Chapter 1459: A New Day in the Store(2)

"Store owner, I want to upgrade the two beast cards…" Merlock requested Aakesh and added the details of the upgrade.

Aakesh took the two cards and turned to the cylindrical device next to him. He first put the True God level beast card in the card compartment and then tapped on the options on the two rows, respectively.

The next moment, the device became active, and the placed card started to glow. The glow dwindled in no time and flew back to Aakesh's hand.

Aakesh then repeated the process for the Supreme God level beast card, and not long after, it also flew back into his hand.

"You need to pay one thousand eleven supreme and eleven thousand higher Sacred stones for the True God upgrade.

You need to pay twelve thousand one hundred eleven supreme and eleven thousand higher Sacred stones for the Supreme God beast card upgrade," Aakesh expressionlessly informed and returned the two cards to their owner.

Following Aakesh's words, an alert rang inside Merlock's head. He immediately accepted it, and not long after that, the payment got deducted from the store card.

"You can now select five beasts for both the cards," Aakesh stated since only that step was left before the upgrade.

Merlock had chosen the Thousand Beast race pack, and he could select five desired beast opponents for his partners, and the remaining 995 opponents would get randomly chosen based on the beast's talent and fortune.

Merlock already had the five opponents in mind, so he tapped on the new button that had emerged on the card after the upgrade.

Immediately after tapping, a screen appeared on top of the switch. It was only visible to Merlock and Aakesh. Merlock only had to think of the race of the beast, and it would appear on the screen.

After Merlock tapped on all five races, he tapped again on the switch. The next moment, the switch slowly melted into the card. He couldn't see it, but the beast stored inside the card found itself in a blue, endless space with a screen showing it a thousand races from which it could choose its opponent, and on the right side of the screen, there were options for the cultivation level.

Merlock then focused on the second card and repeated the same process. He selected the same five beasts for the Supreme God level beast card since these five were the top level beast races in the Sacred Dimension.

"Thank you, store owner," Once it was all done, Merlock thanked Aakesh and then left the queue since many customers were waiting behind him.

After Merlock left, Aakesh received another order for a Panagea recharge card. Once it was done, the customer left the line and walked toward the waiting corner.

Merlock also didn't leave the store but had joined the queue, waiting for a spot in Panagea. Customers might have purchased additional Panagea hours and didn't need to enter the store, but they still didn't want to waste those hours.

Since the cards would only get recharged once in one hundred days, they knew the value of those hours. Unless it became necessary for them to extend their stay, they wouldn't use those hours and save them for emergencies.

The third customer in line was Maria. Once it was her turn, she gracefully bowed and greeted Aakesh.

Maria was not only a powerful but also a beautiful lady, so she had many suitors in the Sacred Dimension as well. Unfortunately for them, Maria didn't even take a second glance at any of her suitors, irrespective of their social status in the dimension. She was always calm toward others, and only in front of Aakesh did she show her charms, but unfortunately for her, Aakesh's eyes remained as indifferent as ever.

Maria had long accepted the fact that there was no chance of her finding any relationship with Aakesh, but the fanatic faith she had in him restricted her from ever giving up on that.

She had also been in the Sacred Dimension for several decades and had made progress over those years. Panagea was a battleground that allowed her to challenge those above her both in power and wealth.

She had kept that lead over other adventurers, being the highest ranked adventurer in the store. And that was to keep continuing unless Aakesh's level joined the leaderboard or those old customers from the Primal Dimension ascended and returned to Panagea in the Sacred Dimension.

"Senior, I want a Panagea recharge cade," Maria requested Aakesh.

"Give me a Panagea recharge card," Katrina said since she and Autumn had also joined the queue for the cards.

Katrina had a hint of anger in her eyes, but Aakesh ignored it since he was never going to treat her differently than other customers despite his friendship with her. Even if Lily were to be here, she would have had to join the queue for the recharge card.

***

"Can't you loan me some money?" Katrina helplessly asked after hearing the amount she needed to pay for the beast card upgrade for the Supreme God level beast.

Katrina and Autumn were even poorer than casual Sacred Kings, despite having such great talent. Whatever Autumn would earn, she would give it to Lily for her Kingdom, only keeping the necessary wealth required for cultivation.

On the other hand, Katrina had a terrible habit of spending everything on whatever item she liked, so she never saved a significant sum.

Aakesh looked at Katrina for a moment and then finally nodded. Anyway that wasn't the first time Aakesh had loaned money to Katrina.

The next moment, the alert ringing in Katrina's head disappeared, and the payment was completed.

Katrina blew a flying kiss toward Aakesh and then walked out of the line. Since she had the privilege of having a chair, she walked to it and sat down.

Aakesh ignored it and focused on the next customer. It was Autumn. Autumn wasn't as open toward Aakesh as Katrina, so she simply nodded toward him and asked for the items. For her, only Lily and Katrina mattered in the store.

Time flew by, and soon all the customers in the recharge line had bought their recharge cards.
