282 The Well-Behaved Jing Yan

Jing Yan took off his coat and laid on the sofa obediently. A warm smile appeared on his face as he watched her carefully cover him with the blanket. “I’ll sleep first then. I’ll wake up to accompany you later.”

When the time was up, Jing Yan fell into a deep sleep.

He Miao quietly watched as he closed his eyes, then turned around and picked up Onion with a smile.

The little guy had eaten a lot of delicious meat at the Jing family house during the new year. His body that had been exhausted because of his illness and he had completely recovered. The newly grown fur was softer and smoother than before, and it felt heavy in her arms.

Jing Yan leaned his head on He Miao’s arm, his big, round eyes staring unblinkingly at himself, who was lying on the sofa with his eyes closed. He suddenly felt strange.

Ordinary people would not have such a novel experience at all, but the magical things still happened to him and Miaomiao.

Feeling the girl’s body heat through her clothes, Jing Yan comfortably arched his back a few more times, but before he could find a comfortable spot, he was carried to the bathroom by He Miao.

Ever since little Onion recovered from his injuries, he was suddenly afraid of taking a bath. He was probably scared of the blood that flowed all over his body when he was injured and was particularly afraid of water.

He Miao wanted to take advantage of the fact that the soul inside the shell was still Jing Yan to solve the problem of Onion’s refusal to shower.

He Miao placed the puppy in the bathtub that she had specially bought for it. She got up and turned on the shower to test the water temperature before moving the puppy under the water to take a shower.

It was not the first time Jing Yan had been bathed by He Miao, but He Miao did not shower with him this time, perhaps because he was there. Jing Yan was a little disappointed, but he also felt relieved at the same time.

He did not want to be in a cold shower for the whole night again. If he could, he would try to restrain himself and avoid any physical contact with her. Otherwise, he would be the one suffering in the end.

If Jing Yan’s soul was in Onion’s body, the little guy would stay still and allow her to rub its fur, apply the fragrant shower gel, and massage its soft body.

If it was not for the fact that he could not change his dog face, Jing Yan would have lowered his head no matter what to avoid her seeing his embarrassing red face.

He subconsciously curled up his body, not allowing her to touch his belly unscrupulously. His lowered eyes were filled with a bit of sadness.

If it was the real him, He Miao would not be willing to touch his stomach like that, would he?

His abdominal muscles felt far better than this soft dog’s belly!

Unfortunately, no matter how much he complained, He Miao did not have the time to pay attention to his expression. She quickly washed the shower gel off the puppy’s body, then quickly wrapped it up with a towel.

The little dog was not very good-looking now and could easily catch a cold after a bath. He Miao did not dare to waste any time. She skillfully picked up the hairdryer to dry its fur and gave it a kiss on the face. “Onion is so obedient. You don’t even kick up a fuss in the bath.”

Jing Yan was indeed very cold. Even though his body was dry, he still could not stop shivering. Being kissed by her like that, it was as if an electric current had passed through his body, and he shivered even more.

He Miao noticed him and worriedly picked him up, tucking him under the covers to warm him up. She then went back to the bathroom to pack his things.

By the time she returned, Onion had already stopped shaking. He peeked out from under the covers to look at He Miao, his pink tongue sticking out involuntarily to lick her palm.

He Miao’s palm was tickled by his touch, and she pretended to be angry as she pulled his hand back to stop him from licking it. She picked up the ruler beside him to measure his body length.

If it was Onion, it definitely would not obediently lie down with her. She wanted to measure it a few times before but failed. She only thought of it today. She could take advantage of Jing Yan’s transformation to do what Onion normally did not want to do.

The fur on the little guy’s body was too short and thin to keep out the cold. She had to get his measurements and buy him a set of warm clothes to wear.

As expected, Jing Yan obediently lay on the bed and let her do whatever she wanted. When she put away the ruler with satisfaction, he lazily opened his eyes and looked at her. “Woof.”

He wanted to bark at her to get her to sit down and rest for a while, so that she would not keep working for a stupid dog. Was she not so tired that she could not sit still when he came back? Why was she so energetic when he was taking care of this stupid dog?

He Miao, however, misunderstood his meaning. She thought Jing Yan was a little annoyed, so she took out a beef jerky from the drawer with a frown to placate him.

Jing Yan turned his head away and refused to eat. He propped up his body and walked over to He Miao’s pillow to lie down, his eyes fixed on her.

He Miao could not help but laugh. So he wanted her to lie down and rest with him?

After putting down the beef jerky, He Miao snuggled into the blanket. Just as she was about to hold Onion in her arms, the puppy in front of him suddenly became lively and active. It kept rubbing its freshly washed short fur on the blanket as if it was very uncomfortable.

Startled by its sudden playfulness and liveliness, He Miao instinctively looked up at Jing Yan on the sofa. As expected, she saw that Jing Yan had already sat up, his face still exuding a lingering gloominess.
