Since the little mermaid was born, she could not see anything. She was ignorant of everything in the world. The only thing she knew was that her birth brought death to her mother. On the day she was born, her mother died in childbirth, and her father mourned for her for a long time.
The little mermaid had lived in this small room since she was sensible. Her father did not allow her to leave this room, not even half a step, nor did he allow any other merpeople to contact her. Only the mermaid, whom she called Elder Sister Qing, would bring her food and take care of her every day.
For the world outside this small room, the little mermaid was full of curiosity. Although she could not see, her perception was much more acute than that of other merpeople. She could draw any picture in her mind with the help of this perception.

For the little mermaid, her father and elder sister, the people she was most familiar with, were both dead already, and a force that scared her appeared in the palace, which almost made her faint in fear; after all, she was just a young mermaid.
"What’s your name?" Shen Yanxiao looked at the little mermaid and asked softly.
"Xi Yan..." The little mermaid whispered.
"Xi Yan?" Shen Yanxiao said with a smile.
Xi Yan pursed her lips.
"Xi Yan, the merpeople you are familiar with has left this world, but you have to be strong and continue to live. That terrible guy hasn’t left yet. Can you guarantee that you can hide yourself well during this period of time?" Shen Yanxiao looked at Xi Yan with some worry. The disaster in the hometown of the merfolk had already destroyed too many merpeople. Shen Yanxiao did not want this lonely little fellow to suffer as well.
"Elder sister, will he kill you? Will you stay here with me? I... I can hide my aura, just stay with me; I can help you hide together with me. I just...
