When the woman heard Xiawen Dong’s words, she immediately paled. She was about to say something when a scream echoed, interrupting their conversation. "What— what is that?" the woman stammered.

He held his hand, preventing the next carriage that was following them from moving any further.

"Something is wrong." Xiawen Dong uttered as he surveyed the whole area. He sent his spiritual sense and still found nothing. "Someone followed us here." He gritted his teeth and called the purple-haired woman. "Remove your worms."
