Chapter 1431 Ghostly Blessings(6)

Chapter 1431: Ghostly Blessings(6)

After waiting several minutes, it was finally Annett's turn to experience the skill. She immediately put the [Illusionary Mirage] skill card in the card compartment, and the next moment, she found her consciousness in a different environment.

Time flew by, and a few seconds passed in reality while minutes had passed for Annett.

Annett's face was filled with anticipation as she held the last skill card she needed to experience. She then didn't waste any more time and placed the card in the respective compartment.

The next moment, Annett found herself in a different environment, just like the previous four times.

As she looked around, she found that she was in a forest. The numerous trees seemed more like an illusion, but Annett was confident that it was a forest.

The environment in the forest was filled with ghostly energy and other types of spiritual energy. The energy seemed to be so rich that it had materialized in the form of clear dew crystals streaking across the greenery.

The next moment, the projection of the beasts she owned appeared in front of her. She had already gotten accustomed to it and immediately touched the projection of Phantom Moth.

The next moment, energy particles began to gather, and soon after, the Phantom Moth materialized into reality.

The Phantom Moth appeared as an otherworldly insect with delicate, ethereal wings that shimmered with a faint, haunting glow. Its slender body was adorned with intricate patterns that danced in and out of visibility, giving it a mesmerizing appearance. Its translucent wings displayed subtle hues of spectral colors, casting an otherworldly radiance in the dim light.

As it fluttered through the air after materializing, the illusory veil surrounding the beast made it appear as if it were a virtual beast, creating an enigmatic presence.

Annett then focused on what was ahead of her. There was a circular arena made of hard soil with enormous trees acting as its fence. It had ample space for tens of Annett and Phantom Moths to gather at once.

The arena wasn't empty, but there was a group of people waiting there. As Annett looked at the group, the group stared back. Their eyes were filled with killing intent.

Every being standing in the arena had the same level of strength as Annett, so getting stared at by beings of equal power sent chills down Annett's spine. Her body seemed unfazed by the strong reaction of consciousness, and she stared back at them.

Annett then added some strength to her legs and jumped forward. She landed on the arena, and the Phantom Moth followed her.

The group, already present in the arena, immediately surrounded her and the beast. There were six people in the group.

Since it was a skill experience for the beast taming, their primary target was the Phantom Moth. Even it seemed frightened by the intense killing intent released by the group.

Annett also acted and activated [Ghostly Blessings]. The next moment, a storm of ghostly energy appeared in the arena, releasing haunting sounds.

The energy then began to melt into the Phantom Moth. Its translucent wings began growing darker while its luminescent eyes turned fully white. A haunting presence emanated from the Phantom Moth as it fluttered its wings. It no longer looked mesmerizing. Instead, it seemed as if it had come alive from a horror story, sending chills down the spine of the beast's owner herself.

Annett wanted to move away from the Ghostly Phantom Moth, but her body was out of her consciousness' control, and it stayed unfazed by all the ghostly energy surrounding her.

There was also an invisible aura around the beast that protected it from the attacks unleashed by the group members. The Phantom Moth stared at its enemies one by one.

It then looked at its master, waiting for her order.

Annett nodded and communicated spiritually, giving orders to the beast.

"Use [Ephemeral Vanish] to appear behind the one in the red, and then use [Phantom Howl] to disorient him and immediately activate [Wraithbound Swipe] to end his life."

The Phantom Moth did as instructed. The next moment, it disappeared from the eyes of the group, and using its quick speed, it immediately appeared behind the man wearing the red armor.

Howl!

The next moment, the beast unleashed the howl, freezing the man who was about to take action. That moment of pause was more than enough for the beast, and it swiped at the man's head with virtual claws made of ghostly energy.

No defense seemed to matter in front of those claws, and they struck the man's back of the head. Since the howl also caused the rise of cowardice, the man couldn't think of ways to defend himself, and the next moment, the man's soul of consciousness was ripped apart by the claws.

The man immediately knelt down and screamed in agony. The beast was about to unleash another claw and end the man's life, but Annett asked it to return.

The next moment, a couple of attacks that could harm the beast passed by the spot where it was a moment before. The other members of the group saw an opportunity, so they struck, having no thoughts of whether the beast would kill their fellow members. Annett had done well by calling the beast back and not falling into the trap of finishing the enemy.

Annett had been a beast tamer for thousands of years, so she knew how to utilize the beast to its full capability. And since the one in the experience area seemed to know even better than the real Annett, the battle went smoothly.

After a few minutes of battle, Annett and the Phantom Moth became the winners of the battle, killing all six enemies in the group.

The next moment, Annett's consciousness returned to the store, and not long after, the screen on the device lit up, showing the training time.

[Skill: Ghostly Blessings

Level: God

Cultivator: Early to Peak Higher God

Compatibility: 68%

Training Time: Nine thousand eight hundred sixty-nine Years.]

Annett looked surprised after seeing the content on the screen. Her compatibility with the skills had been ranging in the late seventies and early eighties for the previous four skills, but for the [Ghostly Blessings], it didn't even touch the seventy mark.

The training time required to master the skill thoroughly was almost ten thousand years. Annett had lived for around seven thousand years, so it was expected for Annett to feel that kind of shock.

Annett was confident that in the next two to three thousand years, she would have enough accumulation to reach the peak Higher God level, but there was a greater chance of her stepping into the Supreme God cultivation level.

For the first time since picking up the skill, Annett felt confused about whether to buy the skill. Once she stepped into the Supreme God level, she would become eligible to purchase Supreme God level skills, so it wasn't easy for her to put a stop to her cultivation for more than ten thousand years. The combined training time of the previous four skills was also around three thousand years, so the combined time would be close to thirteen thousand years, which was almost double her age.

Annett was a quick decision-maker, so she didn't take long before coming to a decision. Annett didn't have an enemy that she needed to train quickly and grow powerful shortly. Neither was there pressure from her family on her since she was not only close to her sister, the most talented member of her family, and her relationship with her parents was also excellent.

With that in mind, Annett decided to take a risk and go with the [Ghostly Blessings]. Once she decided what to do, her heart felt lighter, and she walked out of the line.

Time was like a stream that kept flowing without any obstruction. Seconds turned into minutes; minutes turned into hours; hours into days; days into weeks; weeks into months; and just like that, five months passed in the blink of an eye.

The sun rose on Thorr and its nearby cities. Its rays of light, piercing through the cover of darkness, spread across the city.

With the first ray of light touching the ground, the store opened its door, and as the situation had become, a large crowd of people was already waiting for it.

Even though several months had passed since the store had been opening regularly, there was still a shadow in the hearts of many customers. They didn't want to go through that dark phase of three years when the store didn't open its doors.

With excited and hopeful expressions, the customers thronged the store like a raging tide, while the overcrowded street turned empty.
