’s permanent resting place. The area in front of Fu Sinian’s grave site was even more spacious. The grass was kept neatly trimmed and not a single weed could be seen. A few cypress trees stood proudly in front of it.

Even though Yu Duo and Fu Sinian didn’t love each other as husband and wife, they were a couple after all, and for three whole years. Now that Fu Sinian was going to reincarnate, she felt that she owed it to him to send him on his way.

The only thing she didn’t know was what would Fu Sinian reincarnate into.

He had built his empire from nothing, presumably he had done a lot of bad things to get to where he was; otherwise, he wouldn’t have met the tragic ending like that of a villain.

We’ve been a couple once. In a few days I’ll go to a temple for you and lit you an incense and have a tablet set up for you. I’ll also do more good deeds and help you save some good karma points.

Amituofo.

(T/N: Equivalent to “Amen” for Buddhist.)

Before she reached Fu Sinian’s grave, she heard some sharp and miserable shouts along with low thudding noises from a human body being punched and kicked.

Yu Duo gasped, stopped under the cypress tree with the bundle of lilies in her hand, and dare not make any moves.

“Brother Qi.... Brother Qi, please believe me! I didn’t do any... ouch.... Anything to betray Boss Fu!”

Hiding behind the tree, Yu Duo’s heart pounded in her chest. She was just about to turn around and take the same way back when she heard Ah Qi’s voice.

“You were the one in charge of the yacht! I saw a million dollars deposited into your account recently, what do you have to say for yourself?” Ah Qi voice was as clear as usual, but todays it had an added hint of bone-chilling coldness.

“Yes, I was responsible for the yacht that day, but it really... really wasn’t me.... OWWWWWW!”

Yu Duo stealthily peeked her head out from behind the cypress tree.

She saw Ah Chi standing and five other men standing not far from Fu Sinian’s grave. Two men in suits had a man clamped down on his knees. His face was covered in blood. His face was bruised and a mess, and his original looks were nowhere to be found.

“Brother Qi, trust me....” The man was forced to laid out in front of him on the grass. Looking up, his face was full of fear as he looked at Ah Qi. His lips trembling; he was terrified.

Ah Qi looked down on him where he stood, and his look becoming progressively colder as though it was filled with poison. His lips curved into a sarcastic look, and his entire demeanor was full of viciousness.

“Trust you?” He stepped onto the man’s hand and grinded down on it.

The man shrieked in pain. His face distorted, and cold sweat was dripping down his cheeks.

Yu Duo almost felt a pain on her own hand as though she had heard the sound of bones being crushed.

A man handed a knife to Ah Chi. Ah Chi took the knife from him and squatted down. His foot was still on the man’s hand. He ran the back of the knife back and forth on the man’s hand.

“Big Brother had always been good to you. Let’s straighten everything out in front of him. Did you accept that $1 million from Qin Shao?”

Shuddering, the man shook his head, his eyes followed where the knife went, “No... No. It really wasn’t me, Brother Qi. Believe me. I wouldn’t dare. Really, Boss Fu had always been nice to me. Why would I do that?”

Ah Qi seemed to have gotten tired of the man’s words. With a snicker, he shoved the knife toward the man.

“OOHHH!”
