Chapter 1259: A New Day for the Store(6)

"Store owner, wait for me," Grim suddenly said and then left the queue in a hurry.

His direction was the store's exit. As soon as he stepped out, he took out a small card-like device from his space ring.

There was a single button on the card, and Grim pressed it. The next moment, a projected screen emerged from the button.

There were some faces on the screen, and Grim tapped on one. His hand didn't pass through the projection but successfully tapped on the screen, making it seem as real as other screens.

The card-like device was a communication device for the top-level members of the organization to communicate with other members or even the people on the board.

The face Grim had tapped on the projected screen belonged to his superior, who was on the board.

"Did you find the source of the loss?"

Not long after, the call was picked up, and a voice came from the other side since Grim had left to search for the reason behind the continuous loss over the past few centuries on planet Curiel.

"Sir, I have even bigger news than that," Grim replied since his superior was the only way for him to communicate with the founder.

"Can you please ask the founder to talk with me?" Grim immediately asked.

Grim's request surprised his superior. The founder had been living in solace since that unfortunate event, and none other than the members of the board were allowed to communicate with him, not even his other family members.

"Why do you want to talk with the founder?" The superior questioned.

It was one of the privileges of the top-level members of the organization to communicate with the founder, but if the matter was something unimportant and angered the founder, the superior would be in trouble since he was the one who was the middle man in their communication.

"Sir, I want to exchange my merit for communication." Grim had expected his superior to ask him about his motive, but Grim knew he couldn't tell anyone other than the founder about the beast summoner device.

Grim was confident of a bright future the moment he learned that even the Melodious Nightingale could be summoned, so he didn't waste his time and directly exchanged his merit points.

The superior had no choice but to accept Grim's request without knowing his motive. He was also out of any trouble since communicating with the founder using merit was something uncontrollable for the superior, so even if anything troubling happened, Grim would be solely responsible for it.

The superior accepted Grim's request and told him to wait some time.

Grim's luck seemed to be working at full speed, as the waiting didn't last long, and only after a few minutes, there was a response from the superior.

The next moment, a new projected screen popped out in front of him. There was a number written on it, and it was changing every five seconds.

Grim immediately cut the call with his superior and dialed the number he saw before it could change.

Before the duration of five seconds passed, the call was connected. Not long after, the screen turned black while the voice of the founder rang in Grim's ears.

"Greetings, Master!" Grim immediately greeted the founder since he was not only the head of the organization he worked for, but he was also the stronger of the two.

"Why did you want to talk to me?" The founder ignored the greeting and asked. He was in no mood to have a large communication with anyone.

"Master, I have good news for you."

"I remember the heartbreak you felt when Master Garil died. From that day on, I have been searching hard for the bird."

Grim's face suddenly turned pale as he could sense the aura turning violent on the other side of the screen. He calmed his pounding heart and continued, trying to sell how hard he had worked to find a second Melodious Nightingale.

In the end, he finally informed the founder about the Beast Summoner Device, and there was a cracking sound on the other side of the screen.

The next moment, the screen lit up, and a handsome face presented itself on the screen.

Grim felt himself falling into the deepest pit of hell as he came across the chilly eyes of the founder.

"If there is any falsehood in what you said, I will extinguish your entire race and feed their hearts to you."

Grim's face turned completely pale when he heard the threat. For a moment, the doubt in the store owner's words emerged in his head.

He also cursed himself for losing himself in greed and informing the founder without even verifying the news. But now that he had done it, there was no point in acting afraid and worsening his chances.

Grim vowed that whatever he said was the truth and also informed the man of the store's address.

As soon as the address was complete, the projected screen in front of Grim disappeared, with the founder's order ringing in his head.

"Wait for me!"

Grim accepted the order and stood there, waiting for the founder to come to the store.

"Store owner, I want to purchase these three skills," Ruwan respectfully told Aakesh and passed the three skill cards to him.

Aakesh took a casual glance at the cards, and soon after, the details emerged in his head.

"You need to pay two hundred..." Aakesh expressionlessly informed the man of the price.

Ruwan nodded, took out one Ultimate stone from his space ring, and tried to hand it to Aakesh.

Aakesh stopped the man and then told him about the conversion rate only being eligible for card owners.

Ruwan nodded and bought one Higher Store Card since he had no supreme stone with him. Soon after his bonding was complete, he stored the stone in the space inside the card and completed the purchase.

"The three skill cards are yours…" Aakesh informed Ruwan and also told him about the process to absorb the knowledge.

"Thank you, store owner!" Ruwan thanked Aakesh and then walked toward the exit of the store.

There were other products for him to check out, but Ruwan didn't want to waste even a moment before the challenge.
