Chapter 111 – Your husband’s character really needs improvement (2)

Ruan Xia took a deep breath and looked at the bouquet of roses that he had stuffed into her arms.

She clenched her jaw and tossed the roses to the ground.

This is what she should do, right?

Looking at Duan Chi’s incredulous gaze, Ruan Xia mimicked Song Tingshen’s mannerism and coldly said, “Mr. Duan, with all due respect, I don’t have anything to do with you. We’re not even friends. Why would you go to my husband and try to show him up? What are you trying to do? Destroy my marriage? My family?”

Even the original owner would be annoyed by Duan Chi’s behavior.

On what grounds did he have the right to do something like that?

Ruan Xia didn’t give Duan Chi the chance to speak. She was truly very angry. “Who told you that I have a bad relationship with my husband? Even if the worst is true and I do have a bad relationship with my husband, that’s between me and him. It’s not the business of an outsider. Even my parents wouldn’t interfere and persuade me to divorce, and yet you ran to my husband and told him to divorce me? Who do you think you are? Mr. Duan, do you think you deserve credit for being forthright? You’re wrong. When you went to look for my husband, you were trying to destroy my family. You’re fundamentally morally wrong!”

Once those words were said, Duan Chi was silent for a while, a rare thing for him. He finally said, “I’m not...”

“You’re not what? Why did you go looking for my husband?”

“I...”

Ruan Xia sharply said, “Let me guess. Those words you just said to me, you probably said those same words to my husband yesterday. You told him that a couple should divorce when their relationship is bad. You must have also said to him that you would treat his son as your own. Whether or not my relationship with my husband is good, it has nothing to do with you. Am I familiar with you? No! We didn’t even add each other on WeChat! We’re only strangers that met each other a few times!”

Ruan Xia wasn’t the type of person that liked to argue with others. She believed that the less trouble the better. In school and at work, she had met irritating and unreasonable people, but if she could tolerate their behaviors, she would. If that wasn’t possible, she would simply avoid them. This was actually the first time she had ever erupted in anger.

“You think you’re being so forthright, but you’re just rushing to be the third person in an existing relationship. You said it yourself. I have a husband and a child. In the eyes of the law, I’m a married person. You went to my husband and said something like that. What were the results that you were hoping to get? That he thinks I cheated on him? Betrayed our family? You want us to argue about this matter. At best, we would jump straight into a discussion about divorce.”

Ruan Xia paused, but she couldn’t restrain herself and continued, “I’ll tell you today. It’s impossible for there to be anything between us. Even friendship is outside the realm of possibility!”

After saying this, Ruan Xia put on her sunglasses. Holding her purse, she stepped on the rose petals with her heels as she walked towards the elevator without looking at Duan Chi again.

This person truly had unwarranted self-confidence. He acted as if he was sure that if she and Song Tingshen got a divorce, she would be with him instead. And that nonsense about treating Little Wang as his own child... It was no wonder that even the original owner, who cared the most about a man’s money and power, wasn’t interested in this guy... Anyways, the original owner had sharp vision. At the very least, she never even considered having any sort of relationship with Duan Chi.
