Chapter 510: The Countdown(6)

“You’re underestimating him,” A wry smile spread across Katrina’s face as she replied.

“His growth rate has been getting even more monstrous,” She added when she remembered that it had only been around a month since she had raised her strength by four levels, and Aakesh was already able to survive her two strikes.

Katrina remembered that when she had raised her strength by three levels, it had taken Aakesh three months to survive only her first strike. It showed his growth rate was increasing with every battle instead of subsiding.

If Katrina’s power were to be defined by one unit when she raised her strength by three levels, now that she had increased it by four levels, her power would get defined by ten numerical points. Still, Aakeh succeeded in reaching the stage where he could survive two moves in only more than a month.

“It’s also this. Aakesh just defeated me for the sixth consecutive time today,” Autumn nodded and commented.

“What do you think how much time it would take him to cross the world by ruler if he were to leave today?” Autumn asked after staying silent for some time.

“I don’t know. As far as I think, the world doesn’t use the strength of the person into consideration. It all depends on the talent of the person,” Katrina answered after pondering for a few seconds.

Katrina had no idea what was inside the world since the ruler didn’t inform anyone about this, not even the council members.

Her conjecture of the world testing talent was based on the point that beings even more mighty than Aakesh had entered the world, but yet none have succeeded in exiting the world and reaching the ruler’s place.

Time flew by, and the day had come to an end.

Since there was only darkness eminent in the conspiracy continent, there was no way of knowing the day and night. But since Aakesh had the system with him, it would always inform him about the end of the day whenever 24 hours passed, the similar duration of the day in Visteerna.

Aakesh stood up from his chair and stretched himself since it was time for his training.

“Let’s go,” Aakesh looked at Autumn, who was busy chatting something with Katrina, and told her.

“Is it the time?” Autumn complainingly muttered. She had been losing to Aakesh for the last six consecutive days, and unless a miracle happened, today would be the seventh day. No one liked losing.

For Autumn to raise her strength to another level, Aakesh needed to defeat her for eleven days straight. Since he was still five consecutive wins away from the goal, Autumn would fight with her strength raised by four levels.

Katrina didn’t say anything but only smiled since she was aware of her turn, which would come next. She would sometimes think, what if she had decided to kill Aakesh and not think of leaving the world?

Katrina believed her life would have been easier that way, but now that she had chosen to put her bets on Aakesh and make a deal with him, she decided to go ahead with it, and it wasn’t like she was at a loss. She was also learning different kinds of combat styles from Aakesh. If she successfully got outside, nothing would be lost, and instead, it would be a tremendous gain for her.

The next moment, both Aakesh and Autumn disappeared from their chairs and appeared in the center of the battle arena. They stood at a distance of a few meters from each other.

Autumn was around the same size as Aakesh since it proved to be optimal for both figures.

“Clang!”

“Clang!”

“Clang!”

The next moment, the sound of metallic clashes rang in the area as Aakesh and Autumn clashed with each other. No one came out as the superior in this round of clash since Aakesh wasn’t using much strength, and similar was the case for Autumn.

“Thud!”

Aakesh finally came out as superior in the clash as Aakesh’s punch successfully hit the face of Autumn, throwing her backward.

Aakesh disappeared from where he was standing and appeared right next to Autumn. Before she could stand up, Aakesh kicked her stomach, resulting in her throwing a bucket of blood.

“Crack!”

Aakesh didn’t stop but chased Autumn, who still hadn’t stood up, and kicked her in the same place again. The next moment, a cracking sound rang in the area as Autumn’s bone cracked with Aakesh’s second kick.

“Ugh!”

Autumn groaned in pain as she spat blood out of her mouth. The next moment, her injuries healed, but Aakesh was already there. She rolled down and threw herself at Aakesh to crush him, but Aakesh seemed unfazed by Autumn’s change in tactics as Aakesh grabbed hold of the large ball Autumn had become.

“Thud!”

“Ugh!”

The next moment, a crashing sound rang as Aakesh picked up the ball and bombarded it to the ground, resulting in Autumn groaning again in pain.

Aakesh didn’t let go of the fluffy white ball in his hands as he picked it up again and threw it at the ground.

“Splash!”

This time no crashing sound rang as before the ball could hit the ground, a pool of clear blue water appeared on the landing area, and the next moment, a splashing sound rang in the area.

Autumn became the first to lose in hand-to-hand combat as she used her skill. Aakesh’s face turned expressionless since the real battle had now begun.

Unlike Katrina, who was better at both hand-to-hand combat and skill used, Autumn was better at the usage of her skills.

Right after the splashing sound, several fire pillars appeared around Aakesh as they attacked him.

Aakesh seemed unfazed by the attack as a transparent barrier engulfed him. The next moment, an even more potent fire got released by the shield around Aakesh toward Autumn, resulting in the pool of water evaporating.

Autumn had already left the water as she appeared in the sky. The next moment, wind blades appeared around the fire pillars attacking Aakesh, resulting in the blades turning into a raging fire.

The transparent shield around Aakesh still seemed unaffected by the raging fire blades.

Aakesh was using the skill, Counter Shield, but it was a seven-layered shield, and it wasn’t even his limit. It was the fruit of his effort over all these years of continuous battle.
