Chapter 37

I promise not to harm him or the store if you return," Ben said, despite thinking of doing the opposite when he got hold of Maria.

Maria had no choice but to believe in his promise. She turned around and looked at Aakesh for the last time but was disappointed when she saw no expression for her in his eyes. Only confusion spread across his face. She then turned around and started moving toward Ben.

"Haha, good," Ben laughed as he grabbed her hands when she reached him.

"Go, and kill him," he then ordered the four experts he called. The experts nodded and rushed toward Aakesh with killing intent in their eyes. They didn't even take out their weapon as it'll be insulting for them to use it on a lower-level being.

A horrified look appeared on Maria's face as she tremblingly said, "You promised me."

A cruel grin spread across his face as he commented, "You overestimate yourself.". Do you think a girl who I've already fucked had any value in my eyes? I accepted your proposal because I wanted you to satisfy them," while pointing at the group of people behind him.

"Grab her, and don't let her leave," He then threw Maria into the group of people. Many in the group had their eyes red with lust when they saw her features.

Suddenly pressure arrived on the group, preventing them from catching Maria. Maria also stopped in her tracks; the only one who was unaffected was Ben. He shockingly looked at the scene of Maria straightening herself after getting out of balance in the air.

"Pchh!"

"Pchh!"

Suddenly, sounds of bodies bursting in blood echoed in the air. In no time, the whole group Ben brought burst, resulting in a pool of blood and burst body parts in the store, making the scene gory. Maria and Ben couldn't help but vomit seeing such a scene.

After calming down, Ben turned around to look at the experts fighting the store owner, but what he saw chilled his bones.

He witnessed the last of the group of experts getting ripped into five pieces by the claws of a tiny white cat, the size of his palm. His face lost all the colors as he was the last one left of the group that arrived.

He tried to move backward with a horrified face, but his feet didn't move. He tried to scream, but nothing came out of his mouth. He horrifiedly looked at Aakesh only to see him expressionlessly looking at him. He finally felt the indifference for himself in Aakesh's eyes.

He tried to apologize, but nothing came out of his mouth. He tried to kneel, but his knees didn't budge. He tried to look away from Aakesh's indifferent eyes, but he couldn't move away. Instead, he felt the eyes getting closer to him. In the end, he found himself in a vast emptiness of the void and an enormous pupil of uncalculable size looking indifferent at him.

"Please, let me go," He tried to apologize. Surprisingly, words came out of his mouth, but there was no response from the void. The eyes continued looking at him indifferently.

His body was free of suppression, so he tried to run away from the eyes, but no matter how far he ran, it still looked the same to him. He tried everything to survive, but there was no response from the void, and the eyes continued looking at him without even a blink. It felt as if he had spent countless years in the emptiness, so he lost the will to live. He tried to kill himself by snapping his neck, but the next moment, his neck healed, and he became the same as before. He then ripped his heart out, but he was still alive. He could feel the pain of harming himself, but he couldn't die. Every time he died, the next moment, he got revived.

Ben didn't know how long he spent in that illusion or how he came out of it, but when he opened his eyes in reality, he found Aakesh standing in front of him. A kind of relief emerged inside his heart as he was finally going to die.

Aakesh didn't do much but only flicked Ben's head. He burst out in blood the next moment. The part of the blood that could've touched Aakesh's skin disintegrated into ashes.

Maria only looked at the scene with pure horror. In only a few seconds, the matter ended with the death of the entire group.

"They made the store dirty," Aakesh commented after seeing the blood and burst body parts all over the hardwood floor of the store. Nothing could even touch the shelves, the counter, and the rules-board.

He suddenly snapped his fingers, and all the space-rings that survived the onslaught rose into the air. There were around seven space rings. Four of them belonged to the experts, and the other three to the group of the mob. Ben's space ring didn't survive his flick. He snapped his fingers again, and everything that dirtied the floor disintegrated into nothingness. The hardwood floor became new like before.

"Here, take this for standing out," He then sent the space rings toward Maria, breaking her out of her stupor.

"No, I can't take this. It's the result of your hard work," Maria refused straight away by trying to move backward from the rings.

"Take it. I don't want it."

"But-"

Maria wanted to speak, but he cut her off in between and said, "You don't have any money. It'll help you in the future if you want to buy anything from the store. It's for standing out for the store before."

"If you don't take it, I'll destroy them," He warned, seeing Maria still not taking them. She grabbed them after his warning as she believed he would do it if she didn't take them.

"Thank you for killing him!" She then bowed and thanked him first before checking the contents in the ring. Her revenge is finally complete even though she wasn't the one to kill Ben.

"I had to do it.. That guy broke the rules of the store," Aakesh casually responded as if what he did was only a minor thing.
