Chapter 552: Journey to the End(8)

The Miniman was a race that originated from thunder, and even the punch derived from thunder Aakesh didn’t have to think about the reason behind them appearing here.

The Miniman wanted to ask Aakesh why did he know about its attack’s secret, but before it could do so, Aakesh’s finger came across his body.

Aakesh took a look at the Miniman and crushed it to its death. Even though it couldn’t harm someone like Aakesh, who knew about the reality of its punch, he still killed it as Minimans were famous for their playful nature filled with cruelty toward those who were weaker than them.

Aakesh didn’t care about the life and death of others if it had nothing to do with his store or Lily, but it didn’t mean he would leave alive a creature who could playfully massacre countless people if it got free from this world. The other reason behind Aakesh’s action was that he didn’t know whether he would pass the step without killing the Miniman or not, so considering those two things, Aakesh decided to end it at once.

As if even the creator of the world hadn’t expected Aakesh to kill the Miniman with ease and not have a challenging battle, Aakesh found no trouble for the next three km.

Time flew by.

Aakesh continued on his journey to the ninety-ninth step without taking a rest of even a moment.

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

The sounds of explosions continuously rang in the area as Aakesh clashed with the Thunder Golem.

The Thunder Golem had the same appearance and stature as Aakesh, and its physical strength even exceeded that of Aakesh.

Every clash of their punch resulted in the appearance of an explosion like sound.

Since Aakesh had started enjoying physical battle after appearing inside the portal, Aakesh competed with the Thunder Golem with nothing but raw power even when the Thunder Golem was the powerful one.

The element of the thunder was known for its destructive power, so whenever the Thunder Golem would clash with Aakesh, even the air around the punch would disintegrate.

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

Continuos sounds of explosions continued ringing in the area, and with it, time flew by.

“BOOM!!!”

An explosion louder than anything Aakesh had ever heard rang in the area as the Thunder Golem self-destructed since it was not able to harm Aakesh.

Aakesh wanted to enjoy the contest of the raw power, but the Thunder Golem was different. It wasn’t there for enjoying but to exterminate Aakesh. Unfortunately for it, no matter what it tried, Aakesh seemed to overpower it, so in the end, it chose self-destruction in the hope of ending it once and for all.

The Thunder Golem still failed in the end as Aakesh had Counter Shield at a high level. If not for Aakesh reaching the stage where he could create more than an eighteen-layered shield, a severe burnt injury would have been the best situation for Aakesh after the self-destruction.

Aakesh could only shake his head disappointedly as he liked the flow of the battle with the Thunder Golem. Since Aakesh had suppressed it entirely when it came to skill, the golem used its full power in physical strength, which even created a slight pressure on Aakesh.

But since the Thunder Golem self-destructed, Aakesh stopped thinking about it and continued on his journey.

Time flew by.

Even taking a step took Aakesh several seconds as a thunderstorm razed everything and forced Aakesh to focus on defending rather than moving forward.

If a thunderstorm with such intensity were to arrive on the Primal dimension, it would have razed half the dimension to nothing in less than a split second; such was its strength.

Aakesh had to activate the twenty-four layered Counter Shield to defend himself, or even he would have gotten severe injuries.

The Counter Shield was running at its full, but still, it wasn’t enough as Aakesh was racing with time here.

The shield wouldn’t stay for even a millionth of a second and would crack down completely, and then Aakesh would reactivate it to sop any harm coming his way.

[Host, do you want the system to act?]

Even the system couldn’t maintain its silence, seeing the verge at which the thunderstorm was pushing Aakesh.

The system would automatically act if Aakesh were in life-threatening danger. But since the threat was only on the verge of turning into a life-threatening one, and Aakesh had explicitly told the system only to act when Aakesh had no chance of survival on his own, the system asked him first.

“No, I am fine,” Aakesh expressionlessly told the system as the number of injuries on his body increased with each passing moment since the recovery rate wasn’t able to catch up to the destruction rate of the thunderstorm.

Aakesh refused the system to act as he was only a few meters away from stepping out of the thunder area, and the thunderstorm was still manageable.

At the same time, Aakesh could see the growth in the Counter Shield with his naked eyes.

As it disintegrated and reformed continuously, a silhouette of another layer slowly started emerging.

Even though there would only be a growth of a single layer in the Counter Shield after staying on the verge of it turning into a life-threatening situation, Aakesh still appreciated it.

One layer of addition into the Counter Shield meant that its strength had doubled.

Time flew by.

When Aakesh was only around one-and-half meters away from the thunder section’s edge, the twenty-fifth layer finally appeared.

As if the appearance of the twenty-fifth layer was like pouring oil into an already burning building, the thunderstorm turned even crazier.

Unfortunately for the thunderstorm, it was too late. The twenty-five-layered Counter Shield stood straight and remained unaffected despite the thunderstorm going crazier, just like a dam stands against a raging lake.

The numerous injuries Aakesh had received after the appearance of the twenty-fifth layer also disappeared as not even a sliver of thunder broke past the Counter Shield.

Aakesh expressionlessly took another step forward and reached the edge of the thunder section.

The thunderstorm, going crazier with each passing moment, suddenly disappeared as if it was nothing but Aakesh’s illusion all along.

Aakesh looked straight at the next area and took a step forward, entering the most dangerous section of the four the next moment.
