Chapter 1282: Soul Shatterer(1)

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh had only closed his eyes to relax when he heard the sound of footsteps coming toward the store.

He opened his eyes and turned in that direction. An unfamiliar face entering the store greeted his sight.

It was a male from the Lazarus race, a specie of the Demon group.

Lazarus was one of the overlord races of the group, with only the strongest demon group above them in strength.

Lazarus was a race that focused more on the spirit than the body, going against the majority power system of the demons.

The creatures of the Lazarus race were tall and slender, with towering physiques. Even the shortest member of the race was thirty meters tall.

Their skin was a transparent black that seemed to devour as well as emit light. They had a pair of eyes with a combination of black sclera and gray pupils.

Kernel was an extraordinary figure in the Lazarus race, with him being the descendant of a family that had given birth to three Sacred Creators other than the primogenitor of the Lazarus race, Lazarus, who had ascended to the Primordial Dimension.

After Lazarus ascended, there was a civil war in the top three families. All three of them were directly related to Lazarus. All sons and daughters of Lazarus were killed in the war, with the one with the lowest concentration of his bloodline being the sole survivor.

That sole survivor became the second Sacred Creator of the Lazarus race and took it to the height where it currently stood. Kernel was born in the same line, with his grandfather being the third Sacred Creator.

Since Kernel was one of the most talented members of his generation in the race, he was closest to becoming the fourth Sacred Creator. Whether he would become one wasn't sure since Kernel was only a peak Supreme God level cultivator at that point.

Kernel's coming to the store wasn't based on coincidence or luck; he had come here after finding all the public information available about the store.

Kernel stopped at the outside steps of the store and looked at the building. Kernel then took a deep breath and walked forward.

As he stepped inside the store, the senses-restriction array stopped working for him, and the visuals inside the store appeared in his eyes.

His eyes fell on the blue-skinned man sitting on the chair. Since Kernel had come here after learning all the public information available about the store, he recognized him as the store owner.

A smile spread across his face, and he walked forward and approached Aakesh.

"Hello, store owner!" Kernel smilingly greeted Aakesh.

Aakesh silently nodded in response to the greeting and waited for the man to ask the question. Kernel didn't let Aakesh delay for long, and he asked about the store's products immediately after the introduction.

Even though he was already aware of the products sold in the store, he still asked Aakesh about them since who could better explain the products than the store owner.

"The store currently sells six products…

"... these are the products currently available in the store," Aakesh concluded the basic introduction of all products in a single breath.

What Kernel heard from Aakesh was the same as what he had learned, so he brought his attention to the product he had come to the store for.

Being one of the overlords in the demon group gave Lazarus a wide array of knowledge. That included skills, but for some reason, Kernel had never felt satisfied with the skills in his family. Since Lazarus followed a rare spirit type system, the skills they had were less than those of the majority of the demon races.

There were other groups cultivating spirit skills, but for some reason, the members of Lazarus couldn't use the skills of other races. It also showed the power of Lazarus. Only the skills he had left for his descendants allowed them to rise.

To find a skill he could use, Kernel went on a hunt, and there he learned about the store from one of his subordinates. At first, he wasn't confident in the store, but when he learned about the members of the store, he immediately rushed to the store.

Kernel then asked different questions about the store. The first question he asked was about whether he would be able to use the skills from the store. He needed to be hundred percent confident before celebrating the store.

After finding the good news, he asked different questions. His questions seemed to never end.

Finally, after what felt like Aakesh had answered thousands of questions, Kernel thanked Aakesh and then went toward the skill room.

When he entered the room, he was greeted by the sight of seven counters with five rows each and the semi-pillar at the end.

Since Kernel was a peak Supreme God, he was going to get the same level of skills. He had only entered that level, so he was centuries away from any breakthrough.

Kernel believed that he would master the skills he bought from the store when the time for his breakthrough arrived.

Kernel neither lacked money nor time, so he immediately reached for the god level shelf in the last row.

When he pulled his hand out, it had a card in it. Kernel read the details on it and immediately returned it.

He already had the skill. The one he had was dumber than the one on the card, but it wasn't one he really liked, so the upgrade didn't interest him at all.

He pulled his hand out again, containing a new skill card.

Time flew by.

Kernel pulled out a new skill card on his seventh attempt.
