Chapter 1228: Stacy and Aakesh(1)

"Why don't you want to marry him?" Logan asked his daughter, Stacy, with frustration and helplessness visible in his eyes.

"I don't like him," Stacy replied with a clear answer.

Logan was the ruler of the Khostics, while Stacy was one of his three daughters and his favorite.

The Khostics was a top race in the low tiers, with Logan being the only Sacred Monarch in the race. Even though Stacy was his favorite child and he had always spoiled her, he was no longer in the mood to let her reject the marriage.

The proposal was from Gulgan, one of the top races with a Sacred Creator as the ruler. To be precise, Gurren was the guy to propose marriage and was next in line to become the ruler of Gulgan.

Logan cared about Stacy's choice to marry whomever she wanted, but the arrogance of members of the Gulgan race was known to races across the dimension.

If Stacy somehow refused the proposal, it would lead to war between Khostics and Gulgans. And not even in their imagination did the Khostics stand a chance against the Gulgan.

Stacy also understood why her father was frustrated. She would have accepted the proposal if not for Gurren's being a debased creature. She wasn't the only one to get proposed to for marriage; her seven friends were also.

Gurren had seen them together and had fallen for them. Out of the seven, three belonged to Khostics, while the remaining four were from other races.

Neither of the seven friends had as considerable background as Stacy, so their parents accepted. The result was that they became a part of Gurren's harem, and Stacy had no interest in becoming one.

"Sir, we have been waiting for you," Gurren respectfully bowed as he welcomed the honorable guest, whom even his father treated respectfully.

A dark blue-skinned man with what appeared to be wise eyes stood in front of Gurren. The man was none other than Aakesh, and it was one of his past lives.

Aakesh smiled in response to Gurren's greeting and stepped inside the room prepared for him.

"You can leave now," Aakesh commented, and without waiting for Gurren's response, he closed the door in his face.

Gurren stood there frozen in shock, and soon after, his face turned red from anger. The people standing behind Gurren had their faces turned pale.

They knew Gurren and how cruel he was. Since Gurren could do nothing for that honorable guest, he was going to vent his anger on them.

"Follow me!"

As expected, Gurren cruelly muttered and then left the area, with the people behind him following him.

"What is her answer?" Gurren asked, wiping the blood from his hands.

All around him were mutilated corpses spread around. Someone was still alive and flailing in pain. Gurren didn't like the scene, so he raised his finger, and the next moment, a beam of energy flew from the tip of his finger and struck the man. The flailing stopped, and the room returned to silence.

Gurren then focused on the man standing in front of him. The man was his best friend as well as his younger brother.

The brother's face showed discomfort; he clearly didn't like the scene in the room, but he had known his brother's cruel personality since he was young, so he had gotten used to seeing these scenes.

"Brother, she still hadn't said yes," The brother replied.

Gurren ignored the discomfort on his brother's face and left the room. When he was about to exit, he turned around and said, "Since she doesn't like my peaceful proposal, show her what I can do."

The younger brother stood there still, and then sometime after, he shook his head and left the room since he needed to follow his brother's order.

Not long after the brother left, a light flashed in the room. It was Aakesh who had appeared.

He frowned when he saw the scene around him. He then snapped his fingers, and the mutilated corpses turned into ashes the next moment.

"You should tame your son," Aakesh commented as he turned to his left.

The next moment, a man with a face full of majesty appeared in that direction. It was Gray, the ruler of the Gulgans and the only Sacred Creator in the race's existence.

"Since when did you start caring for weaklings?" Gray commented and took a step forward.

The next moment, he was in front of Aakesh. He then extended his hands for a handshake.

"I have never been kind, but that doesn't mean I like someone torturing weaklings," Aakesh responded, extending his hand in response.

The next moment, the two hands met and formed a tight handshake. It seemed to be a battle as neither of the two wanted to be the first to let go of the grip.

A heavy pressure started to form, and not long after, everyone in the royal palace could feel it.

"Forget it! You win. I can't let my soldiers die," Gray commented, releasing his grip on the handshake.

The next moment, the heavy pressure disappeared as if it were never there.

"You have gotten even stronger," Gray complimented Aakesh.

"You are still the same," Aakesh responded.

Gray's lips twitched, and a vein popped out on his forehead, but he soon calmed down. Aakesh had always been like this.

When Aakesh was only a Sacred Emperor, even the peak Sacred Monarchs were not able to defeat him. Now that he had reached the Sacred Monarch level, only Sacred Creators were a match for him, and even at that level, only some of the Sacred Creators were a match for him, not everyone.

"Why did you call me?" Aakesh asked since he had come here after Gray's invitation.

Aakesh was someone who had ascended to the Sacred Dimension. His goal for that was to find out about his past.

Aakesh had opened his eyes like that, not remembering his birth memories. He only had his strong cultivation talent with him, and it had allowed him to reach peak Immortal when he was only three hundred years old.

He still wasn't very old, as he was only one thousand three hundred years old and had already reached the Sacred Monarch level.
