Chapter 990 Gossips in the Tavern
Gong Muk asked Ji Yuan where he wanted to go in the Royal City of Nefarious.
Ji Yuan whispered, "Let's go to the tavern first. It is where we can easily pick up fresh news. Also, we can find our lodgings at the same time."
With that, they had entered a big tavern that was called the Double Stabbing Swords in the middle of a busy street.
Gong Muk easily found a table after he had dropped 10 blood crystals to the serving abyssals, "Get me a seat."
With that, Ji Yuan and Gong Muk had a corner seat in the tavern.
Barely had they sat down, many attractive Fells maidens began to walk seductively to Gong Muk as they hoped to attract his attention.
However Ji Yuan shook his head to give a hint to Gong Muk that he wished to be alone.
So Gong Muk grunt, "I don't need any maidens. I am here to eat only."
This caused the many attractive Fells maidens to look disappoint but they were soon patronizing the other tables since they could see that Gong Muk was not a high level abyssal anyway.

Ji Yuan took a look at the exotic foods that were on the other tables and said bitterly, "No thanks."

Ji Yuan saw that there were giant snails, oysters, carrion worms, giant louses, giant cockroaches and many exotic insects on the table and he was stunned.
Gong Muk on the other hand was already drooling from the exotic foods that were on the table and he wasted no time in picking a giant snail and to suck it out of its shell and into his mouth.
He did not forget that he was a servant of Ji Yuan and asked him soon after, "Empyrean Ji Yuan, do you want to try this? This is really delicious and it is also a popular food among the humans in the lower realms."
Ji Yuan bitterly said, "No, thanks. I don't eat insects."
Gong Muk protested immediately, "This isn't an insect but a slime."
Ji Yuan said weakly, "Anything that has a skeleton bone on the outside is an insect to me. It is the characteristics of an insect. I can't eat it as it is considered to be an unclean food for me."

The Fell maiden was delighted by the tip and she gave Gong Muk another wink before she walked off.
Gong Muk began to feast hungrily and he also drank a glass of blue liquid of an exotic shell fish.
Ji Yuan was totally speechless when he saw the wide variety of insects on the table; this was the most disgusting foods that he had ever seen and yet to the abyssals, these foods were the most desirable delicacies!
He was thinking luckily that Tang Manni and Little Jie'Er were not here.
Xiang Li and Anyang on the other hand were looking as disgusted as Ji Yuan.

Actually this brown abyssal also knows that none of the abyssals in the tavern had heard of his news yet and he was the first one to know. As a long time patron of this tavern, he was naturally eager to announce this news to all the abyssals in the tavern so that he could receive their acclaims.

Ji Yuan said weakly, "Well, this matter doesn't concern me. I am not interested in the politics of the abyssals. Also, this Cardinal Priestess must be an ugly abyssal and not to my taste."
Gong Muk looked shocked as he stared at Ji Yuan, "Please do not say that! The Cardinal Priestess is the most beautiful abyssal maiden in the entire Dark Abyssal Realm!"
