Chapter 1260: A New Day for the Store(7)

Grim believed that he would have to wait for hours before the founder came to the store, but only around an hour had passed when there was a sudden teleportation around Grim.

Grim immediately bowed down since the aura belonged to the founder.

Traveling hundreds of universes in an hour wasn't an easy feat for a Sacred Emperor level cultivator, but the founder didn't care about the energy at all.

Hints of physical tiredness could be seen on the man's face since passing through the void so many times could take a physical toll on the body.

Ignoring his short breath and tiredness, the founder looked at the building in front of him.

The founder was going to ask Grim some questions, but as he appeared here, the energy from the store made him somewhat believe what Grim had told him.

The founder didn't talk to Grim but casually glanced at him with a threatening stare and then walked forward. Grim understood the motive behind the glance and felt himself turning into a puddle due to fear.

Fortunately for him, it was only a feeling and didn't become a reality. Only after the founder had stepped inside the store and his energy had disappeared did Grim breathe a sigh of relief.

Grim followed him inside since he was also interested in the store's products and wanted a beast for him as well.

There was a small line in front of the store owner while the founder was looking around the inside.

The founder had great talent when it came to business, and that was the reason behind his forming a big merchant organization.

Grim then came to the founder and informed him of the Beast Summoner Device in detail. The founder intently listened since the Melodious Nightingale was at stake.

Aakesh has noticed an unfamiliar face entering the store, but since he was in conversation with another new customer, he only took a quick glance at the man and returned his focus to the woman in front of him

The founder belonged to the Vyan race, an upper-tier race with a Sacred Monarch at its helm. The founder's name was Aapan, and he came from an ordinary family in the race.

Aapan rose from that position to have his own Merchant organization, working through several Universes. His relationship with the ruler of the Vyan race was also good, so there were no evil eyes toward his organization from other Sacred Kings.

The members of the Vyan race had a below-average appearance, and Aapan was an exception to that with his sharp jaws, chiseled body, and ideal physique. What added further to his charm was the golden pattern of a star imprinted in the area between his brows.

It wasn't a unique feature of the Vyans, but Aapan was the sole Vyan with that pattern because of his mother. His mother was of a different race. The pattern was nothing special but only a beauty mark.

"Do I need to get permission from that guy to summon the beast?" Aapan asked after listening to Grim.

"No! Master, you can directly enter the room and complete the summoning," Grim answered. He could sense the urgency in the founder's voice for the beast.

Aapan nodded, and then, without speaking any more words, he turned in the direction of the room and proceeded forward. Grim also followed the man since he wanted to be there in front of the founder when he summoned the beast.

Aapan was standing in front of the second Beast Summoner Device when his turn to begin the summoning arrived.

While waiting for his turn, Aapan looked at the various murals of different majestic beasts painted on the wall. Not for even a moment did the idea of summoning another of those various beasts appear in his mind.

The only thought going through his mind was to summon the Melodious Nightingale.

Thinking like that, Aapan pressed the button. The next moment, the square light began to rotate and kept doing so for the next five seconds.

During the five seconds, Aapan prayed to see the Melodious Nightingale when it came to a stop.

Unfortunately for him, he was met with disappointment when the rotation stopped. There was an unfamiliar beast on the screen, and not long after, its card emerged out of nowhere and flew into his hand.

Aapan didn't even look at the beast's details and immediately placed it in the return compartment.

He then pressed the button again, initiating the second round of summoning. Five seconds later, a similar scene played out as a beast other than the bird appeared on the screen and Aapan had no interest in looking at its details.

Time flew by, and seconds passed in a flash.

Aapan pressed the button again. The next moment, '8' appeared on top of the screen, and the square light began to rotate.

Five seconds passed in the blink of an eye and the rotation came to a stop. Aapan hadn't lost any hope and wished to see the beast on the screen.

The next moment, his eyes widened in joy when he saw the beast on the screen. It was none other than the Melodious Nightingale he had been praying for.

Not long after, the beast card formed out of thin air, but Aapan was so immersed in the screen that he didn't even see it. His eyes were moist, as he had been looking for the beast for thousands of years.

During his search, he wanted nothing more than to go back in time and kill his son before he even committed the crime. Aapan hated everything associated with the boy, so much so that he hadn't seen the boy's mother since that event. He had been living in guilt since the bird's suicide.

Aapan wasn't stupid enough not to know that the bird he summoned from the store would be different than the one he treated as his son. Aapan just wanted to apologize to the previous nightingale for failing to protect him.

As the card automatically attached itself to his hand, Aapan finally returned to reality and looked at the card.
