Chapter 1401: Frustration!

[...

First-grade King Blood Replenishing Pill: 164,812,752/100,000,000,000.]

Aakesh nodded in appreciation after seeing the progress the store had made for the pill quest.

The requirement of Lesser Pills was fulfilled for all twenty categories, while there were only a few categories left in the Higher grade, and they weren't also very far from their limit.

The only issue was the King grade pills. Since there were three categories for every pill, it was way below the average required to fulfill the condition.

But since the quest had a deadline of one hundred years and only around one-third of it had passed, Aakesh had no reason to worry about the King grade pills.

Aakesh then waved his hands, and soon after that, the two blue screens disappeared. Before he could summon the screen of another mission, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him.

Aakesh turned in that direction and found a customer coming toward him with a page in their hand. Aakesh stopped thinking about the quest and focused on the customer.

While inside the beast room, Ririk was fuming in anger. Controlling his frustration, he pressed the button once again.

The next moment, '7' appeared on top of the screen while the square sections began to rotate. Five seconds later, the rotation stopped, and a beast appeared on the screen.

Ririk found it extremely tough to control himself at that moment, as the beast on the screen was another on his list. It was his eighth summon, and there hadn't been a single situation where Ririk didn't summon a beast from his list. It should have been a fortunate event for many to summon the beast they liked, but not for Ririk.

Without any change, all the beasts he had summoned belonged to the same quality, inferior. Ririk almost gritted his teeth in anger when he looked at the quality section of the new card.

Without fail, it was another beast of inferior quality. It was as if someone were playing a cruel joke on him.

If not for the fear of the store, Ririk would have used everything in his power to ruin the store and the store owner. But since he could do nothing, he could only take repeated deep breaths to calm his heart.

Being the direct descendant of a Sacred Monarch made him never lack wealth, so the cost of summoning, which had grown ten times with every round, didn't affect him that much until that time. It was the same quality that was taking a mental toll on him.

Ririk could give up on summoning today, but he didn't want to. But at the same time, he also knew he couldn't spend his stones wastefully. After a few more rounds, every summoning round would cost a fortune, even for him.

Ririk took another deep breath and decided his next summoning would be the last for the day. He then pressed the button, and soon after, '5' appeared on top of the screen, and the square section began to rotate.

Five seconds passed in a flash. Ririk's stomach was in knots as he impatiently awaited the arrival of the beast.

The next moment, a beast appeared on the screen, and for the first time, it wasn't a beast on his list. Instead of feeling disappointed about it, Ririk jumped up in excitement.

But as the card formed, he calmed down. When it flew to his hands, he didn't immediately read the quality section but prayed to his ancestors.

After he had calmed down, he brought his eyes to the quality section.

"SUPREME!" Ririk yelled in joy after finding that it wasn't another inferior quality beast.

If it were before, Ririk would have felt disappointed at not getting ultimate quality, but his mental situation at that time was such that he would be happy with even a higher quality beast.

Being happy with supreme quality was one thing, but being willing to buy it was another, so for the first time since Ririk began the summoning, he focused on the ability section.
