Chapter 93: Explaining the Procedure
After watching the video, Keith licked his lips and asked, “How did you do that?”
Xiao Ying rewound the video to the beginning and started explaining step by step.
The doctors took up their notebooks and carefully took notes on what she said. When they didn’t understand something, they immediately interrupted with questions.
It gave everyone the experience of returning to school.
Time passed little by little. Xiao Ying finally stopped when the sky gradually turned dark.
The doctors still felt like they had not had enough.
One asked, “The most important factor is the use of acupuncture to stop the bleeding, right?”
Xiao Ying nodded and said, “Acupuncture is the fastest method to stop the bleeding. At present, I have yet to find any other methods or medicines that can be used as replacements.”
The doctor shook his head decisively and said, “That’s already very good. There’s no need to replace it.”
Xiao Ying smiled and said, “This acupuncture method is not easy to learn. If you can’t find a replacement, you can only put in the effort to learn it. Otherwise, this procedure won’t be able to be promoted for wider usage.”
The doctor asked in surprise, “You’re willing to teach the acupuncture method?”
Xiao Ying nodded matter-of-factly and said, “This is a skill, and it’s not something bad. Why can’t it be spread?”
They did not doubt the authenticity of her words. Just from her explanation of the procedure before, they knew that she wasn’t withholding anything at all.
Such magnanimity was admirable.
Keith looked at Xiao Ying and said seriously, “I thank you on behalf of Qin Yue and everyone else.”
Xiao Ying hurriedly waved her hands.
Keith asked, “Do you have time to teach some classes at the University of Science and Technology?”
The University of Science and Technology was the most famous medical school in the country. Xiao Ying knew the significance of the procedure she just performed, so she was not surprised that Keith would make such a request.
She just hadn’t expected him to have connections to the University of Science and Technology.
Keith explained, “My aunt is the principal of the university.”
Xiao Ying nodded in understanding. “It would be an honor.”
While the two of them chatted pleasantly, the doctors beside them were unhappy.
They called out to the director in protest; they wanted to learn too.
Xiao Ying did not make things difficult for Keith. She said, “I still need to observe Colonel Qin Yue’s rehabilitation, so I’ll be coming to the hospital often. Plus, I need to keep an eye on the X-ray spots.”
The doctors cheered after realizing this meant that she would be teaching classes at the hospital first.
Without the doctors noticing, Keith secretly led Xiao Ying out of the office and the two of them walked to Qin Yue’s ward.
Through the glass window, he looked at the unconscious Qin Yue and said with a sigh, “You don’t know how stubborn this guy is. If he really got an amputation, I can’t even bring myself to imagine what will happen to him.”
As he spoke, his eyes reddened.
It was obvious that he had been extremely worried about his friend recently.
“They are defending our homes and protecting our country. I have a responsibility to protect them,” Xiao Ying said.
Keith’s expression froze. He knew she was responding to his thanks from earlier. He looked at Xiao Ying’s soft side profile and said, “You really are a strange girl.”
These words caused Xiao Ying to chuckle. “Those words of yours are really overused.”
Keith shook his head and glanced at the man inside the ward again. “Let’s go.”
After Keith drove her to her apartment complex, Xiao Ying waved at him and entered her apartment.
Keith didn’t go back immediately. He lit a cigarette, taking slow puffs. He only started the car after he reached the end of the stick.
On the road, he told his aunt about Xiao Ying. Her first reaction was to not believe it.
Keith didn’t say much and just sent her the video. He knew she would understand how sensational this video was.
Sure enough, as soon as Keith arrived home, he received a phone call from his aunt.
As soon as the call connected, she roared over the phone. “Little punk, if this video is fake, you’re dead.”
Keith rubbed his ears and said, “Aunt, the patient in the video was Qin Yue.”
Luna’s voice fell silent at those words. She knew her nephew would never joke about his good friend’s injury.
