Chapter 96: The Battle in Gandoline

Time flew by, and hours passed. The group of Pento, Bislo, Bisal, and Mark would spawn every twenty-thirty minutes. The group had frustrated faces whenever they spawned, but they would directly enter the Panagea without waiting for even a moment.

The group left after their six hours duration in Panagea ended. Only a few minutes had passed after they left when the group of Pento's ten guards came to the store for their play.

Since they were the personal guards of Pento, and he didn't come here with them so they couldn't stay here for long without his presence.

As the group only had six hours of free time, they decided to enter the Panagea in the same manner as yesterday. They separated into the same group Pento had separated them into yesterday.

The group then paid 1250 inferior Primal stones to Aakesh for their entry into Panagea for three hours each. Aakesh nodded and took it.

The first group then entered Panagea, while the second group sat down in a meditative pose to prepare themselves for what's to come in Panagea after the first group exited the store.

Since Aakesh had nothing to do, he decided to watch what was going on in Gandoline. The next moment, a screen only he could see appeared in front of him, showing everything that was happening.

There was a sea of metal wolves attacking the Elven guards, while the guards that had just entered the town, looked like a drop in the sea of wolves.

"Cover the left!" One Elf shouted, seeing the number of the Elves on the left flank dwindling down.

Since the guards were closest to the left flank, they accepted the order and rushed toward it.

One of the wolves seeing its chance rushed at one of the guards and tried to rip the guard in half, but the guard was cautious, so he moved out of the way and kicked the wolf.

The kick didn't harm the wolf much, but it gave sufficient time to the guards to prepare a combined attack to kill it. One of the guards punched the wolf in its gut before it could stand up. Several strikes came at the same area simultaneously, resulting in a hole in the wolf's gut.

The guards then left the wolf lying there howling in pain as they had to reach the left flank to support the Elves. Since they were the guards of Pento, they were practiced in different kinds of combat, but they were specifically trained in weapons like spears or shafts to let the damage stay far from the prince. But in Panagea, they'd have to fight by their hands which were making the killing tough for them.

They reached the left flank and helped an Elf soldier to move away from the battlefield as the soldier had severe injuries. They then joined the Elves and fought against the wolves, giving the Elves enough time to breathe.

With the passing of time, the number of wolves fighting the guards increased, but since their techniques and coordination were getting better with every fight, they were able to somehow handle the pressure of the outrageous number of wolves.

Suddenly the air in the area turned cold for the group, as they saw a wolf half the size of average wolves in the horde emotionlessly staring at them. That stare sent chills down their spine. They've just blinked their eyes when the group noticed the strange wolf disappearing from there and reappearing in the same position the next moment.

But, this time, the wolf's mouth was filled with blood as it spat a human head the next moment. The group seeing the head turned to their right subconsciously and saw one of the members of the group standing there without his head. Their face lost all color seeing their headless friend when another one of the guards lost its head.

The wolf was attempting to make its move for the third time when suddenly a white flash passed and split it into two. Suddenly, the remaining guards heard a voice: "What are you so afraid of? Even if you die, you'll revive again."

The next moment, several white flashes passed in the horde of wolves, and tens of such wolves died by splitting in two. The remaining guards took a deep breath to calm themself down as they could never die. Only a few moments had passed when their other two group members spawned bak in Panagea.

The battle then continued as usual. They didn't see such strange wolves for their remaining three hours in Panagea.

After three hours ended, the system forced the group of five out of Panagea into the store, while the other group meditating in the store stood up for their entry.

Since they've already paid their fee, they entered their respective portals without waiting for a second as they could see the grim faces on the guard's faces.

While in the store, seeing the faces of the guards, Aakesh suggested to them, "You can buy mental healing pills to lessen your trauma of Panagea."

The guards nodded and asked for a pill each for five of them. Aakesh nodded, stood up from his chair, went to the counter, and took the pill out.

"125 inferior Primal stones!" He told them the price as he handed the pills to the guards.

The guards nodded and handed him the required amount by separating the cost of each guard. They then put the pill in their mouth.

The pill melted into a liquid right away in their mouth. The tension on the guard's faces relaxed as the pill started working. The guards then asked for another pill as they felt the need for one more pill.

Aakesh nodded and handed them the pill. Blissful smiles erupted on the guard's faces as their traumas disappeared.

"If we ate this pill and then went to battle, it would've helped us more," One of the guards commented, seeing the effect of the pill.

Time flew by, and the remaining three hours passed. The second group spawned twice during their stay of three hours as the number of strange wolves increased in the battle.

After the first group told them about the effect of the mental healing pill, the second group decided to use it and then enter into Panagea. As expected by the first group, the second group's fighting got better several folds due to their clear mind.

The group of guards left after their free time ended. For the next two hours, Aakesh didn't get any new customers.

His empty store finally had a new customer when Maria arrived in his store with four people following her.

"Hello, senior!" She greeted Aakesh with a slight bow right after entering the store. Aakesh nodded in response to her bow.

"Senior, these are the people working in the construction in my store. I wanted to reward them for their hard work, so I brought them here to enjoy Panagea," Maria smilingly responded.

She then took out the required inferior Primal stones and smilingly said, "Senior, six hours for each of us!"

"You can only have an entry for one hour since there is only one hour left in the closing time," Aakesh expressionlessly responded as he stopped her from pushing the Primal stones toward him.

A disappointing expression appeared on Maria's face when she heard Aakesh. While the construction workers behind her had an awed expression on their faces when they saw the mountain of the Primal stones, Maria had taken out to pay. It was enough for them to spend their lives comfortably for years without working.

Then with a disappointed sigh, Maria paid Aakesh the amount required for an hour since she had no other option following what Aakesh said.

Aakesh nodded and took the Primal stones. The group of five then entered the portal, whereas Aakesh thought of the quest screen after the group entered Panagea.

[Mission Objective: Have twenty players enter the virtual portal,

Requirement: Since the first player has already joined the world of Panagea, it's time for you to make other players enter the world. Twenty players would be the start for countless players coming in the store to use the virtual portal,

Number of customers left: 03/20,

Days required: 5 days,

Mission reward: Ten more virtual portals,

Failure punishment: Decrease in the number of virtual portals by one.]

"Three new customers in four days!" Aakesh murmured after seeing the quest screen as the day had already come to an end.

He was thinking of ways to end the quest since he already had enough customers to keep him busy for 15 hours in Panagea when a new customer arrived in the store.

It was Mark's wife that arrived in the store. She glared at Aakesh right after entering the store, as she still remembered the way Aakesh pushed her out of the store yesterday.

"One hour in Panagea!" She said while taking out 75 inferior Primal stones when she suddenly stopped as Aakesh stopped her.

"The portal room is already full, so you can't enter Panagea," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.

"Damn it!" The lady cursed in anger and left the store as there was no point in continuing to stay.

She decided to come here early the morning the next day even if she had to take a leave from her work.

Time flew by, and the group of Maria and the construction workers left the store with frustrated faces as an hour wasn't enough for them.

While after the group left, Aakesh closed the store and appeared in the selection ground.
