Chapter 1227: The Third Skill Quest!

Aakesh ignored the alerts ringing in his head as there was a customer approaching from the skill room.

"Aakesh I want to buy this," The man requested, pushing the skill card to Aakesh.

Aakesh took the card and looked at it. The next moment, the details of the skill appeared in his head, including the price.

"You need to pay seventy thousand six hundred ninety-nine supreme Sacred stones. 69,999 for the skill, while 700 for the experience cost," Aakesh informed the man.

The skill chosen by the man was of God level, while it was of the combination type, the most expensive type of all five types.

The man's lips twitched when he heard the price coming out of Aakesh's mouth, but soon he calmed down with a look of determination on his face.

The man was Sen, a peak Higher God level cultivator from a race in the Demon group. Sen had found the skill after a lot of searching since he had been looking for it for tens of thousands of years.

The same skill below the God level was available in the store, but Sen decided directly to go for the God level. His determination for the skill was such that he was willing to spend more than seventy percent of his total wealth on it.

Sen then took out the required sum, but he no longer felt any hesitation toward it. He then pushed the mountain of shining stones toward Aakesh.

Aakesh waved his hands, and the stones disappeared from the store. Not long after, an alert informing Aakesh of there being an extra supreme stone in the mix rang in his ears.

The next moment, the extra supreme Sacred stone appeared back in the store, and Aakesh returned it to Sen. Sen had willingly put in an extra stone, but Aakesh refused to take that.

The next moment, the system alert notifying Aakesh of the successful payment rang in his ears. Aakesh then informed Sen of the same and explained the way to absorb the skill.

"Thank you, Aakesh." Sen thanked Aakesh and then left toward the exit. Sen wanted to absorb the knowledge stored in the skill in a safe place, and there was none better than his residence, so he hurried in that direction.

Since no customer was approaching him, Aakesh decided to focus on the notifications he had received earlier. The next moment, several mechanical alerts bombarded his head.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on the sale of the skills! The commission for the sale of the skills by Demitri has been transferred to you.]

[The "Mission reward: One thousand purer higher Sacred stones had been transferred to the system space.]

[Host, please see the quest window for your new quest.]

The next moment, a blue window containing the details of the third quest in the skill series appeared in front of him.

[Mission Sequence: Third

Mission Objective: Sell Skills,

Requirement: Host, the store has successfully sold ten million types of Novice, Advanced, Expert, and Master level skills to the customers. Now, its time for you to increase your part and make more customers interested in the product,

Time Limit: 36,000 Days

Mission reward: Ten thousand purer higher Sacred stones,

*(10,000,000,000 Novice, Advanced, Expert, Master skills = 2,000,000,000 King level = 1,000,000,000 Emperor level = 500,000,000 God level skills.)

Soon after, a new blue screen, but smaller, containing the details of the progress, appeared on top of the mission screen.

[Mission Progress:

Time: 36,000/36,000

Novice … Master: 0/10,000,000,000,

King: 1/2,000,000,000,

Emperor: 0/1,000,000,000,

God: 1/500,000,000.]

Aakesh focused on the first screen in front of him. As expected, the sale requirement had grown by a thousand times, while the requirement had multiplied by ten times.

The reward for the third skill quest was still monetary and had grown by ten times, the same as the time limit. Since Aakesh had already received an answer for getting consecutive monetary rewards, he had already expected it.

Aakesh only took a quick glance at the failure punishment and then focused on the second smaller screen.

There had already been two sales. Since the quest was complete after the sale of the Master level skill, the King level skill bought by Dimitri was also counted for the third skill quest.

Aakesh then waved his hands, and the next moment, the two screens disappeared, waiting for him to call them back.

Aakesh then looked outside the store and then around the rooms. Since it seemed like no customer was approaching him, Aakesh closed his eyes and began another relaxation session.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

The relaxation session lasted for five minutes, the longest of the day. Aakesh had to open his eyes when he heard the sound of footsteps coming toward the store.

Aakesh turned in that direction, and the next moment, an unfamiliar face greeted his sight. Aakesh couldn't help but become surprised when he recognized the race of the being.

A beautiful woman who seemed to be in her prime stood in front of the store. She belonged to the Khostic, one of the overlord races in the Sacred Dimension.

The woman being from one of the overlord races wasn't surprising to Aakesh, but what was surprising was seeing one.

Khostics were a bunch of people who liked to live in their own world. They neither trespassed on someone else's territory nor did they like others doing it to them. They were extremely possessive about their place.

The reason they were so possessive had to do with their numbers. There were only ninety-seven Khostics in existence, and five of them were Sacred Creators, while the others ranged from Sacred King to Sacred Monarch.

Not only did they have five Sacred Creators, but the strongest being below the Void Beasts was the ruler of the Khostics. At the same time, the ruler was also the most beautiful being in the Sacred Dimension.

An ordinary being seeing a Khostic was rarer than becoming a Sacred Creator such was their secrecy from the outside world.

The woman outside the store was Stacy, a Sacred King level cultivator. As all the Khostics were extremely beautiful, Stacy was the same.

She was a slim, gorgeous woman with gray skin. Her eyes were piercingly golden and seemed full of wisdom. There was a dotted pattern on the area between her brows. If you looked closely, a flame could be seen burning in the pattern.

Stacy looked at the store with a questioning look. She hadn't come here after learning about the store, but a space-time storm had brought her here.

A space storm was a regular occurrence around fragile space areas, but the space-time storm was an immensely rare phenomenon that had happened only twice.

The case with Stacy was the third. As the name of the storm suggested, it devoured someone and then threw them out in a different time and space.

The earlier two occurrences had both occurred with the space-time storm throwing the cultivators into the past. The case with Stacy was different, as she had come to the future.

Stacy wasn't of the nearby past, but it was of several epochs. She was in the middle of ruin when suddenly a space-time storm devoured everything, including her.

It happened instantly, and it also felt like an eternity for Stacy. In the middle of the space-time storm, time stopped flowing.

So even though the storm brought her into the future instantly, she felt like she had been there forever.

To be precise, the storm brought her into this city only a few minutes ago.

She was going to search for where the Khostics were, but she found a powerful energy in the city, so she came to the store.

When she looked at the building, she found familiar energy, but at the same time, it was terrifying.

Stacy tried to remember from where she was finding the energy familiar, but she failed.

"It's that guy," Stacy suddenly commented as she remembered the source of familiarity.

There was a slight difference in the energy, but Stacy was completely confident that it was from the same source.

Stacy now had something to look forward to other than finding her planet, so she stepped forward and soon entered the store. Right after that, her eyes fell on the blue-skinned man sitting on the chair.

"You look the same yet different," Stacy commented as she approached Aakesh.

The woman's statement surprised Aakesh, prompting him to inquire, "Do you know me?"

"I don't know about you, but I knew someone who looked the same as you," Stacy commented with an astonished face.

She was astounded by the exact similarities between that guy and Aakesh, even though she could tell Aakesh was a different individual.

Aakesh felt thunder rumbling in his head when he heard the woman. The woman knowing someone who looked like him meant that Aakesh could finally learn something about him or his race.

Both were extremely important to him, so for the first time, Aakesh showed a hurried expression and asked, "Can you tell me about that person?"

"He looked the same as you, but he used to smile a lot, unlike you," Stacy commented.

A/N: Sorry, only one chapter.

I wasn't satisfied with what I wrote since Aakesh would finally know something about his past life, so I will try to write better.

Thank you for bearing with me and supporting the book!
