Chapter 1285: Soulforge Ignition(4)

A large army of powerful creatures from different races surrounded him.

Each member of the enemy side looked bloodthirsty as if they wouldn't settle for anything less than Kernel's death.

Kernel couldn't help but feel a shudder in his spine when he saw so many bloodthirsty stares. He wanted to run away from the battle, but fortunately, his body was outside his control.

It took some time, but Kernel finally calmed down. And as soon as he saw powerful attacks coming at him, the calm immediately vanished, and the worry returned.

Kernel's body acted entirely opposite of what his consciousness was feeling. He was calmly looking at the scene playing out.

When Kernel's body felt it was time, he activated [Soulforge Ignition]. The next moment, out of nowhere, flames began to appear around him. The flame was burning radiantly. Even if it were to replace the sun on a planet, the light would still be the same.

The flame was made of stellar energies, and it was called the Stellar Flame for the same reason. It was one of the top twenty flames in the Multiverse. It has myriads of abilities, and one of them was forging spiritual energies.

At the same time, it also transferred some of its energy to its owner, buffing them.

As the flame completely engulfed Kernel, he felt his strength grow severalfold. The same was true for his defense and agility. At the same time, his spiritual sight had received the most benefit. With just a glance, Kernel could see the weakness in the souls of opponents below the Supreme God level.

He immediately put those boosted attributes to work and clashed with the attacker approaching him. The members of Lazarus were never known for their physical strength, but at that moment, Kernel, a Lazarus member, killed a being with his punch, using nothing but physical power.

Kernel didn't lose control of his emotions and jumped into that battlefield. The enemy he killed was only a Higher God level cultivator, while he was a peak Supreme God cultivator. The punch worked against the weak enemy, but it would not work against an early Supreme God cultivator, let alone the three peak Supreme God cultivators at the back of the enemy camp.

[Soulforge Ignition] wasn't a skill that only buffed its user. Its most amazing ability was the forging of weapons made of spiritual energy.

The flame surrounding him gathered at the tip of his finger. At the same time, Kernel began to release spiritual energy.

When the energy came in contact with the flame, a slight burning pain hit Kernel, but since it was like a mosquito bite, he didn't feel much.

As the energy touched the flame, it seemed to materialize into reality. But it was only an illusion. As Kernel released spiritual energy, he tried to mold it into a sword, and soon, there was a floating ethereal sword around him.

Kernel felt a slight exhaustion with only one creation, but the sharpness of that ethereal sword made him confident enough to go for another sword.

While forging the ethereal swords, Kernel was also dodging the opponent's attacks using his quick agility.

When Kernel had formed four ethereal swords, he stopped making another one. From what Kernel believed, he would be able to make two more before his energy reserves reached a dangerous level, but keeping the buff from the flame active wasn't an easy task. It demanded huge reserves of energy.

Kernel attacked with two swords in his hands, while the other two were floating around him, working based on his mental control.

Its sharpness was no less than the ultimate quality of a weapon, as it cut through its opponents as if it were a hot knife passing through butter.

The ethereal swords not only cut through the physical body but also the spiritual body. It was an instant death or an unbearable wave of pain before dying for whoever was cut through the sword.

While battling, Kernel didn't forget to use the flame to his advantage. It had a spiritual anguish effect, so Kernel would randomly release the flame toward his enemies.

It was an excruciating torture for whoever was burned by the flame. It was so horrific that even Kernel's consciousness was frightened of using it on someone.

As the battle came to an end with Kernel cutting his last enemy, he stumbled to the ground, gasping for a clear breath. Using the skill was both physically and mentally tiring.

The boost to his attributes felt good. But since Kernel's body had used the skill's enhanced effect for a long time, when the skill was deactivated, his entire body was in pain.

Kernel looked in shock at the training time for the skill. But he immediately calmed down. After witnessing the skill's effects from his own eyes, Kernel wouldn't feel the skill was demanding too much even if it were to take fifty thousand years.

He then returned his focus to the card compartment. Since he had bought attacking and defensive type skills belonging to Emperor and King levels, the experience session hadn't ended for him.

Time flew by, and once he had experienced all the skill cards, he turned around and left the room.

"Store owner, I want these skill cards," Kernel requested, pushing eight skill cards toward him.

Aakesh nodded and took the cards from his hands. As he glanced at them, the details appeared in his head.

"You need to pay nine ultimate,..., Sacred stones," Aakesh expressionlessly informed Kernel. He then introduced the three store cards to him after he saw Kernel taking ten ultimate Sacred stones out to complete the payment.

Kernel bought the Ultimate Store Card and then paid for the eight skills using that.

"These skills are yours…" Aakesh informed Kernel after the system informed him of the successful payment. He also told Kernel how to absorb the information in the skill card.

Kernel had primarily come to the store for skills, so once he had bought those, his job was done. But after seeing the skills, he became interested in different store's products as well.
