Chapter 16 – Song Tingshen: “...” (1)

Song Tingshen wasn’t wrong. If it wasn’t because of the unusual circumstance, Ruan Xia wouldn’t want to talk about bloody things in front of a young child.

The chubby kid’s next actions gave her a lot of face. He went forward and hugged Ruan Xia, then he turned his head and said to his dad, “I’m not scared. It’s mom that’s scared. Dad, we have to comfort mom and tell her dreams aren’t real.”

This young child, who wasn’t even four-years-old yet, was very loveable. Ruan Xia immediately decided that she would do her best to save this family. If it really wasn’t possible to save all three of them, she was okay with abandoning Song Tingshen in order to save herself and the chubby kid.

Song Tingshen:“......”

Ruan Xia finally looked at Song Tingshen. This would be her first time directly having a conversation with him. “I know that dreams aren’t real, but right now, we’re in City A. We’re unfamiliar with this place and the people here. Even though it’s silly to overreact because of a dream, I still feel that we should be extra cautious. There are a lot of things that can’t be explained by science. One of my previous classmate’s dad had a dream that his deceased friend led him down a path. A few days later, his dad had gotten into a car accident.”

Right now, she couldn’t be bothered to care if Song Tingshen’s impression of her would worsen because she said these ridiculous words. Saving their lives was more important.

Song Tingshen looked at her in askance. He obviously couldn’t believe in her words that were deviating way too far towards superstition. Since he didn’t believe her, he stayed silent.

Ruan Xia found it understandable that he didn’t show any reaction. If she was in his place and someone inexplicably told her such unlucky words, she would also feel that this person was just overthinking things. freewebnovel.c(o)m

Ruan Xia felt somewhat hopeless. She shouldn’t have brough Song Shuyan with her to City A.

Although the chubby kid had tried his best, he wasn’t able to help Ruan Xia. Thus, the dinner ended like this.

Song Tingshen had pretty much finished his work in City A. He had originally planned on flying back tomorrow morning, but since Ruan Xia and his son had just arrived here, he told Assistant Chen to change his ticket to a few days later.

Ruan Xia happened to hear their conversation. At the thought that Song Tingshen would stay in City for a few more days, she immediately declared, “We’re going back tomorrow.”

If it was possible, she wanted to take Song Tingshen and the child away from here right now.

Song Tingshen had been focused on his conversation with Assistant Chen. He was momentarily stunned to hear her demand, then he asked, “Why?”

Hadn’t she brought their son to City A for a vacation? What would be the point in coming here today and leaving tomorrow?

Ruan Xia moved closer to Song Tingshen and pointed at her delicate, white face. “I can’t get used to this place. Look, it hasn’t even been a day yet, and my pores have gotten bigger, and there’s a small rash on my face. Even one more day here is too long.”

Not just Song Tingshen, even Assistant Chen was speechless.freew ebnov el
