293 A Plan In The Rainy Night

He Chen thought about how he had followed the rules when he was young, but he was still hot-blooded and it was hard to control himself when he was alone with the woman he loved. He shook his head in disagreement. “Miaomiao, no matter how good Jing Yan is, don’t trust men so easily. How about this? You can move back home from now on. I won’t stop you from dating Jing Yan. I just want to ensure your safety.”

He Miao did not know whether to laugh or cry when she saw He Chen treating Jing Yan as a dangerous person. Just as she was about to agree, she heard a crisp sound from the door. When she turned to look, he saw that Jing Yan was half-drenched and was changing into slippers at the entrance.

“It’s raining?” He Miao walked over anxiously and took a towel from the butler to dry the water droplets on his hair. “Why did you come here? Didn’t you bring an umbrella?”

“I’m in a hurry to see you.” Jing Yan bent down with a smile so that her raised arm would not ache. He waited until she was almost done before he took the towel from her hand and threw it aside. He held her small hand, which was cold from the cold air on his body, and walked to He Chen. “Hello, Uncle He. I’m here to take Miaomiao back.”

He Chen smiled and nodded. Seeing Jing Yan holding his precious daughter’s hand in front of him, he felt uncomfortable again. “Sit down and have a cup of hot tea. You have to warm yourself up after getting caught in the rain, or you’ll fall sick.”

“Yeah, sit down and have a cup of hot tea.” He Miao took a cup of hot tea from the housekeeper and handed it to him. When she saw him drink it obediently, she blinked and brought up the matter she had just discussed with her father. “Let’s stay here for today. It’s raining so heavily outside, and I want to move in with you.”

Jing Yan was slightly taken aback. He glanced at He Chen, who had a satisfied look on his face, and nodded without any objection. “This is what I should do. I’ll get someone to help you pack up up your things tomorrow. You can come move in after school.”

“Jing Yan is so thoughtful.” He Chen looked at Jing Yan with a satisfied smile.

In fact, he had already found out that in order to get closer to He Miao, Jing Yan had actually bought the unit above hers. It was easy to imagine how easy it would be for Jing Yan to get close to He Miao.

Now, when He Miao suggested moving back home, Jing Yan did not show any dissatisfaction. It was enough to show that this boy was truly thinking for He Miao, and not just thinking about how to be tender and sweet with her.

This was the responsibility that a real man should bear in a relationship. In He Chen’s heart, Jing Yan was still very much in line with his standards of a future son-in-law.

Therefore, he did not intend to drive Jing Yan away. Instead, he asked Jing Yan to stay for his daughter. “Jing Yan, you can sleep at uncle’s place tonight. I’ll get someone to prepare a clean guest room for you, and I’ll get someone to make you a bowl of ginger soup to get rid of the cold. If you need anything else, just tell the butler, and he’ll do it for you.”

“Thank you, Uncle He.” Jing Yan respectfully nodded his head in thanks. His attitude was cautious, and he did not have the slightest bit of the unruly arrogance he had when he was with He Feng.

He Chen was also very satisfied with his attitude. He raised his eyes and gestured for the butler to show Jing Yan the guest room.

The atmosphere in the house was peaceful and quiet. Outside the house, Yeh Luo’s gloomy eyes were fixed on the young girl’s figure reflected on the window. She allowed the heavy rain to drench her clothes, but her feet seemed to be filled with lead and she could not move a single step.

It was not until her body began to sway involuntarily and her mind gradually became drowsy that she slowly moved her steps and got into a car parked by the side of the road.

In the back seat, He Wei looked at the drenched girl with disgust. She rolled her eyes silently and threw a towel at her. “There’s no point in tormenting yourself here. My father knew the truth a long time ago. He Miao is He Chen’s biological daughter. As long as she’s here, you can forget about ever returning to the He family to be the heiress.”

Yeh Luo felt so aggrieved that she wanted to cry. As she wiped the water off her face with a towel, she stared at He Wei and mumbled, “What should I do? what should I do?”

Half of He Wei’s face was hidden in the shadows. Her sinister voice lowered the temperature of the cold night by a bit. “It’s simple. Just let her die.”

“What did you just say?” Yeh Luo stared at her in disbelief, completely frightened by her crazy thought. “You want to kill someone? But murder is illegal! Aren’t you afraid of going to jail?”

“Stupid.” Once again, He Wei rolled her eyes at her in disgust. “Of course we can’t do it ourselves. We still have to plan this properly. You can go back first today. You can’t do anything like this. I’ll go back and discuss it with my family before we make further plans.”

It was difficult for the two of them to do this, but that did not mean He Feng could not.

Ever since she had lost her position in the entertainment industry, He Wei had completely torn off her mask of kindness and gentleness. She swore that she would take back everything He Miao had stolen from her!

Including Jing Yan!
