Chapter 1224 Ji Yuan's Great Principle

After the banquet had finally ended, Ji Yuan was drunk for almost a day.

When he had got up from his drunken slumber, he was feeling dizzy and he saw that he was now back in his room.

"What happened? I can't remember a thing?"

He had only remembered that he was drinking with everyone and he was laughing to all of them but he had forgotten what he had said.

But he did remember that some of his maidens had shot him an ugly look and commenting that he talked too much.

As he looked around his room, he was startled to see that Destiny was in his room.

"Destiny? Why are you… erm in my room? Where are the rest?"

Destiny smiled mysteriously at him, "I told them that I want to speak with you personally. As a true divinity, they have to give me this respect, right?"

Ji Yuan laughed weakly; no one wants to mess around with a true divinity.

"Erm, you want to say something to me?" He asked curiously.

Destiny then took out a scroll and opened it in front of him, "Do you still remember this scroll?"

Ji Yuan stared at the golden scroll that was in front of him, "I don't. What is it?"

Destiny hummed coldly, "You are really a heartless man!"

Ji Yuan smiled bitterly, "In what way am I a heartless man? I didn't do anything."

Destiny said with a heavy sigh, "Then why don't you open it and have a look instead?"

Ji Yuan curiously opened up the scroll and when he read the golden scroll, he was feeling dazed and was in a great shock.

He was gasping with great shock after he had read it. "This is a betrothal agreement between us?"

To be more exact, this was a betrothal agreement between the True Devil God and Destiny.

Ji Yuan smiled weakly to Destiny, "You know that I am not the original True Devil God but his reincarnation, right?"

Destiny said coolly to him, "Is there a difference?"

Ji Yuan laughed weakly, "Of course there is a difference. We have different experiences and I am me, he is him."

Destiny asked him with an unpleasant look, "So, you are planning to break our betrothal agreement then?"

Ji Yuan: …

He said weakly, "You know. How come this betrothal agreement is in the celestial language and I can even understand it. This isn't a fake, right?"

Destiny explained with a calm look, "I've translated it for you."

Ji Yuan: …

Do you think that I will believe you?

Destiny smiled as she took out another scroll, "I know that you may not believe me but take a look at this."

Ji Yuan curiously opened this scroll and took a look at it and he saw that this was another betrothal agreement but this time it was between him and Destiny. And it got his name Ji Yuan on it.

He looked weakly at Destiny, "I don't remember signing this, you know."

Destiny smiled, "You have signed this during the banquet. Are you so drunk that you cannot remember that I have decided to accept your proposal?"

Ji Yuan laughed weakly, "Do you know that I can easily check with the others. There should be plenty of witnesses, you know."

Destiny was also laughing softly as she winked at Ji Yuan, "You can ask your maidens."

When she was saying this, she was also thinking: Do you really think your maidens will dare to offend a true divinity like me? Even if I say that there are two suns in the day when there is only one, they will still agree with me.

Ji Yuan was startled, "Then this is true, after all?"

Destiny said as she waved her fingers, "You don't ever think of breaking your betrothal agreement with me. If you do, I will kill you immediately."

Ji Yuan had suddenly gulped and he was stammering, "You are serious?"

Destiny smiled wryly, "What do you think?"

Ji Yuan weakly said, "You know that I am… erm, weaker than you, right? So I may not win you but I am the grand protégé of the Great Beyond Goddess. Surely you are not thinking of offending the Great Beyond Goddess?"

Destiny smiled as she held up the two forgery scrolls in her hand, "If you have chosen to break your agreement and it is only fair that you die for breaking it. Or are you thinking of breaking it?"

Ji Yuan said with great righteousness, "Do you think I am a man that will yield so easily? If so, then you are greatly mistaken about me and you have looked down upon my martial honor."

Xiang Li whispered to Ji Yuan: But Big Brother, she is beautiful. You don't want to make her your maiden?

Anyang was also startled: I am so surprised…

Ji Yuan said to them: I am a man with great principles!

Destiny looked hurt as she looked woefully at Ji Yuan, "I can help you in the Ancient Battleground of the Fallen Gods. You really don't want my aid?"

Ji Yuan said nonchalantly, "With or without your help, I can overcome the upcoming calamity myself."

Destiny began to sigh woefully as she turned around and said melancholy, "Forget what I have said today. Farewell then…"

Ji Yuan had suddenly halted her, "Wait! Wait!"

Destiny turned around and asked, "Yes?

Ji Yuan began to look sheepish as he said weakly, "After thinking for a while, it isn't impossible between us. We can give it a try. Hahaha…"

Xiang Li: ???

Anyang asked: What happens to your great principles?

Ji Yuan frowned back: Have you ever considered the possibility that under the same circumstance, the maiden may be an ugly maiden?

Anyang weakly said: I get it now. She meets your standard of beauty and this is your so called great principle.

Ji Yuan pretended not to hear Anyang.

"Really?!" Destiny was suddenly all smiles and she was looking with affectionate eyes at Ji Yuan.

Ji Yuan nodded and grinned, "Of course. Although I am not the original True Devil God but I am still him. So I am willing to give us a try."

He was not blind to sense that Destiny was here for him.

He was actually trying to play hard for a while but he had not thought that Destiny would give up so readily.

Destiny was smiling with tenderly delight at Ji Yuan; her affectionate eyes were filled with warmth and tenderness. The gaze in her eyes had a sparkle that reflected her deep affection and this was a moment that she had always been dreaming of for thousands of years…
