Chapter 13 - Embarassed
Fu Hua wasn't comfortable eating in a local restaurant, so he stopped eating soon after Jia Li gave up on the food. Now, only YingPei was still eating.
"Miss Jia Li, since I met you, you've been putting on that jacket, are you not hot?." YingPei asked after he swallowed the food in his mouth.
This was summer, and it was very hot these days. The restaurant they came to had no air conditioning system. Even Fu Hua took off his suit jacket when he walked into the restaurant. Now, he was wondering why Jia Li still had her jacket on.
Jia Li looked embarrassed as she stole a glance at him. "I'm fine."
"How are you fine? You are already sweating. Even if you don't want to take off the jacket, at least unzip it, so you can cool off a bit." YingPei advised her.
He was indeed worried about her. How could she be wearing a jacket in this kind of hot weather?.
"Really, I'm fine." Jia Li insisted as she clutched the chest area of the jacket.
Because Fu Hua had his eyes on her, therefore he noticed something, so he looked away before telling YingPei off.

"Oh!.' YingPei said before going back to eating his food.
Jia Li felt relieved that YingPei wasn't pestering her anymore, so she let go of the jacket and looked up at Fu Hua gratefully, but he had his eyes elsewhere.
Fu Hua was currently reading the text that came from his girlfriend.
After reading her apology message, he replied to her text, which meant he had forgiven her.
Just as he put his phone down, YingPei concluded with eating.
"Miss Jia Li, you look so young, are you in college?." YingPei asked. He seemed to be making so many inquiries about her.
Jia Li nodded in response to confirm his thoughts.
"Wow! Which college? What's your major?." YingPei asked in an excited tone.
Jia Li replied to him, but her response shocked the two brothers. Her answer about her major shocked them because she didn't look like what she was majoring in.
"You are studying Fashion and Design?." YingPei asked in a shocked tone.
Jia Li felt his actions were hilarious. 'Why did he seem shocked to learn I'm studying Fashion and Design?.'
Jia Li nodded to confirm her words.
Of course, the Fu brothers would be shocked to learner a major because her style of dressing wasn't linked to her course of study.
Jia Li was putting on a big jacket and a pair of jeans that looked big on her. She folded the mouth of the jeans and was putting on a pair of white sneakers. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun.
Her looks and sense of dressing didn't make sense for somebody that was studying fashion and design. At least, she should look a bit like what she was studying even if she doesn't have the money to dress up.
"Wow! You don't look like at it." YingPei said as he gave her a scrutinizing gaze.
Jia Li felt embarrassed as he eyes looked her up and down.
Having gotten a little understanding of Jia Li's body language, Fu Hua could tell she was embarrassed.
"YingPei do you know it's inappropriate to look at a woman that way?." Fu Hua asked, calling his brother to order.
"Oh! I'm sorry Miss Jia." YingPei apologized to Jia Li who had her gaze downwards.
Jia Li nodded in understanding without looking up at him.
Seeing her act that way, a thought came to his mind, so he decided to tease her as a smile appeared on her face.
"Miss Jia Li, you easily get embarrassed. Do you have a boyfriend?." YingPei asked with his gaze on her.
"YingPei!." Fu Hua called out to him, feeling he had gone too far.
Why was he prying into someone's privacy?
Jia Li raised her head to look at him with her red face. "You...you..." She stuttered.
"I'm sorry." YingPei apologized to her with a smile on his face and his hands raised, but he did not look sorry at all.
"We are done here. YingPei, pay for the food and meet us outside." Fu Hua instructed before standing up and walking away.
Jia Li read meaning into his sentence and knew he was trying to save her from his rogue of a brother, so she hurried after him, totally ignoring YingPei who was calling after her.
She would really be an idiot to stay back to wait for him.
Outside the restaurant, Jia Li thanked Fu Hua for helping her out, but he replied with an indifferent gaze. "No need."
After settling the bills, YingPei walked out of the restaurant and unlocked the car doors with the car key in his hand.
On their way to the hospital, Jia Li was quiet as usual, why the two brothers talked about business.
Because the car was air-conditioned, Jia Li didn't feel hot again, and she was thankful. But when they got to the hospital, and the hot air hit her, she began to feel hurt again.
She felt the Air-conditioned car made her situation worse, which was true.
As they walked inside the hospital, YingPei stopped by the reception to ask a few questions, while Fu Hua and Jia Li stood by the side to wait for him.
While waiting, Fu Hua noticed that Jia Li was beginning to seat again, so he put his hand inside his pocket and took out a cotton navy blue patterned handkerchief before passing it to her.
Jia Li glanced at his hand before looking up at him in confusion.
Her confused look seemed to be asking, 'Why are you passing a handkerchief to me?.'
Fu Hua read the silent question on her face, so he replied, "Wipe your sweat."
"Thank you!. I will wash it and return it to you." Jia Li said as she accepted the handkerchief.
"No need." Fu Hua replied before looking away.
