Chapter 123: Reward

Aakesh threw the leader away after crushing his neck. The leader didn't die right away and instead suffered for a few moments before his body stopped flailing around on the ground.

In the next moment, the red screen displaying the casualty count disappeared. A new blue window, showing the result of the quest, appeared the next moment.

[Adventurer! The town of Wolfden thanks you for saving the town from extinction.

Because of the sudden action taken by the radical leader, the quest saw a significant increase in casualties. But as per the mission requirement, you had hunted all the radicals and their leader successfully.

Your previous reward for the quest was an increase of five levels, but after the emergence of the emergency mission, your reward is an increase of ten levels.]

The screen then disappeared while a blue light emerged and engulfed Aakesh completely the next moment.

A few moments later, the blue light disappeared. Aakesh's body had slight changes after that. His body had grown slightly taller while his muscles had gotten tighter, adding to the looks of Aakesh.

Aakesh decided to check his status to see the change in his attributes. He then thought of the personal status in his mind.

The next moment, a blue screen with golden fonts appeared in front of him, containing all his details.

Personal Status:

Name: Aakesh,

Race: [*****],

Gender: Male,

Lifeform: Ordinary,

Class: None,

Level: Level 20,

HP: 499/500,

Energy: 400/500,

Physical attributes:

Strength: 51 (+20),

Agility: 51 (+20),

Intelligence: -0-,

Endurance: -0-,

Comprehensions: Hand fighting (100%), Archery (100%), Swordsmanship (100%)...

Skills: Wolfbane, Ability-Learning.

His eyes first fell on the addition of a new section in his status screen. It signified his lifeform, and it said ordinary.

"So, the lifeform level also follows the same grade as treasures of Panagea," mumbled Aakesh. He then returned to the screen and focused on it.

There were enormous changes in his HP and Energy capacity. They had grown up to 500. His current HP was 499 due to the air-blade that the leader had used.

His energy was 400 since he had used the skill, Ability-learning, to kill more than 10,000 people at once.

After reading this, Aakesh focused on his strength and agility. They still were equal and had grown by a massive twenty units.

There was nothing new to see below the attributes, so Aakesh thought the window would disappear, and the next moment, the status screen disappeared.

Aakesh received another alert from the system telling him to leave Panagea, so the next moment, he disappeared from Panagea and appeared in the store.

After appearing in the store, his body returned to its normal appearance since the difference between Aakesh's power in the real world and Panagea was the difference between the sky and the earth.

Since Aakesh wanted to take a bath first, the stairs to his room in the store appeared. He then stepped on it and reached his room. Right after entering, his eyes fell on the greyed-out virtual portal.

"Wait for a few more days!" Aakesh mumbled after taking a look at the portal once and went to the bathroom.

After taking a bath, he stepped down the stairs and returned to the store. He then went to the door and opened it.

The next moment, a crowd rushed into his store.

"You're late, senior!" Mark commented after entering the store. "Greetings, senior!" He then greeted Aakesh with a slight bow without waiting for Aakesh's response.

The others present in the crowd greeted Aakesh after Mark and waited for Aakesh's response.

"I was busy," Aakesh expressionlessly responded, seeing the eager eyes of the customers.

"Here, we thought, you're going to add a new product," Bisal commented with a disappointed sigh. After seeing the door of the store closed for such a long time, they believed that it was due to an addition of a product.

"There'll be an addition of the product, but it would be after some days," Aakesh expressionlessly responded. He didn't stop and added further, "Three days later, there would be a three-day event for the store, so you should come and join that event. There would be many rewards."

"An event, senior!" Mark exclaimed, hearing Aakesh.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded in response.

"Is the knowledge of alchemy related to the event, senior?" Bisal chimed in and asked. Since learning that he could become an alchemist in Panagea and learn new knowledge in four days, he had never been more hurried than ever.

Aakesh nodded in response to Bisal.

"Can't you do the event today, senior?" Bisal asked as a fawning smile appeared on his face.

Aakesh ignored the question, turned around, and went to his chair. He then sat down on it and looked at the crowd, waiting for their orders.

Bisal coughed to erase the awkwardness while Mark slapped his back, laughing loudly. Mark would've never done this before entering Panagea as Bisal was the son of his association head, but dying hundreds of times in Panagea made their bond even thicker than the blood.

Pallas glared at her husband, seeing her husband's actions. Mark only smiled in response. He knew she was worried about him, but she didn't understand their bond.

"Senior, six hours, and three mental healing pills for us," Pento said while pointing at his group and the group of his guards. Today, only five guards came with him since he decided to train the guards on alternating days.

Aakesh nodded, and the next moment the required payment got deducted from Pento's top card.

"You leave. I will join you after talking to the senior," Pento then turned around and ordered his group. The group members nodded and proceeded to the portal room after taking their respective pills from the counter.

Pento didn't directly talk to Aakesh, and instead, he gestured to the group of Pallas to buy whatever they wanted to buy.

"Senior, six hours and three mental healing pills for us," Pallas's boss asked.

Aakesh nodded and took out the pills since he had already been standing there after Pento's order. He then handed the pills to Pallas's boss, and the next moment, the payment got deducted from her top card.

After eating pills, the group proceeded toward the portal room. Eight virtual portals had already got filled, so they found five other portals and entered.. The next moment, they disappeared from the store and appeared in Panagea.
