Chapter 317 Christopher’s Fate Part 2

Chapter 317: Christopher's Fate Part 2

No matter how hard Christopher tried to remember, all he could sense was a long blank space in his memory. It is as if he had completely forgotten a piece of memory between the time he was sorting out the important documents and now when he finally regained his consciousness.

"Wesley!" Christopher instantly concluded. He wasn't a fool. Ever since he discovered Wesley's charm, he had been going around investigating all the latter's victims. According to them, they all share this common feeling of having an empty part of their memory where it feels like they undergo a time skip or something similar. What he is feeling right now is exactly the same.

"Did that asshole do something to me without my consent?!" Christopher felt enraged.

Christopher started stomping his foot, creating deep footprints on the dirt below, as he started moving north.

At this moment, Christopher still doesn't know where exactly he is. But he believes that going north would be the best action to take considering that the headquarters of the Assembly of Freedoms is located somewhere around that part. To be more exact, it was in the northwest of the Slumbering Forest.

"There's only two conclusions to my decision, either I reach the end of the Slumbering Forest where I can then continue navigating down south to reach the Freedom City, or I end up somewhere worse and I get lost in the process," Christopher was feeling extremely annoyed. "Whatever it is, I'll make sure Wesley will pay for this!"

Wesley who was secretly watching everything can't help slightly shivering in fear. Fortunately, Christopher would be dying soon, or else he'd be the one to die instead.

Christopher continued traveling north for hours and still, he didn't reach the end of the Slumbering Forest nor was there any sign that he was close to the end.

"Fuck! Did that guy put me somewhere so far away in the Slumbering Forest? What for though? Was it so that I wouldn't be able to join in the war?" Christopher can only assume that to be the case since he isn't dead yet. However, he is curious about some wounds that seem to be from a weapon of some sort, like a sword. But it wasn't fatal and it could also just be from encountering monsters along the way. And speaking about the war. "I wonder if the war has already started?" If that was really the case, Chief Kylo would definitely kill him.

"This is annoying!" Christopher screamed loudly. "I'll definitely make him pay once I return!"

All of a sudden, Christopher notices that he is nearing an open space.

"Finally!" Christopher celebrated.

However, Christopher's celebration didn't last long as he saw the Hush Village not that far away to his left.

"Is that?" Christopher was in disbelief.

At this moment, the Hush Village is being under siege by thousands or perhaps even ten thousand soldiers from the Green Horn City.

"I have to help them!" Christopher didn't waste any time as he headed straight towards the Hush Village.

It didn't take long for Christopher to get close to the wall of the Hush Village.

But contrary to what Christopher was expecting, dozens of the siege weapons stationed on top of the wall suddenly aimed toward his direction.

"The traitor is coming, fire!"

Whoosh!

"What the?!" Christopher quickly evaded. "Why are you attacking me?!"

"What a load of bullcrap you are spouting you traitor!"

"Get away from here traitor!"

"Scum of the Assembly of Freedom go and die!"

"Traitor?" Christopher can't help doubting what he is hearing. "Is this related to the blank space in my memory? What the heck did Wesley make me do when I was under his Gift?!"

Christopher's only conclusion is Wesley made him betray the Assembly of Freedom when he had fallen victim to his Undead Apple. As for why, he doesn't know. The only choice he has now is to look for Chief Kylo and explain to him what exactly happened so that he can clear his name.

"Since the Hush Village is here, all I have to do is go north," Christopher quickly decided to abandon the Hush Village and head to the Freedom City. Even though he wants to help, but with the way he is being treated right now, there's no way he can.

Christopher started heading north.

After traveling for a good thirty minutes, Christopher was suddenly forced to stop on his track.

"What the fuck!" Christopher can't help swearing loudly as he watches a sea of Undead Soldiers marching south.

"Isn't this Wesley's Undead army?" Christopher already knew about the defense mechanism that Chief Kylo had set up with the help of Wesley. "I see what's happening now. Wesley wanted to claim all credit for winning the war that's why he sent me far away. There's also the possibility that he sent everyone away as well. He's going to be dead for sure this time!"

"I guess he is no longer satisfied with his position and wants more privileges," Christopher can understand. But nevertheless, that doesn't mean he'll spare Wesley.

Completely ignoring the approaching Undead Army, Christopher runs to the side close to them. Just for safety purposes.

At first, everything was fine.

All Undead soldiers continued marching to the south.

But as time passes, Christopher eventually notices that the Undead soldiers are slowly getting close to him, and before he realizes it, he is already surrounded by them and their ranks are steadily thickening as if to prevent him from escaping.

The instant the Undead Army surrounded Christopher, those close to him instantly stopped and faced him.

The Undead's empty eyes socket and skull face, the unrecognizable faces, and the oozing slimy substance from their bodies were so creepy that although Christopher was confident that he could handle them, he still couldn't help slightly shivering in fear.

"Did Wesley notice my presence? Is he planning on stopping me again?" Christopher presumed as he readied his weapon in his hand.

As if Christopher's assumption was confirmed, the Undead soldiers near him lunged themselves before brandishing their weapons to attack him.
