Chapter 636 – A Silent Good Night
"I thought I was being romantic enough by being truthful and honest, was I not? Do you want me to do it all over again?" Shi Qiao asked with a slight frown.
Meixu just laughed over it and said, "Forget it, I accept. I like your honesty, but don’t be too honest and forget how to be romantic."
Shi Qiao looked around their surrounding before leaning in to whisper, "Does it mean I can kiss you without seeking your permission."
"What the!"
Meixu’s reaction was expected since she didn’t know he was going to spew those words. She was shocked and almost whacked him in the face, but his fast reflexes saved him.
"I’m sorry." She apologized because she didn’t know when she moved her hand.
"That’s fine! Don’t mind my jokes, I will take your correction and be as romantic as I want to be." Shi Qiao said to her with a smile.
As their order arrived, thru chatted about their new relationship status, and how to break the news to their family.
"I have no problem with that. I can tell my family today, and they will be glad that as a grown man, I have decided to settle down." Shi Qiao said.
"Wait, hold on a bit. Is this called settling down? We just agreed to date each other, and not get married. Dating means, we are trying to see how compatible we are for marriage." Meixu said immediately as she tried to iron things out for him.
Shi Qiao nodded, "I know, I meant it the way you just out it. My family will be glad that I got myself a girlfriend after a while."
Meixu seemed more at ease now. After dinner, he drove her back home, and before she left his car, she said to him, "You are making me forget that I have a car."
Smiling, Shi Qiao said to her, "Better get used to it, because there are a lot of privileges you will be enjoying in this relationship."
"You are sounding cheesy now. Please don’t forget that no one else can know we are dating until we have told our family about our relationship first." Meixu reminded him calmly m
"And we do we get to tell our parents about our relationship and introduce each other?" Shi Qiao asked interestedly.
Meixu thought silently for a few seconds before replying, "Let’s give ourselves a week or two, to really get into this. You know this is all new to me, I haven’t dated anyone before, you are the first."
"What? Are you serious?" Shi Qiao asked in surprise, as he couldn’t believe that he was hearing. Knowing that Meixu was in the entertainment industry, he thought that she would have met a lot of people by now, but who knew that she would still be single.
"Why are you so surprised?" Meixu asked.
Shi Qiao shook his head and said almost immediately, "I feel that we didn’t talk about interesting and important matters as this while at the restaurant. Why don’t we go back and finish this up?"
Meixu chuckled softly with a hand over her mouth saying, "We just passed through these gates, and you want to take me back? You can’t be joking. I’m getting off now, we will finish our conversation some other time."
As Meixu finished speaking to him, she took off the seatbelt and opened the car door. She was about to get off when she felt a soft cool sensation on her cheek. This caught her unaware.
She slowly turned her gaze back to Shi Qiao and asked, "Was that your lips that just touched my cheeks right now?"
"Mmm... I was just wishing you a good night silently." Shi Qiao said with a big smile.
Meixu was speechless. She just said good night to him and go off his car immediately. She felt he relied brazen to kiss her on the lips when they were in her family’s compound.
There were cameras everywhere, was he not afraid that someone would see them, or they might get reported?
As Meixu walked away quickly, Shi Qiao smiled while watching her until she disappeared through the doors, before deciding to leave.
"You really spent a lot of time in that car, who was that?" FangSu asked with a cheeky smile as soon as Meixu stepped in.
Meixu on the other hand, almost had a heart attack, because she wasn’t expecting anyone to be standing behind her.
"Are you crazy, you almost scared the hell out of me?" Meixu asked with a hand placed on her chest as she settled down from the fright she had earlier.
FangSu shrugged, "I didn’t mean to scare you, but anyway, I’m sorry. So tell me, who was that?"
"Who was who?" Meixu said as she feigned ignorance while walking past her.
"Are you going to pretend to not know who I’m talking about right now? I was talking about the man that drop..."
FangSu didn’t get to finish her sentence, because the next moment, Meixu covered her mouth with her palms and pulled her all the way to her bedroom.
FangSu didn’t just let her pull her, but what could she do when Meixu had many advantages over her? She just let herself get dragged over after losing a fight.
Immediately they got to her room, Meixu let her go. "Were you trying to get me in trouble or what?" Meixu asked while facing her with a frown.
"What trouble could I possibly get you into? You were so brazen to let a man drop you off, so what were you scared of?" FangSu asked with a playful smile.
"You..." Meixu said while pointing at her. After finding the right words, she said to her, "So, do you have to make everyone hear you asking that ridiculous question out there when we could talk things out in private?"
FangSu’s smile turned even more meaningful as she gazed at her cousin. "You should have told me beforehand that you wanted us to talk in your bedroom, instead of covering my mouth and dragging me over. If you had nails on your fingers, you could have injured me you know."
"Won’t you have deserved it for being a blubber mouth?" Meixu asked whilst rolling her eyes.
