"Do you guys know why Georges was targeted?" Aion asked.

"His mother's family are from the eastern side of the country… her older brother is a pretty famous soldier there that prevented many invasions and defeated hundreds of enemies," Henri replied. "He is basically a hero… most likely. His enemies were planning to use his nephew to get him."

That didn't surprise Aion… there were a lot of insane and stupid people… in all worlds, it seems. While that incident put Aion in a complicated position, at least his brothers seemed closer than before. For many years, he only saw them as rivals that they had to surpass. The fact that they assumed the mistakes they made in order to help their brothers were proof that they were good kids.

In any case, now that he had time, Aion decided to check the system. When he put all his coins on the inventory, Aion saw that he had a bit more than thirty thousand coins… after doing some math, he learned that one copper coin was equal to one coin. One silver coin was one hundred coins, and one gold coin was ten thousand coins… freew ebnov el

When Aion tried to use the coins by thinking about the option on the inventory, nothing happened, but then he realized that he could convert the coins into materials like copper, silver, or gold. He also could 'buy' parameters… each point cost ten silver coins, but after buying one, the price would increase. For example, after buying nine points into strength, the tenth one cost one hundred silver coins.

"It seemed like an expensive investment… but it isn't bad," Aion thought.

After doing some tests, Aion confirmed that using the raw materials of the coins to refine the weapons or using them as money was equally efficient, so he didn't have to focus on a single one.

In any case, after such an incident, Aion could no longer use the same method, so he had to think of something else. Using his coins as an investment to start a business was probably impossible now that the people knew who he was… so he truly was considering sneaking out of the house and heading to the dungeon.

While he was thinking about what to do, three days later, Aion saw the guild master and Vangel crossing the gates of his house. It looked like that guy participated in obtaining intel regarding the incident. When Henri asked about it, he answered exactly that. In the end, Henri's guess was correct… someone wanted to get to Georges' uncle… the guild master went to talk with the mothers about that.

"It seems the criminals were hired through the dark guild, so finding the orchestrator is impossible…" Vangel said. "My apologies for that. Still, the criminals were already executed."

Aion blinked about that… his half-brothers didn't even react to his words. That kind of punishment seemed normal in that world. Regardless, Aion had forgotten about that, but he burned to death two of the criminals as well, and until now, he didn't think about it.

"I wonder if all this militaristic atmosphere is getting me…" Aion thought. "I don't regret that, and I think that those who plan to harm children truly deserve to be punished, but this sudden change in mindset seems a bit…"

In the end, Aion decided not to dwell too much on that. Some of the guys that were planning to harm his brother were punished for it, and that was all. It seemed that Vangel used that to gain some points with Henri, but that wasn't his problem. He couldn't understand why Vangel tried so hard to be his friend when Henri only felt troubled by his presence.

"Anyway, I heard that Aion here prevented the whole thing almost by himself and burned two of the enemies to a crisp," Vangel said. "You sure are something. Few men can use magic even after they become adults, and not even girls that study from an early age can use Fireball so soon."

If that kingdom had a proper educational system, then perhaps kids would learn faster… that was what he wanted to say, but there was no point in bashing tradition. Besides, it was a good chance for mothers and children to work together toward a common goal.

"I was lucky," Aion said. "Good kids shouldn't do something so dangerous. Bad kids shouldn't try it either."

"Hmm… if you say so," Vangel said. "Anyway, my little sister is turning eleven soon, do you want to come to the party? Considering your fame recently, I bet you will be the center of attention."

"I will have to refuse. Aside from the few people that know me from my routine, even the adults look at me like they are looking for a reason to kick my face," Aion said. "I don't respect that kids around my age will be more understanding regarding that."

"Ah… Jagger, huh," Vangel said. "Well, don't blame him too much since he lost his wife and little sister in the war. He was also a good friend of your father, but since he accepted the task of being the guardian of your mother, they lost contact over time."

"Guardian is a fancy word for the job," Aion said.

"Some people might say that… well, you are the little brother of my best friend, and he respects you a bit, so if you stay with me, you will avoid such problems," Vangel said. "Won't that help you?"

"I will have to refuse that as well since I am stubborn enough even to try to use the money of my father," Aion said.

"... You truly are a refreshing kid… it is hard to find people who refuse my ideas," Vangel said. "Well, it is a pity, but it can't be helped."

His little sister was probably Henri's future fiancee… If his sisters wanted to avoid him that much, Aion truly didn't want to meet more high-class kids. Regardless, Aion returned to his training session while thinking about what he should do about the problem of money as well.

Since people knew that he could use magic, perhaps Aion could use it to make money… Even if his people don't like his lineage, they should buy his things if they prove to be incredible.
