Lily stared right back into Aakesh's eyes and helplessly accepted defeat. Aakesh retracted his punch and picked up Lily, who was bigger than him in size.
The next moment, 1 appeared above Aakesh, shining in a golden color. He was the winner of the three.
The next moment, a wave of light passed over the building. It disappeared in no time, but it had changed the insides completely.
The battle arena was nowhere to be found, but instead of that, there was a reception and a stair connecting to the upper floor.
A piece of information regarding the building appeared in Aakesh's mind. Aakesh was the owner of the hotel.
Using the hotel, Aakesh could earn money from the summoned beings or the natives of the city in the sky. At the same time, there was an additional benefit associated with the building.
There was a special portal room that was directly connected to the entry barrier in Thorr City. So if Aakesh wanted, he could connect the two portals. That way, those who entered the city from Thorr City would directly enter the hotel.
Aakesh decided against it and disconnected the two portals since he had no interest in being the nanny of those entering the city. They were entering after knowing the danger associated with it, and Aakesh had no desire to become a messiah for them. He had done more than enough for the city residents and others by restricting manual entry and not just random summons.
There was another benefit associated with owning the building. Aakesh could assign a room for himself and leave the city anytime he wanted after entering the room. The benefit was solely for Aakesh, and Lily and Khaval couldn't enjoy that unless they owned their buildings.
"It's fine," Lily responded after Aakesh told them about the benefit.
If Aakesh wanted, he could take Lily and Khaval anytime out of the city using the help of the system, but the duo wanted to stay in the city since it was their first trial together, and there were chances of death.
"You have the system's protection. You wouldn't die even if you wanted to," Aakesh said, dousing cold water on the two, letting them know that their safety wasn't up to them.
"Hmph," Lily scoffed in response. But the duo still persisted in staying there for some time. The duo had nothing significant going on in Panagea, so they could leave.
As for Aakesh, he could enter and exit at any time, so they could meet anytime he wanted.
Aakesh assigned the first room on the first floor as his and then walked out of the building with Lily and Khaval beside him.
He noticed that the building looked different from the outside when compared to other structures in the city. For the other structures, there was an array blocking the senses of the outsider, but the one owned by Aakesh didn't have such a feature. Anyone could see from the outside what was going on inside.
Aakesh looked ahead and saw the creature looking at him. He waved his hands with a smile and then disappeared.
Aakesh didn't feel surprised by it since he could sense the aura of the city oozing from the creature. He then returned his focus to the structures on the road and walked to the next building.
As expected, the array blocked their senses from seeing what was inside, but after they entered inside, a new world appeared before their eyes.
The familiar restaurant Aakesh had entered appeared before their eyes, and not long after, the waiter looked exactly like the one in the previous restaurant appeared before him.
"Welcome back, dear sir." The waiter respectfully greeted Aakesh and then took him to the empty chair.
There was no living option at that time, so the waiter didn't ask for a choice. The menu on the table was thicker than the last time.
When Aakesh opened it and read the numerous dishes on it, he found both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Other than the two options, there were also energy dishes.
"What do you want to order, sir?"
The waiter didn't leave like the last time but stood there, waiting for Aakesh to share his order.
The three of them could sense the negative energy trying to subvert their senses, so they remained calm and didn't order. The waiter also stood there silently, ready to take the order whenever Aakesh was ready.
Thirty minutes passed in the blink of an eye, but the waiter stood there and didn't disturb Aakesh.
Aakesh then put the menu card on the table, and the waiter immediately got ready to get the order. After Aakesh didn't speak for five minutes, the waiter opened his mouth and told him about the restaurant's policy.
If Aakesh didn't order for an hour after getting a table, he would be required to pay a fine and then would get thrown out.
"What is the fine?" Aakesh asked after closing the menu, showing his non-interest in ordering anything from the restaurant.
The waiter frowned when he saw that, but he immediately calmed down and a respectful smile reappeared on his face.
"Sir, the fine depends on the occupancy of the store," The waiter responded.
Aakesh nodded and was surprised to find that all the tables in the restaurants were filled, and a queue of new customers had appeared out of nowhere, wanting to get a table.
He understood that the fine wasn't going to be something affordable since the rules had clearly been prepared for someone like him.
Twenty more minutes passed without Aakesh ordering anything. A few more minutes were left before Aakesh would be required to pay the fine to the restaurant.
Time flew by, and soon he was only seconds away from paying the fine.
A sneer flashed past the waiter's face, but it disappeared as quickly as it had arrived. Unfortunately for the waiter, Aakesh had noticed it.
When only the last second was left, Aakesh opened his eyes and asked for a fruit cake.
The waiter froze for a moment but returned to reality not long after, and left with a smile. A few minutes later, he returned with the ordered dish.
