Chapter 561 - A Prank
Now, it was time for the adults to have their checkups done. Jia Li was the last person to be checked from the female side, while Fu Hua asked the doctor to check him first.
The male and female family members were separated as they were in different rooms with their doctors.
After checking Jia Li's heart rate, blood pressure and taking her pulse, the doctor said to her in a gentle tone, "Madam, your health is perfect but you still need to take care of yourself and the fetus."
"What!" The women in the Fu family chorused again.
Jia Li seemed at a loss after what the doctor had said. 'Am I pregnant again?' She thought to herself in horror.
"Doctor, what do you mean exactly?" Fu Hee who was about to jump for joy asked for clarification, as the others fixed an anticipated gaze on the doctor.
The doctor smiled and confirmed what she had just said. "Madam is really pregnant."
Fu Hee jumped up and went to hug Jia Li who had already let Jasmine slipped from her watch. Fu ChunHua, FangSu and Meixu were excited as they went to congratulate Jia Li who seemed to have different thoughts in her head.
Right at that moment, Fu Hua appeared at the door with a smile and watched the women crowding his wife.
Jasmine saw him and ran to him for a hug while shouting, "Daddy!" Immediately, all the attention was turned on him.
Fu Hee was so happy to announce the good news to her son, so she immediately told him what the doctor said and congratulated him.
Fu Hua who was holding the little girl in his arms glanced at Jia Li who didn't seem to be in a good mood. He smiled and said, "I know because I was the one that told the doctor to say it."
The women who have been rejoicing felt a wave of shock hit them. Fu Hee was the first to react and she did that angrily.
"What sort of prank is that?"
"A good one. I wanted to know what Jia Li's reaction would be to us welcoming another child soon and as you can see, she won't be happy about it." Fu Hua replied.
With a frown FangSu said, "Brother, this is not funny! I just finished jumping for joy only to learn that it was a prank."
Jia Li looked annoyed more than ever. She couldn't believe that Fu Hua would play a prank on her with this matter.
Fu Hua glanced at everyone in the room before saying, "Looks like all of you will be happy to have another child in the house but it's not left for me to decide, you will have to beg Jia Li to agree to it."
After saying that, Fu Hua winked at his furious wife, while Fu Hee and the others turned to glance at her.
Seeing the gazes on her, Jia Li screamed and threw a pillow at Fu Hua.
"Fu Hua!"
Fu Hua chuckled hard as he easily dodged the pillow with the little bun in his arms.
What did he mean by that? He was obviously telling everyone to beg her to have another child soon and she was not ready for it.
It looks like Fu Hua was looking forward to having another child with Jia Li.
The doctor who smiled at the side picked up her box and apologized to Jia Li.
"Madam, I'm sorry about his but your husband put me to this. I will take my leave now."
After the doctor left, Fu Hua winked at Jia Li again before leaving but who knew that Jia Li wouldn't let him be. She chased after him to hit him.
Fu Hua couldn't run that fast because Jasmine was in his arms, so he had to run into a room and lock the door quickly, so Jia Li wouldn't catch him.
"It looks like Jia Li doesn't want another child now." Fu ChunHua said with a sigh.
All of them were disappointed but they couldn't force Jia Li to have another child since she was not ready for it.
In the end, Jia Li went back to the room, annoyed.
"Daddy, why are we running away from Mummy?" Jasmine asked with a big smile.
She was breathing heavily while hugging her father's neck.
"Daddy made mummy angry and now mummy wants to hit Daddy, so we have to hide." Fu Hua replied as he kissed her cheeks happily.
"But you have to say sorry," Jasmine said with a smile. The little girl seems to remember that it was right to apologize when you are wrong and now, she was reminding her father of it.
Fu Hua smiled at his little princess's smartness. He kissed her cheeks again and said to her, "Alright, Daddy will go and apologize to Mummy, will you help me?"
The little girl nodded in approval.
Fu Hua needed to have the little girl by his side, so Jia Li wouldn't attack him physically.
Fu Hua took the little bun to the kitchen to make something sweet for Jia Li. And when Jasmine asked why he was making a drink, he replied, "Mummy will be happy when she eats something sweet."
The health of the Fu family members was okay. Grandfather Fu was asked to follow a strict diet plan to have a healthy heart.
He was already old and there were some kinds of food he shouldn't bother to eat anymore. Luckily, the old man had a healthy body and his bones were strong, thanks to his early days of military training.
Grandfather Fu was still walking perfectly at his age and didn't need any walking stick for support.
At the end of the year, the Fu family had a big celebration and celebrated Christmas at home. But before then, they traveled to the Maldives to spend the holidays and made it back to the country in time to celebrate Christmas.
Spending holidays with the family together in a fun place, was the best threat ever.
