Chapter 1017: The Predos!
When there was only about an hour left before dusk, a door suddenly materialized and startled the customer talking to Aakesh.

A creature as large as an adult Vurron emerged from the room as the door clicked open. As it stepped down the stairs, its size began to reduce, and when its feet touched the floor, its size was less than a human palm.
Lily jumped on Aakesh's head, not caring about the customer's reaction. Aakesh smiled and returned his focus to the customer in front of him.
"After pills, weapons, panagea, and the cultivation arts, the store sells beasts.
There are various types of beasts available in the store. It will depend on your luck as to what race you summon from the Beast Summoner Device.

As he had done with the other four products before Lily's abrupt entrance cut off the conversation, Aakesh introduced the Beast Summoner Device.
The man forgot about Lily and focused wholeheartedly on the introduction. The man was a non-demon Lesser God level cultivator whose luck made him discover the store.
"Store owner, I want to enter Panagea," The man requested Aakesh, only to face disappointment after learning that the spots were already filled and it was the last group to enter Panagea.
Since the man was a Lesser God, pills, weapons, and cultivation arts currently sold by the store were of no use to him. Only the Beast Summoner Device was left, as it would give him a loyal pet.
"Store owner, I will try my luck on the beast summoning," The man told Aakesh.
In response, Aakesh pointed at the room and told the man about the process of summoning and then returning the card.
"Thank you, store owner," The man thanked Aakesh and then proceeded toward the room.

The man looked at the card in his hands in surprise. It was only his first attempt at summoning, and he summoned a legendary quality Shadow Wolf.
The Shadow Wolf was a rare species in the wolf's group, as these creatures weren't naturally born but were the result of mutations in a few Dark Wolf cubs. They weren't as strong as the Dark Wolf, but the ferocity of the Shadow Wolf was second to none in the wolf group.
The man decided to buy the creature since he liked the skills it had.
Seconds turned into minutes; minutes turned into an hour, and just like that, the hour before the sunset passed in a flash.
The system forced the fourth group of customers out one by one, depending on their entry sequence.
Soon, only Aakesh and Lily were left alone in the store.

"Let's go!" Aakesh commented after closing the door, bringing an end to the day for the store.
The next moment, a blue light covered Aakesh and Lily. It disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, and with it, Aakesh and Lily also disappeared from the store.
Lily jumped down from Aakesh's head upon appearing in the selection area. Her mood from yesterday's events still seemed to be good, as she didn't make any faces and went to the training area.
After Lily left, Aakesh closed all his senses, went to the weapons section, and randomly picked one. He then went to the right section, chose the usual training area, and pressed the switch.
The next moment, the space around him cracked open and formed a portal, which immediately sucked him inside without giving him any chance to fight back.

Aakesh had selected a Warhammer for today, while his opponent was from a powerful demon race, the Predos.
The Predos people were one of the ruling races of the demons in the Sacred Dimension. The Predos were thin creatures with broad chests. There was a hole at the center of their upper body.
The Predos only had one eye and a pair of grey wings that seemed like bones. Their eye was without a pupil, as the entirety of it was grey like the wings.
Ding!
Ro-
As the bell announcing the start of the battle rang, the Predos roared toward Aakesh, but its roar came to a sudden halt as Aakesh crushed it to ash with a single hit from the Warhammer.
The battle ended as quickly as it began, and the regular blue screen popped out in front of Aakesh again.
Aakesh tapped on the screen and chose to fight the second round.
The Predos's veins had popped out in anger after it appeared in the arena for the second round. If eyes could kill, Aakesh would have already died.
Ding!
The bell rang again, and similar to the last round, the battle ended even before the ringing sound could subside.
Time flew by, and Aakesh and the Predos's battle reached the one-hundredth round.
Roar!
The Predos roared and charged at Aakesh with a gray ball of energy floating above it.
Aakesh also brought the Warhammer and swung it at the creature's head.
Boom!
The grey ball of energy suddenly came between the Predos's head and the Warhammer and exploded with a touch.
