Chapter 1448 (9) Shocking Both Sides(23)

Chapter 1448: Shocking Both Sides(23)

Gust looked at his son and the ice woman, and then he released Philly down.

"Let's go!" Gust calmly ordered.

Philly ignored Gust's order, looked at the ice woman, and yelled, "Save me; he is trying to kill me."

Gust and the ice woman were both shocked and looked at Philly with the same expression. Gust frowned and coldly spoke, "Who gave you that idea?"

Gust had no thoughts of killing Philly since, no matter what, he was still his son. He simply wanted the treasure left by his wife. Once Gust received it, he would heavily reward his son and family.

Hannah was simply a pawn in his plan, and he wouldn't think twice before giving up on her.

"Do you think I don't know what the relationship is between you and Hannah?"

"How dare you defile the future wife of your son, you Beast-"

The more Philly spoke, the angrier he became, and the temperature in the area dropped.

"YOU BEAST!"

The ice woman angrily screamed and waved her hands. The next moment, Philly disappeared from the spot, leaving Gust and the ice woman alone.

Despite his quick-thinking ability, Gust stood there in shock, not understanding what had happened. When he finally came around, things had gotten late, and the entire icy side was sealed, blocking Gust from entering it.

***

Philly calmly looked around the palace, not having any interest in what was happening on his father's side. A heartbroken expression suddenly appeared on his face and not long after, the ice woman walked out of nowhere.

She gently looked at Philly and descended. Her form changed, and soon she turned into how his dead mother looked.

She had a mixture of gentleness and sadness in her eyes as she embraced her son. In response, Philly also cried like a baby.

"Forgive your mother for leaving you like that," Riza said, tears streaming down her cheeks.

If she knew what kind of monster her husband would become after her death, she would have never left Philly in his care. The mother and son cried for a long time.

'How long is this scene going to last?' Philly cursed in his heart but kept crying outside.

"Be safe, my boy. Your father will not be able to attack you for the next hundred years." Riza said and then completely faded.

A hundred years was less than the blink of an eye for a Sacred Emperor, and there was no way for Philly to grow strong enough to defeat Gust in that amount of time.

Fortunately for Philly, he didn't care about the hundred years or Gust's anger at all. He had a goal in coming here, and once he completed it, he would be out of the picture, returning to reality.

Since the remnant soul left by Riza had completely faded, Philly no longer needed to act, and he returned to his original characteristics.

Time was like a stream that kept flowing, and months after months passed in the blink of an eye. It had been six years since Philly entered the illusion, and he finally reached the last leg of it.

While on the fiery side of the world, Gust stood at the edge. Behind him were Hannah and the three women's corpses. Since he couldn't enter the icy side for a hundred years, he needed something to vent his anger. The four women became the casualties of that.

"Once I pass this test, I will be able to own it and leave this damn place," Philly murmured, looking at the floating key ahead of him.

For the past three years, he had been completing one challenge after another, and he finally reached the last step.

Philly took a deep breath and reached for the key. He grabbed it, and the next moment, a rumble rang in his head. Philly fell unconscious, his hand still holding the key.

***

There was a single island in the vast, endless expanse of the ocean. Philly found himself standing at the edge of the island, and ahead of him was a tall mountain.

He could see the peak of the mountain, standing at the edge. A closed door was present on the peak, and to reach it, Philly would have to go through several life-and-death challenges.

He then took his first step forward, and soon after, he reached the end of the mountain.

Roar!

Immediately, a roar rang in Philly's ears, and following the sound, he found a beast staring at him.

Philly immediately pulled himself backward and the beast pounced. Using the momentum from his pull, he kicked.

Thud!

The beast was thrown in the air like a football. Philly ignored it and started climbing the mountain.

From the edge of the island, the mountain looked a few thousand miles tall, but as he began to climb, Philly felt that what he felt was only the tip.

In the journey of three thousand miles, Philly didn't come across any attack and soon reached a cave. It was a manmade cave, and when Philly walked in, he found it to be a luxuriously comfortable residence.

Philly looked around the vast cave and soon came across a room with closed doors. With a simple punch, the door was open, and Philly walked inside.

The next moment, Philly couldn't help but suck a cold breath as, in front of him, there were several mountains of Sacred stones, ranging between lesser and ultimate.

Philly immediately gathered them, and when he had emptied the room thoroughly, Philly found more than ten thousand ultimate, several million supreme, and billions of higher, ordinary, and lesser stones. All in all, it was a considerable wealth gain worth all the challenges Philly had gone through to reach the treasury.

Philly then went to the bedroom and slept for uncountable hours. It had been a long time, so after waking up, he felt relaxed like never before.

Philly couldn't just stay there for his life, so he walked outside and was greeted by a strong sandstorm, forcing him to return inside.

Unfortunately for Philly, some sand had seeped inside the cave, and that was the beginning of chaos. The sand multiplied on its own, and soon it had covered the entire living area. The sand still kept expanding, and soon there was no spot in the cave where sand wasn't present.
