Chapter 62: Loose Ends (1)

All the surrounding students came and comforted Su Tian. Everyone felt that she had been too polite to that neurotic woman, not properly venting her anger.

Su Tian just smiled good-temperedly.

Although she deliberately provoked Lin Xiuping, she wasn’t actually that angry.

Regardless of how terrible Lin Xiuping was, in the end, it didn’t really affect her. If it wasn’t a system-arranged task, Su Tian probably wouldn’t have anything to do with Lin Xiuping in her entire lifetime.

Not to mention, Liu Kaiyan was just off to the side.

Su Tian wasn’t someone who liked fighting and arguing with others. If her tongue wasn’t itching to argue, then she preferred more violent means. One shot kill. Simple, clean, straightforward, satisfying.

She was the kind of person who could never be forced to do anything.

When Wang Haoxue looked at Su Tian’s gentle profile, she couldn’t help but wonder what sort of thing could actually make her angry.

What happened in the cafeteria this morning quickly came to the attention of the teachers. Since Liu Kaiyan was absent, the class representative brought Su Tian to their teacher’s office to talk.

Teacher Zhang: “In the future, just directly call for the security guards. Although we can’t control what happens outside the school, things that happen inside are still under our control.

Obviously, Teacher Zhang was referring to when Lin Xiuping slapped Liu Kaiyan outside the school gate.

Su Tian smiled, nodding: “Okay, Teacher, I got it.”

Teacher Zhang’s heart was satisfied. Su Tian was really the most excellent student she’d ever had, in all the years she’s been teaching. This sort of attitude was incomparable to that of ordinary people.

But, questions that shouldn’t be asked still must be asked.

“I heard that Liu Kaiyan’s mom came to find you because there were rumors that you and Liu Kaiyan are dating. Is this true?”

“We aren’t dating. Liu Kaiyan and I are just good friends, everyone has just misunderstood.”

To be honest, a lot of classmates had asked her in private if she was dating Liu Kaiyan. She had told them from the beginning that they were just friends, but unfortunately, no one believed her.

Teacher Zhang believed her though. Su Tian’s attitude was too direct, without any coyness or embarrassment. It simply wasn’t the appearance of a young girl in love.

“Since you two aren’t dating, then you and Liu Kaiyan should pay more attention, especially at school, to avoid suspicion.”

Su Tian lifted her head, doubt showing for the first time in her black and white eyes.

“Teacher, if I have to distance myself from my friends because of rumors, will I have to retreat and compromise more in the future because of rumors?”

Teacher Zhang felt suffocated in her heart. She wanted to say that it was for her own good.

Of course Su Tian knew that, but she didn’t agree with this approach.

She could compromise, but it would never be because of this sort of reason.

After Su Tian left the office, Teacher Zhang was quiet for a long time, before finally letting out a long sigh.

Once upon a time, she too had this sort of courage. But, without her knowing, it was slowly smothered by life. She hoped that Su Tian wouldn’t be like her.

When Su Tian left, she coincidentally found their class representative standing outside, holding a practice book.

When she saw Su Tian, she immediately whispered: “You and Liu Kaiyan are really not boyfriend-girlfriend?”

Su Tian said, helplessly: “We are just friends.”

The class representative murmured: “So guys and girls really can really just have pure friendship?”

Su Tian: “……”

After being speechless for a while, Su Tian suddenly had a worrisome thought. It didn’t really matter if other people misunderstood, but Liu Kaiyan must not misunderstand.

Su Tian didn’t know that in regards to their relationship, Liu Kaiyan never had other thoughts.

He forcibly brought Lin Xiuping out from his school. Lin Xiuping hit and cursed him the whole way, saying that he was insane, letting a little bitch come between him and his mother.

Regardless of how much she hit or cursed him, Liu Kaiyan didn’t say a single word and brought her directly to the hospital.

Once they got to the hospital, Lin Xiuping suddenly calmed down. She took out her phone to call her husband, Liu Zhaoyang, saying that she went to meet her son’s girlfriend but was beaten and scolded.

As she talked, she quietly cried, looking extremely pitiful.

When people around them heard this and saw Liu Kaiyan stand there silently with a cold face, they whispered, “unfilial,” “beast,” “forgetting your mother as soon as you have a wife,” and other similarly nasty things.

Liu Kaiyan listened to all of this silently, the corner of his mouth upturned.

Yeah, he really is unfilial. In fact, he was preparing to be even more unfilial.

Liu Zhaoyang hurried from his office to the hospital and, without saying a word, directly slapped Liu Kaiyan.

“Disgraceful son!”

The loud slap echoed throughout the hospital waiting room, followed by silence from the surroundings. Even those who were gossiping closed their mouths and became silent.

No one expected this boy’s father to slap him without a word.

Men were not stronger than women. With this slap, Liu Kaiyan’s mouth began to bleed.

Despite this, he didn’t react at all. He just indifferently watched his father try to comfort his mother.

Liu Zhaoyang hugged his wife before he turned back angrily: “Kneel!”

Liu Kaiyan stayed standing, unmoving.

Liu Zhaoyang: “I told you to kneel, didn’t you hear me?”
