"Lady Yue, wha-"

"Aren't you ashamed? I've been waiting for over three years, haven't you heard you shouldn't keep a girl waiting?"

Dai Hee hearing this was taken aback. freewe bnovel .com

"But, I'm... I'm not…"

Dai Hee was about to say he wasn't the person she thought the was, but for some reason when he was face-to-face with this girl those words got stuck in his throat.

What Dai Hee instead blurted was.

"I-I'm sorry."

Lu Yue smiled when she heard that.

"It's okay, I'll continue waiting."

Lu Yue held Dai Hee's hand and placed something inside as she said that.

Dai Hee look down to see it was a storage ring.

"You won't be able to enter any of the Inns in the city with so many people searching for you, this might help you."

Dai Hee sent his Spiritual Sense inside to see that it was the silver and gold cape Lu Shin had been tricked to purchase.

Lu Shin upon seeing what Lu Yue had given Dai Hee was upset, but the cape didn't have any use to him so he just let it go this once.

"Thank you."

Dai Hee said as he looked back up at Lu Yue.

She was smiling at him, and this smile for some reason put Dai Hee's heart at peace.

However, Lu Yue's hand suddenly slipped from his own and she began to fall to the ground.

Dai Hee's heart dropped and his hands unhesitatingly reached out to catch her.

"Damn it!"

Lu Shin yelled and hurriedly rushed to his sister; taking her from Dai Hee's arms. Without hesitation, he then took out the Divine Firestone Dai Hee had given him and held it near Lu Yue.

But seeing Lu Yue's breath coming out in white fog while her lips frosted over, Lu Shin began to panic.

"I'll help."

Jun said as he rushed to Lu Yue's side; placing his palms that were glowing golden abdomen and forehead.

Lu Shin released a breath of air when he remembered Jun's ability. He was first shocked when Jun said he could help with Lu Yue's imbalance of Yin and Tang essence, but he was equally elated.

Dai Hee seeing Lu Yue's condition stood there and watched everything unfold before asking.

"W-What happened to her?"

Lu Shin hearing this turned and glared at him before saying.

"Shut up and just hand over more of those Divine Firestones!"

Dai Hee stiffly took out three high-grade Divine Firestones before Lu Shin grabbed them from his hands.

"I gave that cape to you to prevent this exact situation. Damn it Yue, I knew I should have forced you to stay home, that bastard isn't worth worsening your health seriously."

Dai Hee hearing this looked down at the storage ring in his hand.

Lu Shin who was looking at Lu Yue with a frown, suddenly heard Dai Hee saying.

"If it'll help, here."

Lu Shin turned to see Dai Hee with his hand out trying to hand him the storage ring with the cape inside.

Lu Shin didn't take it but instead looked away.

"Just keep it, she wanted you to have it. If I take it back from you wouldn't forgive me when she wakes up."

"Mas-ah… Brother Dai Hee, you don't have to fret she'll be fine as long as I'm here. You can leave without worry."

Dai Hee's hand with the ring inside tighten, and though Jun said he could leave and he was all too eager to leave himself, he felt too nervous and anxious just leaving after seeing Lu Yue fall unconscious.

He didn't know why he had these intense emotions towards someone he barely knew. He had to force himself to turn and fly away.

As he got further and further away from everyone, Dai Hee thought his anxiousness would fade but no, it was still there.

The scene of Lu Yue falling right in front of him was constantly replaying in his mind. Then suddenly, Dai Hee then felt an intense migraine bombard his head. He had to quickly land between two buildings from the pain before he began to clutch his head.

This migraine was unlike the ones he got before, if his head felt like it was being hit by a hammer then, now it felt like his head was being stabbed repeatedly.

Dai Hee wanted to send his Spiritual Sense into his storage ring to take out the Soul Nourishing pill, but at this point he could hardly think straight much less control his Spiritual Sense.

So Dai Hee had to lay there face down in the snow hoping this terrible migraine let up just a bit from him to get into his ring.

But even after an hour or two, the migraine was still going strong.

At the third hour mark though, something happened. Dai Hee's golden core suddenly released a bright white light.

This white light encapsulated his dantian before seeping out to cover his meridians and acupoints. It even reached his Sea of consciousness, completely covering his body's entire inner structure.

Dai Hee couldn't see this happening, but as the white light washed over his fragmented Soul, the migraine he was feeling died down.

Dai Hee didn't waste any time sending his Spiritual Sense into his storage ring and taking out the glowing blue Soul Nourishing. However, just as Dai Hee was about to pop the pill into his mouth, it suddenly fell out of his hand.

"AHHHHH!!!"

Dai Hee suddenly released a bloodcurdling scream as he clung to his head.

If it wasn't for the fact that his hands were holding his head, Dai Hee would have thought his head had exploded.

A pain far greater than the migraine wracking his head. It was like his Soul was tearing apart.

As Dai Hee fell onto his back, his hand left a bloody trail on his face as he dug his nail into his flesh. Scenes then... no, these were memories. Memories of people and strange places Dai Hee had never seen before started flashing in his mind.

At the end of each memory he would die a young child, before walking up as a baby. And each time the memory changed, the pain he was feeling from his soul would increase.

Dai Hee was now gasping for breath as the pain was too much.

After a few breaths of time, the last piece of memory floated into Dai Hee's mind. But this memory didn't end in his death, but a near-death experience.

Dai Hee took a deep breath through his nostrils as if he had just gone several hours without air. After he released that large breath, Dai Hee let go of his head and let his hands fall to his side in the snow.

Dai Hee then lay there in the snow between the two buildings; looking up at the bright moon overhead.

A few glimmering lights fell between the two buildings onto Dai Hee's face, making the tears running from his eyes sparkle a little.

With a hoarse voice, Dai Hee crooked out.

"I remember…"
