Chapter 1326: Selecting the Candidate(13)

After Phily pressed the button, the square light began to rotate and kept at it for three seconds.

When the rotation was over, a beast unfamiliar to him appeared on the screen. Not long after, a card formed out of nowhere and flew into his hand. Philly immediately focused on the content on it and was taken aback by what he read.

The upper half of the card contained an illustration of the stunning beast. Its body was sleek and streamlined, perfectly adapted to navigate the waters with grace and agility. Its skin shimmered with a golden hue, reflecting the sunlight and creating an otherworldly glow that could illuminate even the depths of the oceans. The golden scales on its body were arranged in intricate patterns, as if they had been delicately created by a skilled artist.

The most striking feature of the Golden Axolotl was its head, adorned with bioluminescent gills that emitted soft and soothing light. Its tail was adorned with golden filaments that trailed behind it, leaving a trail of golden light in its wake.

It was another ultimate quality beast that Phily couldn't afford at all.

"How good it would have been if I had found a treasure trove before coming to the store," Phily mumbled in disappointment. It was torture for him to summon beasts like that and be unable to afford them.

Phily had felt the same when he was unable to afford the God level skills, but at least he could buy Master and Expert level skills. The situation wasn't the same in the beast room. Quality can't be targeted, and the summoning would only depend on the fate of the summoner.

While Phily was thinking in disappointment, a new wave of memory regarding the details of the beast appeared in his mind. Similar to last time, Phily didn't notice anything wrong and found it to be expected of him.

Similar to the Golden Square Tortoise, the Golden Axolotl was also a royal species of its race.

Phily couldn't bear that kind of torture anymore, so he decided to leave the queue and put a stop to his plans to summon a beast. If he were ever to be able to afford them, then he would return to the room and buy beasts. Until then, it was farewell from Phily's side.

Thinking like that, Phily walked out of the room. Even though he hadn't bought the beast, he still needed to pay the summoning cost. Since he had only attempted summoning twice, he only needed to pay one hundred and ten lesser Sacred stones, which was a minimal amount for him. Despite that, Phily felt heartbroken since that was wasteful spending in his eye.

Phily never thought that even spending lesser Sacred stones would make him feel heartache, but reality didn't follow the cognition of the people.

There was a line waiting in front of the store owner, so he also joined it. Phily could go to the weapon room and see some weapons for himself, but he was no longer in the mood to check that.

The emotional burden on him was incredibly heavy, and he felt things would break down if he saw something different that would change his cognition again.

Phily silently waited for his turn, and after waiting for a few minutes, it was his turn.

"Store owner, I want to pay the summoning cost," Phily requested.

Aakesh nodded and then asked the system. The next moment, Phily's purchase details appeared in his head.

"You need to pay one hundred ten lesser Sacred stones," Aakesh expressionlessly informed Phily. Aakesh didn't try to know what forced Phily to give up on only the second summoning since there could be many reasons, and he didn't care.

"Here," Phily responded, taking the required sum out.

"Thank you, store owner," Phily thanked Aakesh and then turned around to leave.

Aakesh focused on his next customer, but he suddenly glanced at Phily's back and found that the way Phily walked had changed.
