150 Lost And Regained

Jing Yan had a fever and had not taken his medicine yet. He endured the increasingly heavy dizziness in his mind and carefully searched every part of the road He Miao had walked in the morning, but he still found nothing.

“I’ll look for it here myself.” There was still a tear stain on He Miao’s face as she guiltily advised, “You haven’t recovered from your illness yet. Hurry and go home to recuperate.”

“If you don’t go back, how can I bear to leave by myself?” Jing Yan raised his hand and touched the tip of her nose, teasing, “Stop crying. You’re turning into a little kitten. I didn’t know you cared so much about my gift to you.”

When he thought of He Miao’s expression when she realized that she had lost her bracelet, Jing Yan could not help but feel a glimmer of hope.

He knelt down and patted Onion’s head. “Don’t they say that dogs have the best noses? Quickly smell it, where did your master’s bracelet fall?”

Onion looked at him in confusion and licked his palm.

Jing Yan gently stroked its fur, and as soon as he stood up, he felt the world spinning.

He Miao hurriedly supported his body and worriedly helped him to sit down by the flower bed.

Jing Yan was so disgusted that he refused to sit, and he was only willing to listen when he was forcefully pressed down by He Miao.

“This place is so dirty.” Jing Yan glared at her in dissatisfaction. “Is this how you treat your patients?”

“Why didn’t you think it was dirty when you picked flowers for me last night?” He Miao said casually. Her eyes began to search around habitually, hoping that the one-of-a-kind bracelet would suddenly appear in front of her.

“I’m picking flowers for you, why would I mind? Eait!” Jing Yan stood up abruptly and pulled He Miao’s hand to the flower bed at the hotel entrance. He rolled up his sleeves and touched the center of the flower bed. His eyes suddenly lit up.

When he retracted his hand, there was a bracelet covered in mud in his palm.

“I told you!” Jing Yan laughed in surprise. “I told you I’d get it back for you!”

How could he have forgotten that the bracelet on He Miao’s hand that was holding the flowers last night was gone? At that time, he had thought that her wrist was fair and beautiful, so he had taken a few greedy glances at it.

He Miao immediately picked up the bracelet, happily took out a tissue, and carefully wiped it.

Jing Yan looked at her in adoration and licked his dry lips. “I haven’t wiped my hands yet. Aren’t you going to help me wipe them?”

He Miao’s face reddened. She lowered her head and continued to pretend to wipe the bracelet. “Can’t you do it yourself?”

Jing Yan shamelessly waved over his right hand. “I want you to wipe it as thanks for finding the bracelet.”

“Rascal.” Even as He Miao cursed, she still took out a piece of tissue and wiped his fingers clean one by one. His long fingers would touch her soft and tender little hands from time to time, making her feel flustered.

He Miao quickly wiped his hands clean and threw the tissue into the trash can. She smiled from the bottom of her heart. “This time, we can go home together! Jing Yan, thank you!”

Although Jing Yan had insisted on giving her this bracelet, she had long regarded it as a treasure. She had kept it in her heart along with Jing Yan’s affection for her.

“Only a verbal thank you?” Jing Yan grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. His warm breath was all over her neck. His voice was deep and pleasant. “Were your tears for this bracelet or for me who gave it to you?”

“Don’t mess around.” He Miao moved a little, not used to it. She withdrew from his arms and did not answer his question.

Mu Xiao said that Jing Yan bought the bracelet because he saw the message sent by a friend’s sister. Now it seemed that the person who wanted the bracelet was Meng Xin.

Meng Xin said that she would marry whoever gave her the bracelet.

She did not know what Jing Yan was thinking when he bought this bracelet for her. Although she could not marry a man so easily, she could not hide her feelings either.

Jing Yan’s eyes fell on her soft hair and he asked lightly, “If I were to give you other gifts, would you also keep them like treasures?”

“I won’t accept such an expensive gift from you again.” He Miao answered without hesitation.

The light in Jing Yan’s eyes dimmed, and he shrugged with a bitter smile. “I knew you would say that, but I still won’t give up.”

He turned around and walked around her dejectedly to the parking lot.

He Miao turned her head and suddenly could not bear to see that expression on his face. That was the gift he had given her. After she had lost it and found it, the two of them should be happy.

She raised her hand and grabbed his wrist, sighing. “Jing Yan, I want to give you a gift in return. This is what I wanted to tell you.”

Hearing this, Jing Yan turned to look at her in surprise. “What is it?”

She curled her lips and smiled slyly. “Can I hide it for a little while? I was thinking of giving you another surprise.”

Jing Yan held her hand back, and the warmth of his palm was transmitted to her. “Okay, let’s go home first.”

In the Jing family house, Old Master Jing had just sent away a group of employees who had come to report to the family. He rubbed his eyebrows tiredly and asked, “When will Jing Yan and the others come back?”
