Chapter 1233: Akonos(1)

The bell rang for the umpteenth time, announcing the start of another battle.
Stacy pushed as much strength as she could into her legs and threw herself forward. The opponent also came with the spear, ready to crush Stacy.
When the opponent's spear was about to touch Stacy, she moved slightly away from the spot. The next moment, the weapon passed through empty air.
Using that chance, Stacy attacked. The opponent was several times quicker than her as it jerked its spear back and clashed with Stacy's attack.
Stacy seemed to face a wall at that moment, but the clash didn't last long as Stacy found the world around her turning dark.
Even though Stacy died soon after the battle, it was the first ever battle where Stacy cleanly dodged the first strike, and the slight smile on her face showed that.
The training did wonders for her, as before entering she could think nothing but of Aakesh and the Khostics, but after the countless battles, she could only think of battles, taking her mind away from all the troubles.
Soon, the hour was over, and Stacy's twenty hours were complete. The next moment, the system forced Stacy out of the training area.
Inside the weapons room, the golden, transparent energy barrier around Stacy began to fade, and color returned to her eyes as her consciousness returned to her body.
Stacy could feel no energy improvement in herself, but she noticed that her movement speed had slightly grown, as had her body coordination. She still wasn't even close to achieving the same body speed as thinking speed, but there was a visible improvement.
Now that she was outside the training area and there was no battle against the opponent, reality rushed at her. The downtrodden expression returned, but soon she calmed down.
The countless battles had helped her vent some of her frustration. To remove the remaining irritation, she needed to see her father and her daughter.
Stacy then exited the room and approached Aakesh.
At that moment, Aakesh was in conversation with a customer, so she joined the line like the other two customers and waited for her turn to arrive.
The wait didn't last long since the two of three customers were here to complete the sale and their situation was immediately solved.
"How are you feeling?" Aakesh asked when he saw it was Stacy's turn.
Aakesh didn't care about Stacy but since she was related to his past, he treated him differently than he would treat other customers. It was only for personal conversation and not for the store's products. Even Lily had to pay the same price as other customers if she wanted something from the store.
"Feeling better than before," Stacy responded with a smile.
The smile had some hints of awkwardness in it since Stacy could do nothing to stop the giddy feeling in her heart whenever she looked at Aakesh.
"Do you know Lyraia?" After Stacy had left for the training area, Aakesh remembered Lyraia. She was the first customer who found Aakesh familiar, so he had decided to ask Stacy whether the two knew each other.
"Yes, she was a very strong Aurelian," Stacy was confused by Aakesh's question, but she still answered.
Aakesh didn't ask any more questions since Stacy's answer showed that she didn't personally know Lyraia but knew because of her fame and strength in the Sacred Dimension.
'Does she know the same version as Stacy?' Aakesh thought in his heart since both the situation with Lyraia and Stacy happened long before the war waged by Vritrasura.

After the training area, Stacy came to the beast room. This time, she looked at the beast murals and didn't simply ignore them as she waited for her turn.
Since there was only one customer ahead of her, it didn't take long before her turn arrived.
Stacy had several beasts in her mind for the summoning, and she pressed the button. The next moment, the square light began to rotate at a rapid rate. Five seconds passed in the blink of an eye as an unfamiliar beast appeared on the screen.
Not long after, a card formed out of thin air and flew into Stacy's hand.
