Chapter 1145: A New Family Member(2)
Aakesh's body began to shrink at a rapid rate, and soon he looked as if someone had covered his skeleton with skin.
It still wasn't the end, as his bones started to shrink. The egg was now feeding directly feeding from the bone marrow.
When the forty-ninth wave arrived, a glow began to appear around the egg.
When the fifty-first wave arrived, the absorption abruptly stopped. The blood wave disappeared into thin air while Aakesh began to return to his peak health at a rapid rate. In less than a minute, Aakesh returned to his peak.
Rumble!
The next moment, a rumble rang in the store, causing a loud, visible sound wave to appear.
The system acted and restricted it to the egg since the sound was the heartbeat of the creature inside the egg. It could cause severe destruction to the outside world, so the system had no other choice.
The egg belonged to a Chaos Whale, the water overlord of the Primordial Dimension, and it wasn't an ordinary race member but a royal member. The creature taking birth from the egg would at least be a powerful warrior in the Primordial Dimension, let alone the Sacred Dimension.
Time flew by, and with each passing second, the sound of the heartbeat and the light around the egg grew.
Fortunately, Aakesh had the system's help, so he and Lily were able to see inside the light. He and Lily had an excited smile spread across their face since they could feel a familiar sensation from the egg. Half of Lily's bloodline was from Aakesh, so she could sense Aakesh's bloodline from the egg.
Inside the light was a gigantic, endless heart that seemed to dwarf the entire universe in which the store was currently located, and it was loudly beating. With every beat, a ray of light would erupt from the heart and join it, forming a new tendon, vein, or other body part.
Time flew by, and several hours passed. Aakesh was halfway to his Panagea hours, while inside the light only the structure around the heart had appeared.
From the way things were going on, it seemed as if it would take decades for the creature to form. But then a miraculous scene occurred. All the blood Aakesh had fed the egg appeared above the heart like a wave and crashed into it.
In front of the sheer size of the heart, the blood wave meant nothing, but as it crashed, the heart began to expand crazily.
The sound of the heartbeat grew exceptionally loud. The system had no choice but to protect Aakesh and Lily's ears.
Around an hour more passed. In an hour, more than seventy percent of the creature had formed.
Half of its body was filled with muscle, while the other was only skeletal. With every passing second, new muscles appeared.
The creature inside the whale was several times larger than an average Chaos Whale despite only being a newborn. Aakesh believed it had to do with the mutant characteristics of the egg.
Time flew by, and another hour passed in a flash.
The creature had now completely formed, but its eyes were closed.
Inside the light was the mutant Chaos Whale. It was bigger in size than an average Chaos Whale. If it were to appear in the Sacred Dimension, it would be bigger than the size of several universes. It was only that the system had compressed the image of the whale, or Aakesh and Lily wouldn't have even seen an eye with their sight.
The creature inside the light had a flat head with a U-shaped rostrum and a large, wide mouth. It had two blowholes on top of its head used to expel chaotic energy. It had a long streamlined body that was black like an abyss, while there were a few dark red spots at regular distance. On the area between its eyes, there was an arch-like structure, and at its tip, there was an incomprehensible pattern engraved.
It might be incomprehensible for others, but not for Aakesh. He recognized the pattern's meaning right away, and it meant 'One who should never be Born!'
Aakesh couldn't help but raise his eyes in surprise as he read the meaning. Chaos Whales were the water overlord creatures, and above them only stood the Devas.
"Is he cursed by the Devas," Aakesh mumbled since if the whale was cursed by the Devas, it meant things were going to take an ugly turn.
Devas were very peaceful and stayed out of matters unrelated to their race. If even then they cursed, Aakesh couldn't even imagine what had happened.
'Is that a conspiracy of Vritrasura?' Aakesh couldn't help but think since the egg was a gift he received from Vritrasura.
"Hey, system, is the egg cursed by Devas?" Aakesh had the system with him, so he decided to ask about it.
[Yes, Host!]
The next moment, he heard what he didn't want to hear. Aakesh felt disdain at other races, but Devas were something even he felt awed by. The Devas were the true favored children of the Multiverse with enough buffs to never fall out of their power.
"Hey, system, how did you offset the curse left by the Devas and hatched it?" Aakesh asked since it made no sense.
[Host, the curse had disappeared. The pattern is just a remnant of that curse!]
Suddenly, a horrible idea emerged in Aakesh's head as he looked up. It was as if Aakesh could see beyond the ceiling of the store, even the dimension, and could see Vritrasura laughing, sitting on a throne.
Aakesh kept the idea to himself. He didn't even ask the system about it and returned his focus to the creature inside the light.
It didn't matter whether the curse was removed. The moment he decided to hatch the Chaos Whale, it had become a part of his family, and he didn't care even if Devas stood against him.
Time flew by, and another two hours passed.
The light started to recede as the creature began to grow smaller. Ten minutes later, the whale had grown to the size of Aakesh, and it was still dropping in size.
When it reached Lily's size, the reduction stopped. Its eyes were still closed, but its eyelids finally made a slight movement. Aakesh and Lily's excitement reached its peak at that time.
