Chapter 11 – What an infuriating woman! (4)
On the way there, Yu Duo only sat in the back seat quietly. Her look was desolate and lonely. Ah Chi could see her from the rearview mirror. He wanted to say something to comfort her but couldn’t quite find the words.
It was raining cats and dogs the night before, but today, the sky was clear with no clouds. The weather was nice for a change.
The cemetery was quiet and serene.
Yu Duo stood in front of Fu Sinian’s tombstone and placed in front of it, his favorite flower – lilies. She looked at Fu Sinian’s picture on the headstone quietly.
Ah Chi stood not too far behind her, looking at her quietly.
Now that Big Brother was gone, all the questionable characters were coming out of nowhere plotting to take advantage of sister-in-law’s kind nature and gain an upper hand. They even wanted a cut of the inheritance. Just why did they think they were entitled to that??
Ah Chi closed his eyes and said softly, “Big Brother, if you can hear me, please watch over sister-in-law from the other side.”
Standing next to Ah Chi, Fu Sinian snickered. Watch over her?
Fu Sinian couldn’t believe what he was seeing. All these years that Ah Chi had been his right-hand man and has always been a highly-competent individual. He couldn’t figure out why Ah Chi couldn’t see through Yu Duo.
Ah Chi was, after all, too young. He still wasn’t skilled and experienced enough.
Fu Sinian felt gravely disappointed!

The sun was getting higher and Yu Duo continued to stand in front of the grave quietly.
She didn’t need to turn around to know that Ah Chi was looking at her intently from behind her.
Even though she brought Ah Chi along intentionally to be her witness, she hadn’t expected the sun to be so strong. There were no trees around the graves for shade, and she was dying under the sun.
She should have checked the weather the night before; that was a mistake on her part.
Yu Due looked up, wiped some sweat away from her forehead, and sneaked a peek at her watch.
.... It had only been 10 minutes.
With the “love” between her and Fu Sinian, she needed to stand here for at least an hour... Oh, screw it, 30 minutes would just have to do.
She should have the foresight to lathered on more sunscreen. With the sun so strong, she’d become a few shades darker.
Yu Duo was worried about her skin issue so she paid close attention to the time. Time seemed to have slowed down to a crawl.
Keeping up this front was way too difficult!
She never wanted to come here again!
Finally, half an hour had gone by when she gathered up her emotions. She turned around, looking down and softly said, “Let’s go.”
“Sister-in-law, why don’t you go rest up in the car first. I will talk to Big Brother for a bit and join you shortly.”
Yu Duo nodded at him. Then, walking slowly and turning around frequently, she finally made it to the car. When she turned around and looked again, Ah Chi was already out of her sight. She quickly climbed inside the car.
The air conditioning was blasting in the car and Yu Duo cooled down right away. She sighed comfortably.
The day was so hot; why was she doing this to herself?
She needed to figure something out. She couldn’t keep coming back here every 3 to 5 days just for the sake of keeping up with the appearance!
That would be too much!
She pulled out her small makeup mirror and looked left and right in it. She frowned and was very worried, “I was out there for half an hour under the sun. My makeup is half gone, and my face is red. I wonder if I am going to tan?”
Back when Fu Sinian was around, she had to pay close attention to her body and appearance constantly. Surely, Fu Sinian was not around anymore. But, it was still important to maintain her attractiveness. If nothing else, she’d feel happier when she sees herself.
“I must go to a spa in the next few days and pamper myself.”
Fu Sinian sat in the passenger seat with his eyes closed. Don’t get mad, don’t get mad. He told himself. It’s better if he kept his eyes close and not see what was going on.
What an infuriating woman!
