Chapter 294 - That means I should support this family with him (2)

Once she recovered from her surprise, her expression changed. Since they were in public, she kept her voice low as she said, “How can you be so extravagant? This must have cost so much!”

Song Tingshen couldn’t help laughing. He stretched his hand out and pinched her face. He thought she was so cute right now.

“Only a once a year extravagance. You don’t have to worry about how much it costs as long as you like it.”

Ruan Xia didn’t know much about jewelry, but she knew that the ring must be very expensive. Leaving aside the issue of whether Song Tingshen was too extravagant, he really was thoughtful. During this period when he was as busy as a dog, he still had the mind to celebrate their wedding anniversary and buy such an expensive gift.

She carefully closed the box and put it in her bag.

Song Tingshen asked, “Why don’t you try it on?”

Ruan Xia lowered her voice even more. “There’s so many people here. We can’t reveal our wealth. It’ll be bad to attract thieves.”

She placed the bag on her lap for safety. She wished she could clutch the bag to her chest while eating. If Song Corporation went bankrupt, she would sell this ring to pay for Little Wang’s tuition when he went to elementary school. The tuition fees at international schools were so expensive these days. Selling the ring might not be enough.

Song Tingshen tried to stifle his laughter. He felt that this meal had become more enjoyable.

Putting down her worries, Ruan Xia enjoyed dinner with Song Tingshen. He had planned for them to go to the movies afterwards, but she knew that he was very busy. She didn’t know how he had been able to find the time out of his schedule to have this dinner.

After they returned home, Song Tingshen made a beeline to the study. Ruan Xia knew that she couldn’t help him much. All she could do was occasionally bring him tea, fruit, and a late night snack.

Song Tingshen very much enjoyed Ruan Xia bustling about for him. Even the heavy workload was no longer dreadful.

Ruan Xia had originally wanted to tell him that she had been going on interviews, but seeing how busy he was, she decided to wait until his busy period was over.

On the car ride to Little Wang’s kindergarten, Little Wang asked, “Mom, are you looking for a job again?”

This child was now very meticulous, and his observation skills were very strong.

Ruan Xia didn’t hide it from him. She nodded. “Yeah, Mom is going to an interview after dropping you off.”

Little Wang sighed. “Mom, why do you have to go out to find a job? My friends’ moms don’t work.”

Ruan Xia replied, “Mom has to raise you. There’s no money without a job. I won’t be able to raise you with money.”

When getting out of the car, Little Wang hugged Ruan Xia, “Can’t Dad raise us?”

Ruan Xia kissed him. “We can’t put all of the family’s burden on your dad. Dad needs space to breath too. Mom and Dad are married. That means I should support this family with him.”

“Alright then.” Little Wang vigorously nodded. “I’ll raise Mom and Dad when I grow up and can earn money.”

Ruan Xia tapped his forehead. “Give you a ‘like’. My son is so filial.”

Little Wang hugged her waist and looked up. “Then I hope Mom passes her interview with flying colors!”

“Hope what you say will come true~.”
