The two Young Masters of the Ling and Cao Families turned to look towards Cui Xie in anger and rage, mixed even with traces of killing intent, but in the end, they turned around and left.
"Brat, you went too far by offending the two of them tonight!"

They don't look like they are going to a party and banquet, but like they are going to fight!"

While Cui Xie seemed to be talking like a vengeful brat, the Elders couldn't help but feel like they had just experienced a bomb exploding in front of them.
"Oh, right! This brat would be so stupid and overbearing, as to ask the Elders to inform the family and tell them to look around.
After all, the other party seems to have made quite the preparations!"
The Elders immediately started looking towards each other, when finally one of them couldn't control himself anymore as he said,
"17th Elder what do you think we should do!?"
Even though Cui Xie's words did make sense, they would still make the decision by themselves. This was a good way to show respect towards the 17th Elder and get on his side.
Cui Xie didn't seem to care about what they did or thought, as he was fully concentrated on enjoying the food in front of him.
"Whoa~! The food is really good in here, you should truly try it!"
His previous serious words and his current situation made too big of a contrast as the 17th Elder couldn't help but chide on him,
"Brat how can you behave like this if what you said is true!?"
"Huh!? Why can't I!?"
"If the Cui Family falls, where will you go!?"
"Me!? I will probably just join the winner!"
"What!? Are you going to betray my Cui Family!?"

With that said, Cui Xie turned his full attention toward the food in front of him, eating like he was some sort of hungry ghost.
At the same time, Li Yao was enjoying the food on her side, but everyone could tell that she was a bit nervous.
Who could blame her though, she had just been told that her fiancé would suddenly change from Young Master Cui Xie to the Ling Family's Young Master.
Not only that, but since she was already 'soiled' by Young Master Cui Xie she would be made into nothing more than a little concubine of the Ling Family.
After learning all this it was impossible to not understand that Li Pimp had actually subserved towards the Ling and Cao families to put an end to the Cui Family.
Knowing all this, how could she not be nervous!? She had accepted and trusted Eric's word because he had some control over the Cui Family, now she felt like all her hope was destroyed.

On the other hand, the two Young Masters of the Ling and Cao Families weren't happy with the current situation.
After being mocked and offended by Cui Xie, all their good mood had disappeared at the moment, and it was only when they revealed their plan and parts that they could get their moods back.
It didn't take long though, as finally, the banquet started officially. People were chatting, making connections, and smiling politely, while Young Master Cui Xie was eating like a hungry wolf.

"Brother Li Saint we are truly honored by being invited to this banquet, but we were wondering about the presence of the Li Patriarch, as my Cui Family would like to propose marriage to the Li Family!
My Family's junior Cui Xie seems to have a liking to your junior Li Yao!"
"Master Cui the Patriarch has entered secluded cultivation trying to break through a new Realm, so he has left the Cui Family in my hands!
Your words have truly honored my humble Cui Family, but alas, the Ling Family proposed marriage first. I am afraid that I can't accept your proposal!"

It wasn't only the 17th Elder, but the whole banquet that was startled and shocked, as they all thought this was going to be the Cui Family's banquet.
The only people happy were the Li Pimp, the Ling Family guys, and the Cao Family guys. In fact, Young Master Ling even had an expression of contempt and mockery that seemed to say,
'I even stole your woman, what can you do!?'
As a matter of fact, there was one more person who was extremely happy about this situation, and that was Young Master Cui Xie.
If it weren't for him forcefully controlling himself, he would have already started to laugh out loud like a maniac.
