Chapter 735: Assistant!!!

[Host, the system has no criteria for the new assistant! You can decide that on your own since you would be the employer. You would have to pay their earnings from your pocket!]

Aakesh couldn’t help but get surprised, hearing that he would have to pay the assistant from his own pocket. But after thinking for a moment, Aakesh accepted it since the assistant would reduce his already less work in the store. At the same time, the system was also giving some benefits to the assistant, which could be said to be more than enough for the majority of the people.

“Do I decide the criteria for your assistant?” Lily, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke out in her childlike voice.

Aakesh couldn’t help but smile and told Lily to go ahead.

As soon as Aakesh heard the first criteria Lily had, Aakesh couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

The first requirement Lily wanted was not to hire a female assistant since Lily didn’t like any female getting closer to Aakesh. If the other party had an interest in Aakesh, Lily didn’t like it. But if the other party didn’t have an interest in Aakesh, Lily hated it since how could someone not have an interest in Aakesh, according to her?

Aakesh already knew what went through Lily’s head, so he refused her first suggestion straight away. How to recruit the assistant was already there in his mind, and Aakesh didn’t want to be unfair and restrict it to one gender. As for who won in the end, it would be up to the capabilities of the customers of the store.

Aakesh was going to choose his assistant from the store. Especially those who had been regular in his store for at least one year. It was also the first requirement Aakesh was going to place over his future assistant.

He would have some more requirements, but that would be for the future. The store’s annual event was only a few days away, so on the last day, Aakesh would choose his assistant.

***

It had taken Aakesh around three hours to complete the quest, so there were still around six hours left before the sun rose on the Anga continent.

Lily had already spent around four hours outside. It was equivalent to eleven hours in Panagea, so Lily wanted to return to Panagea.

Unfortunately for Lily, Aakesh didn’t let her go since her training was still left.

Lily could only push back the frustration inside her heart as she both appeared in the selection area the next moment.

Lily repeated the process she had been doing for tens of thousands of years, and soon, a space crack emerged in the selection area and sucked her inside.

Aakesh only smiled, seeing the frustrated expression on Lily’s face. The training was the one thing where Aakesh wouldn’t go soft on Lily.

Aakesh then randomly picked his weapon for the day and repeated the process he had been doing for the past few months.

The next moment, Aakesh found himself in a familiar environment.

Aakesh then looked at the weapon in his hands, only to find the weapon he had used earlier.

Since the weapon had repeated itself, it implied that Aakesh had battled with different opponents with all the weapons in his arsenal one time.

The weapon in Aakesh’s hands was the sword, the only weapon with which Aakesh had won the sixteenth round of battle.

The next moment, the familiar blue screen popped out in front of him with the usual options.

As usual, Aakesh chose to start the first round. Not long after, Aakesh sensed a killing intent aiming at him.

Aakesh turned around, and the full view of Aakesh’s opponent for the day presented itself.

The being Aakesh was going to fight belonged to a race predominantly living in the Sacred dimension.

The creature belonged to the race Divine Ligator, a member of the beast group.

The Divine Ligator had six pairs of feet, matching the three pairs of eyes. The creature walked on all its claw-like twelve feet. It silently looked at Aakesh and released killing intent.

The Divine Ligators loved to battle and kill. As soon as the bell rang and announced the start of the first round, it made its move.

Unfortunately, its battle instinct didn’t help it as only halfway, and it lost consciousness.

If the Divine Ligator were still alive, it would have seen two vertical pieces of its large body lying in a pool of blood while its opponent not even looking at it.

Time doesn’t slow for anyone, so in only the blink of an eye, several minutes had passed.

“Clang!”

“Clang!”

“Clang!”

The sound of successive metallic clashes rang in the area as Aakesh’s sword and the Ligator’s claws clashed with each other.

The sound didn’t persist for a while since the Ligator was only able to handle three clashes at most with Aakesh’s sword with each foot. After around forty clashes, seven claws-like feet were lying on the ground, while the Divine Ligator was angrily rushing at Aakesh to charge one last time.

Aakesh had a calm face as he vertically slashed his sword.

The next moment, a wave of white light flew at the charging Divine Ligator with an unimaginable speed.

The Divine Ligator could feel its death approaching, but it had lost its sanity in pain from the numerous injuries spread across its body, so it angrily roared and further increased its speed.

The efforts by the Divine Ligator were for naught, as when the white light flew past the Ligator, it had lost its consciousness. A similar scene repeated itself as two pieces of Divine Ligator lay on both sides while the stage was still shaking from the crash.

The next moment, a green light engulfed Aakesh and healed whatever injury he had.

With the Ligator’s death, Aakesh won the fifteenth battle for the day.

Time flew by.

The sixteenth round of battle finally began as the familiar sound of the bell rang in the area.

Aakesh had earlier won the sixteenth battle when he had the sword, and he had failed to replicate the win after that, so Aakesh grew serious right from the start.
