Chapter 40: Disappearance

“Meow?” freewebno vel.co m

Kate was stunned when she saw that she had actually disappeared in a flash of lightning. There was no process whatsoever.

She was there at one moment.

And at the next second, she completely disappeared.

“Meow? Meow! Meow!”

Kate was angry.

Does it mean that she completely fused with this little cat’s body in just one second? That was illogical!

.....

Damn it!

But which part was logical from her experience for the past few days?

Kate was deflated.

At this time, Kyle was carefully petting Kate because he could see that the little cat was agitated. Was this video very astonishing for the cat?

“Sped it up until morning. ”

Dylan tapped a few times and the video was now faster. They could see that nothing changes aside from the moonlight location from time to time. And when it was morning, they could see that there was indeed only one person there.

Kyle.

“Can you check whether someone use their card in the door?” freewebno vel.co m

“No one.” Dylan clicked a few times and then answered.

Jake’s lips twitched. “A close room mystery?”

Kyle rolled his eyes and the videos continued until afternoon in which Kate woke up and screamed loudly because of her appearance. After that, they watched as Kate wandered around, killing the lizard, take the milk, compress Kyle’s forehead, and sleep again.

The three were silent.

Jake was staring at the screen and then at Kyle. “That’s definitely not what a normal cat will do when they are hungry.”

“Mutated.” Dylan frowned.

“I know that she definitely mutated or she will not be able to store everything Kyle’s warehouse. I have been there and that place is so freaking big that I don’t believe it’s possible to empty it in one day if not for seeing that space.” Jake complained.

“The mutation is somewhat friendly for humans, so it shouldn’t be bad.” Kyle saw that Kate had calmed down, but he didn’t stop petting her head.

Kate was looking at the screen.

And then sighed deeply.

Who would have thought that the camera in the campus was actually still active and recorded all of her ‘glorious’ action after she woke up?

Damn it!

She’s embarrassed.

But she’s also helpless.

In the end, Kate simply played dead and enjoyed the petting that Kyle gave to her. She didn’t know why, but it seemed that after being a cat, being petted was something that she enjoyed very much.

Still, Kate didn’t want to pamper herself too much.

She’s still human!

100%!

Kyle tapped the table. “Destroy the recording in the campus and keep a copy in your safe storage, Dylan. I don’t want anyone to see this.”

“Ok.”

Jake shook his head but said nothing.
