Chapter 1059: A New Day for the Store(7)

On the card, the upper half was filled with the butterfly's illustration.

It was a stunningly beautiful creature. It wasn't very big; it had slender limbs and an elegant form. Its skin was a soft lavender with iridescent patterns that glowed in the dark. Its wings were its most striking feature. It was an elaborate span with moving membranes that acted as a prism to reflect the light. Its eyes were large and luminous. All in all, it was one of the most beautiful, vibrant creatures not only in the Sacred Dimension but also in the Multiverse.

It would melt even the cruelest of hearts, but Lyraia's eyes remained as dead as ever when she saw the card. After finding it was the one Aakesh had suggested to her, she turned around and left the room.

Aakesh was relaxing in his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction, to find it was none other than Lyraia.

***

"Aakesh, I want this one," Lyraia said and pushed the card toward Aakesh.

Aakesh nodded and took the card from her hands. Aakesh took a look at the beast and then tapped twice on the storefront's pattern at the back of the card.

"You need to kill it, or you can also make it submit to you without fighting if you have the capability," Aakesh stated and returned the card to Lyraia.

Lyraia didn't say anything and took the card. The next moment, the view in front of her changed, and she found herself in an unfamiliar area.

***

At that moment, Lyraia stood in a lush, verdant forest, with the sound of a gentle stream running not far from her. There were flowers of every color and shape all over the landscape, giving off a pleasant smell. Sunlight filtered through the oval-shaped leaves, adding further to the beauty of the area.

The area was serene, and at that moment, a butterfly the size of a few inches came down and began flying above Lyraia.

Aakesh told Lyraia to kill the Serenity Butterfly to tame it, so she immediately got ready. Her hands turned golden, and she punched the butterfly.

The Serenity Butterfly didn't run away. Instead, it activated Melodic Song, flapping its wings and creating a soft, melodic sound.

The soothing Aura and Melodic Song had the same effects, but the Melodic Song was clearly better as it instantly worked while the Soothing Aura gradually worked, slowly calming down the user.

Lyraia's hands stopped for a moment, but the emotions forced inside her heart were so high that the skill's effect broke down in less than a moment, and the punch continued forward.

The Serenity Butterfly didn't make any moves and let the punch hit it. The next moment, the butterfly exploded into a blood cloud while the serene area around Lyraia broke down.

***

Aakesh nodded as he had expected this from the Serenity Butterfly. It was one of the rare creatures that were both beautiful and kind at the same time. Seeing so much rage and different negative emotions in Lyraia, the butterfly immediately decided to choose it as its owner.

Even the Melodic Song it used wasn't to defend but to calm the raging emotions in Lyraia's heart.

Lyraia didn't care that much and asked Aakesh what to do next.

***

"You need to pay one hundred three thousand supreme Sacred stones..." Aakesh outlined the price Lyraia had to pay to complete the last step and own the Serenity Butterfly.

The Serenity Butterfly only cost three thousand, and more than one hundred thousand was the summoning cost since it was the seventeenth round of summoning when Lyraia got it.

Lyraia didn't care and again took out a mountain of stones from her space ring.

Aakesh then suggested that Lyraia buy an Ultimate Store Card. It was as if Aakesh were some lost relative; whatever Aakesh said, Lyraia immediately agreed with. Aakesh became even more curious. Was it all her imagination? Or was he so close to her that she trusted him so much despite the memory not being there?

These were all the questions to which Aakesh would find answers in the future, so he stopped thinking about them. He then told Lyraia to store her Sacred stones inside the card.

After that, Aakesh wouldn't need to see a mountain of stones every time; he would ask for payment. The required sum got deducted from her store card the next moment, and soon after, the system informed Aakesh about the successful payment.

***

Since Lyraia had nothing to do and Aakesh told her to wait if she wanted to enter Panage, she decided to follow it. In the waiting corner, she was seating with the garland of a severed head still present there, while the beautiful Serenity Butterfly was flying round and round above her, releasing Soothing Aura.

Aakesh was introducing the store's products to a new customer when another customer entered the store and looked around in awe.

As Aakesh was busy in conversation with a customer, the man decided to look around until that time. His eyes then fell on Lyraia, who was looking up at the roof without blinking even once.

The man's eyes expanded into slits when he saw the head. He immediately turned around and left the store.

***

"We need to stop our plan," Fricky announced with an ugly expression.

In front of him sat several beings from different demon races. Fricky belonged to a bandit group, and he recognized the severed head to be one of his rival bandit groups.

Fricky had plans to loot a village near Thorr City, but when he saw the head, he mistook Lyraia for a bandit hunter. So he went back to his temporary base and told everyone that he was no longer going to loot and rampage around Thorr City.

The people of Truana village were unaware that a misunderstanding saved many of their village members' lives and dignity.

***

Aakesh didn't care after the new customer suddenly left the store and returned to his relaxation session after the customer left for the beast's room.

***

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh opened his eyes and turned in the direction of the sound of footsteps. He found it to be an unfamiliar face.
